Bvlgari Man Glacial Essence is an aromatic and fresh fragrance. Its scent isn’t as common as recent launches; it’s fresh but not in a fruity or aquatic style. It’s more slightly herbal, but above all woody and musky. It’s very pleasant and inoffensive, with a slightly creamy sensation. Good for the office since it’s very discreet, which is characteristic of many Bvlgari fragrances, but also for informal outings with friends, like going to the movies. Regarding longevity, it lasted over 9 hours, but as I mentioned, always close to the skin. In terms of age range, I believe it’s a fragrance that can be worn by young people, middle-aged, or seniors, meaning no restrictions. As for climate or season, it adapts best to warm days, in spring, summer, and even autumn on lighter, warm days. I’ve seen comparisons with Carolina Herrera’s 212, and while they aren’t identical, they manage a similar style. I like it, even a bit more than Wood Essence and Wood Neroli.
I thought it would be something more ‘fresh,’ but no. To be honest, these flankers from the ‘BVLGARI MAN’ family have a demeanor as sober as their packaging, and by that I don’t mean it’s bad; quite the opposite. If you’re looking for a soft, slightly green, and aromatic fragrance, go for it… I find it quite limited in use, meaning for daytime activities and strictly office wear with Italian-cut dress pants, or chino-cut pants, paired with a shirt, loafers, and some really good sunglasses… This fragrance is very Italian. As the hours pass, its woody notes settle in, a soft musk that makes it slightly sweet, and a lily root that adds a somewhat earthy, powdery touch.
A fragrance that doesn’t make much of an impression; very mainstream, and its longevity is max 5 hours. There are undoubtedly better options, even within the same Bvlgari house. 6/10.
I tried it at a retail store. It’s a good scent, pleasant, and ideal for the office. It has a very distinct clean smell and gives the sensation of a cold breeze.
12/24/2020 IT DOES WHAT IT’S SUPPOSED TO DO: SMELL GOOD. TO A CERTAIN EXTENT, IT’S A PLEASANT HERBAL SCENT. IT’S FRESH AND TRADITIONAL AT FIRST, BUT AS IT EVOLVES ON THE SKIN, IT BECOMES CREAMY. IN MY OPINION, IT’S SHY BUT IMPRESSIVE AT THE SAME TIME. THIS FRAGRANCE IS IDEAL FOR DAILY WEAR WITH A WHITE SHIRT AND JEANS; IT’S SPARKLING AND NOT AT ALL UNCOMFORTABLE TO THE NOSE. I’LL BE UPDATING ON ITS PERFORMANCE AND MY RECOMMENDATION IS TO APPLY IT TO YOUR SKIN BEFORE MAKING A FINAL DECISION. PERSONALLY, I LOVED IT FOR WEEKENDS AND FOR CHRISTMAS EVE TODAY. GREETINGS TO EVERYONE, HAVE A HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND MY BEST WISHES TO ALL!
What a pity to have such a beautiful brand image and bottle… everything to succeed, but mediocre execution and high prices. It seems like it won’t last, but at a low profile, it holds for hours. The problem is that the scent lacks presence, charm, brightness, and quality. It’s very safe-mode, for the office, requiring a midday reapplication, with no big pretensions. You can smell the spice, the musk, and the issue is that prominent ambroxan note, which I don’t like much. I won’t list it; it has a clear feeling for me. Since it’s so minimal, I should try it more without interference, but anyway, a straight-up NEXT for me, haha.
What a bad fragrance, honestly, you expect so much from it. Its bottle and image are top-notch to smell similar to Carolina Herrera’s 212, just a bit less sweet, at such a high price. I was let down; the longevity wasn’t good. At that price, there are excellent fragrances, and better ones from the Armani house.
Fresh, clean, slightly floral, embracing, and delicious. What a pity that after five minutes there’s no trail and it’s only detectable close to the skin, lasting about two hours. I think it’s the perfume with the worst performance I’ve tried. What a shame because the bottle is gorgeous and the aroma is delightful, but paying for something that evaporates in minutes is unfair; there are better options.
Rich fragrance with a familiar scent and a recurring accord found in several aquatic scents: you take one away, put it in another, and that’s the result. Here, I mixed 50% 212 Aqua and 50% Aqva pour Homme Atlantique, and that’s what came out.
Glacial Essence is clean and pleasant but leaves me indifferent. Something ordinary for such a beautiful name; you expect mint or a cooling sensation, though I don’t think it’s worth the price. Moderate to weak longevity.
Clean fragrance, like just out of the shower. Then it gives a fresh vibe. The first hour’s projection is adequate for a reserved setting; you won’t impact many people. Starting from the second hour, it’s only noticeable if someone gets very close. 5/10.
It’s a clean fragrance, like just out of the shower. Then it generates a feeling of freshness. The projection for the first hour is adequate for a reserved environment. You won’t impact a large crowd. Starting from the second hour, the scent is only noticeable if you get very close. 5/10.
