  • This new oriental version of Bvlgari kicks off with a spark of rum, but without being cloying. The liquor fades quickly, leaving a smoky, dry, and linear profile that doesn’t change until the very end. The leather and oud are very muted, almost skin-scent. The sillage isn’t great, and longevity is short on my skin. It pays homage to Van Cleef & Arpels’ Midnight in Paris, which I love, but Bvlgari Man Black Orient lacks the originality and character to make me decide to buy it. It resembles the other flankers in the line, though with that smoky novelty touch. It’s not a bad perfume, but it doesn’t convince me due to a lack of body, projection, and intensity to be well-rounded or special.

  • This ‘Oriental’ version of Bvlgari starts with a spectacular rum note, yet it’s not sweet or cloying. The boozy opening fades quickly, leaving a smoky, dry, and linear profile that stays consistent until the very end. The leather and oud are very muted, barely skimming the skin. The trail is nonexistent, and the longevity is frankly short on my skin. It pays homage to Van Cleef & Arpels’ Midnight in Paris, which I love, but Bvlgari Man Black Orient lacks the originality and character to make me buy it. It resembles other Bvlgari Man flankers, though with that smoky twist some might enjoy. It’s not a bad fragrance, but it doesn’t convince me because it lacks body, projection, and intensity to feel complete or special.

  • At first, it smelled bad, something I haven’t felt with perfumes in a long time. Over time, that sensation fades and becomes pleasant, though it clings to the skin. Of the listed notes, what I notice most is a slightly dirty oud followed by sweet elements. I’m going to buy it tomorrow.

  • I really liked Bvlgari Man Black Orient, even more than the Man Black. It’s an oriental scent, darker, denser, and smokier, yet it keeps its sensuality. At first, it’s aggressive, spicy, and medicinal, probably due to the oud. This lasts about 30 minutes before softening into something floral and sensual. In this phase, it resembles the Man Black more, highlighting the leather and sweet notes like vanilla or tonka bean. It’s for winter, fall, or nights due to its warm and woody style, though it could work for a date if applied an hour ahead to let the harsher phase settle. It wins on intensity and longevity without being a beast. I recommend it to those who already like the Man Black or spicy leather fragrances.

  • I really liked Bvlgari Man Black Orient, even more than the original. It’s a darker, denser, and smokier oriental fragrance, but it maintains its sensuality. At first, it feels aggressive, spicy, and medicinal, likely due to the oud, and this lasts about 30 minutes. Afterward, it softens, becoming floral and sensual, resembling the mother scent with its leather and sweet notes of vanilla or tonka bean. It’s ideal for winter or fall due to its warm and woody style, or for a date if applied an hour in advance to let the harsher phase pass. It gains in intensity and longevity without being a beast, maintaining Bvlgari’s elegance. I recommend it to those who already like the Black or spicy leather fragrances.

  • Alberto Morillas was born in Seville in 1950 and moved to Geneva at age 10. At 20, he convinced Firmenich to accept him without a Chemistry degree. Today, he is one of the most important perfumers at the house, collaborating with Bvlgari and Gucci. His hits include Acqua di Giò, CK One, Flower by Kenzo, and Versace Pour Homme. BVLGARI MAN BLACK ORIENT opens similarly to Man In Black but soon reveals its oriental tone. It features saffron (unlisted), followed by liquor and rose, creating an Arab rhythm and an Andalusian zambra. Imagine a Moorish dancer in silks unraveling oriental aromas. The liquor, rose, and tuberose notes invite you to sleep on satin cushions under a sleepy midday sun. Then comes a tanned leather, not animal, with deep notes. The oud is soft and restrained, giving a smooth, smoky dry-down. I believe it contains Iso E-Super, and I love it. That’s why both Man Black and Black Orient remind me of Lalique’s Encre Noir, which I also adore. I’m addicted to Iso E-Super. BVLGARI MAN BLACK ORIENT offers above-average sillage and longevity; it will appeal to lovers of the rose-oud combo, without the aggression of Dubai scents, carrying the gentleness of Bvlgari, experts in delicate and exquisite fragrances.

  • First purchase from the brand based on reviews and notes. Bought blind and I’m very satisfied. Few recent fragrances offer both sillage and longevity, except maybe BVLGARI MAN BLACK ORIENT with good projection. Generous application, about 10 sprays, lasting 12 hours. Rum, leather, and oud, with the rum really standing out; I only notice the cardamomo once it dries down. On my skin, it works perfectly at 59-63°F, ideal for fall/winter. I recommend trying this woody oriental. Price: 7/10, Sillage: 7/10, Longevity: 8/10, Versatility: 3/10. The bottle is gorgeous and feels great in the hand. Very satisfied. Greetings from Argentina.

