I’m certain this perfume puts Mandarin Sky in check. If you like that one, this is the next step: the opening is similar, but over time, the woody and gourmand notes take over. The dry-down is very close to Scandal Absolu. If Mandarin Sky is for people under 20, this is for those who want that DNA but with more maturity, less bright and flashy, denser and more polished. Performance is equal to or better than Odyssey. The chess-piece bottle convinced me, and I wasn’t wrong; it’s an Armaf gem that deserves more recognition, and I appreciate that it doesn’t smell too burnt.
Without a doubt, this perfume puts Mandarin Sky in checkmate. If you like that one, this is the next step: at first they’re identical, but over time the vanilla and gourmand notes take over, drying down very similar to Scandal Absolu. While Mandarin Sky is for under 20s, this is for those seeking the same DNA but with more maturity; it feels less loud and more dense and polished. It performs similarly or even better than Odyssey. The chessboard bottle convinced me and I didn’t make a mistake—it’s an Armaf gem that deserves more fame and, plus, it’s not overhyped at all.
It smells like Mandarin Sky at first, but then the party starts and Scandal Absolu shows up. I own both and can’t find any difference; great job by Armaf.

Delicious scent. Very sweet. It’s very similar to Mandarin Sky. If you already have it, I wouldn’t recommend buying the Armaf King. Although you can tell it’s higher quality, the notes could feel identical unless you analyze them closely. And wow, it has power—8 hours easily on clothes. On skin, you have to press your nose right against it. Definitely unisex and perfect for fall and winter.
Smells really good; the opening is very fruity, just like the regular Scandal. Then it turns into something fruity, creamy, with that hazelnut touch and a bit of gourmand. Honestly, it smells amazing, but the longevity leaves something to be desired.
I haven’t had the chance to try Scandal Absolu, but it does remind me of Mandarin Sky in the opening. Once it dries down, it feels like a super creamy and pleasant fragrance, with its fruity and sweet notes. It has amazing longevity, lasting over 8 hours, and the quality is excellent.
Sorry if my opinion offends or confuses anyone, but for me, this scent is about 25% Honro & Glory, 25% Khamrah, a bit of Kay Lai’s Yum Gelato Pistachio, and a dark touch of some Dior. I don’t know, but its aroma subtly brings various perfumes to mind. It makes you think.
Quick summary: it’s a more mature Mandarin Sky/Scandal EDT. The rest? It lasts well, leaves a trail, the bottle is top-notch, and the price is right.

I tested Scandal Absolu in-store. I own this one, and it smells 95% similar. While, as someone commented below, the opening doesn’t resemble Scandal Absolu but rather the regular Scandal, the dry down is very close, almost indistinguishable.

Reminds me of Mandarin Sky, and even when it dries down, it smells just like the new Scandal.