Clean, citrusy, and woody fragrance, with a clean wood that shines in heat and rain. Projects well and lasts longer than average. Smells like a high-end fragrance, worth the price.
A clean, citrus, and woody fragrance, but a clean wood that can be used on hot days and rainy days alike. It projects well and lasts a bit longer than average. It smells like a high-end fragrance; it’s worth it.
All reviewers criticize that it doesn’t last, doesn’t project, and is forgettable… I bought it just for the line and for my collection… but when I applied it to the back of my hand, ¡puuuuuf, what a beast, folks! It lasted nearly 12 hours. Impressive, especially since my crocodile skin is an unkillable fragrance magnet.
All the ‘reviewers’ criticize this perfume… saying it doesn’t last, doesn’t project, is forgettable, and blah blah blah…. I bought it just because I like the line and wanted to have it in my collection…. but when I applied it to the back of my hand, puuuuf, what a beast, guys!!!! It lasted close to 12 hours! I thought it was impressive… and that’s even though my ‘crocodile skin’ is a fragrance fail-proof zone 🤷🏻♂️
Very good perfume, one of the best among the blue fragrances I know. Good longevity, average projection. Distinct aroma, doesn’t remind me of anything, maybe due to the juniper berries. The dry-down is top-notch. I’d buy it again without hesitation. I’d read that other Bulgari scents, like Black, don’t last, but on my skin, this one does, and more than enough. Greetings.
Spectacular. People talk badly about it, but I love it and it’s my favorite. I already need another bottle; this will be the only one I repeat.
On dry down, it smells unbearably similar to Sauvage.
I don’t understand why it’s so underestimated. Unlike others in its price range, this one actually smells like perfume with fine ingredients. We look for that, and few offer it. It might smell a bit generic, but for a good olfacto, it’s a complex and balanced jewel where no single ingredient stands out. I’m not discarding it for my signature scent because it has personality and isn’t overbearing. It’s sophisticated and clean, something you’ll never see matched in decent clones. Very hard to clone. One of those perfumes where you immediately recognize the original. 9.5/10, undervalued.
I think this fragrance has exaggerated hate. Look, its scent is very rich; it’s fresh and woody, giving a great feeling of freshness and comfort. Honestly, it lifts my mood. It’s a subtle scent of cleanliness and works great in enclosed spaces. I use it for the office and some daytime outings. I don’t see a place for it at night. The flaw is its longevity; it doesn’t last beyond 7 hours. Also, its price isn’t the cheapest on the market. I love it; it’s a perfume that looks good at any time of day. I give it an 8/10.
I think it has an exaggerated hate. The scent is very rich, fresh, and woody, giving a great feeling of freshness and comfort. It boosts my mood. It’s subtle, clean, and perfect for indoor settings. I use it at the office and for daytime outings, but I don’t see a place for it at night. The flaw is the longevity, it doesn’t pass 7 hours, and the price isn’t the cheapest. I love it, it lasts all day for me. I give it an 8/10.
I love it! It has a well-masculine woody freshness. It falls short on longevity for its price. In Argentina, it’s quite expensive, but you can tell it’s very high quality.
I’ll be buying it soon; it’ll be my next acquisition. I tried a 2 ml decant, and it was a unique scent, nothing like 212 as they say. It smells fresh, clean, and expensive, ideal for ages 25 to 40.
Bvlgari Man Glacial Essence: Minimalist and elegant, reminiscent of 212 and CK One. It’s a revitalizing scent that combines fougère notes, herbs, and a touch of sweet floral, like a cold breeze. It’s versatile, perfect for the office, beach weddings, or the gym. It attracts everyone and lifts the mood. It projects a subtle skin scent. Ideal for warm, sunny days. Verdict: an absolutely pleasant fragrance. Rating: 8/10.
Hi! Good perfume, rich and quite durable. When I use it again, I love it. I don’t see much resemblance to 212, though both are fougères. I use several different perfumes every day so I don’t smell the same as the person behind me in line. I don’t keep anything reserved for special occasions. Cheers.
I think it’s a fresh herbal aromatic, similar to 212 but with citrus mixed into the woods. It’s for casual wear. It’s rare that it doesn’t last more than 4 hours on my skin, but on my watch strap, it lasted about 6 days. I recommend it if you’re looking for something safe in the fruity aromatic category.
An easy-to-love perfume, perfect for autumn and spring.
I tried it at the airport a year ago and added it to my wishlist immediately. Finally, I found a used bottle from the 2020 batch, nearly full, for 60 Canadian dollars. On my skin, it lasts about 8 hours, which is incredible considering the oxidation. The scent is very easy to wear—a perfect balance between aromatic and woody without being heavy. It feels fresh, almost citrusy, ideal for daily use or the office. It’s not groundbreaking and could be forgettable, but it’s clean, masculine, and the bottle is elegant and understated.