  • For anyone who finds Black, Ch Privilège, or Spicebomb lacking in longevity and projection: this smells just like Black but with more leather, then shifts toward Ch Privilège with that intoxicating touch, and finally settles into pure pepper, much like VR. Performance is very decent, better than any of the three. If you already own those, this one feels redundant. I got rid of all of them and kept this one.

  • I wouldn’t recommend this blindly; it smells very feminine with that aggressive rose note. I tried it today and it was a huge disappointment compared to the wonders people were talking about. The classic version is much better.

It’s a spectacular fragrance, ultra good. I bought it to have a version similar to the Bvlgari Man in Black, and indeed, it has a great similarity. Although it’s good, it doesn’t surpass the original, which remains my favorite fragrance: the Bvlgari Man in Black.

I find it a spectacular, ultra-good fragrance. I bought it to have a version similar to BMIB, and indeed, it has great similarity. It’s good, but not better than the mother; my favorite fragrance remains Bvlgari Man in Black.

  • Refined, masculine, intense. All the best of the 80s and 90s is summarized in this fragrance without being heavy to wear. A masterpiece by Morillas!

  • PERFECT FOR A DEFINED AND UNMISTAKABLE PERSONALITY. THERE IS NONE BETTER. PERHAPS THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN CAST A SHADOW IS DIOR’S FAHRENHEIT. A small application lasts many hours of strong scent. Other perfumes fade as hours pass until only weak base notes remain; here, the base is a claw. The oud, a mix of mint, menthol, and camphor, gives freshness, greenery, and air; and the leather adds softness. I lived the absolutely personal and secret spectacle of walking, moving my head, and feeling how the notes activate with movement and body heat, yet it doesn’t evaporate or get lost in the wind. What other perfume is like this? It doesn’t matter; you don’t need any other.

  • If you have personality and don’t hide it, this is the only one that will understand you. One drop, and forget about searching for it for hours; while others fade, this sticks like a claw. That mix of oud with mint, menthol, and camphor gives a fresh, green vibe that blends perfectly with the softness of the leather. It’s a private spectacle: as you move and warm up, the notes activate and don’t get lost in the wind. There’s nothing like it, and you don’t need anything else.

Greetings. As some YouTubers say: ‘It blew my mind.’ What a special fragrance, very elegant, overwhelming, with personality. Whoever wears it must be very confident but assured that wherever they go, they will make a great impression; it’s captivating and generates compliments. It was the last one left in the store since they told me it was discontinued… what a pity.

A modern and oriental fragrance, very well combined and simply brilliant. The natural evolution of Man in Black, more elegant and persuasive, creating a perfect woody and gourmand accord. At first, the rum and neroli stroll cheerfully; the base confirms the vigorous personality with a rose essence, while the oud warms up with leather and vanilla notes. A harmonious and seductive fragrance with notable persistence: it can be a bit loud at the start, but then it balances pleasantly and remains as an exotic, sexy, and suggestive companion for hours, evoking burning fireplaces, rum in elegant glasses, and intimate atmospheres full of caresses. A leather scent, dense and smoky, yet sweet and captivating, dressing you like a tailored suit, blowing a voluptuousness that made me sigh and desire better times to wear it as it deserves.

M.B. Orient is more complex than its siblings, but easy to wear if you like a perfume that denotes character; its trail and projection won’t let you go unnoticed. It’s another creation by Alberto Morillas for cold, nocturnal weather without exaggeration; I’d say it’s superior to the other flankers due to a more complex and sophisticated note development. Longevity is around 8 hours or more. The best part: the evolution of the oud and leather alongside the spices, which combine as base notes with sublime bursts.

  • Simply an elegant perfume. Its sillage isn’t intense enough to turn heads, but anyone nearby will perceive it, and those accompanying you will enjoy it as much as you do. It says: I’m here, feel me, and enjoy it. Elegant, powerful, attractive, and masculine; in my opinion, it’s the best of Bvlgari’s 5-element collection. You can’t stop using it if you’re going out with that special woman; I think it’s an excellent companion to pair with Mugler’s Angel, Tom Ford’s Velvet Orchid, or Lancôme’s La Vie Est Belle. A very masculine and powerful perfume to accompany a great woman with presence.

  • When something as well-known and pleasant as this famous oriental fragrance, with its trio of oud, rose, and leather… success is guaranteed. Though it may seem simple, it is far more complex, and in this BVLGARI, the perfect balance has been achieved: here, Morillas adds the brand’s DNA with fine, elegant notes characteristic of a master. When the brand’s tradition meets an author who signs their work, we get this BVLGARI that is totally oriental and meets the expectations of those who know what lies behind. Here, there is nothing complicated, but rather something contradictory. The power and animality of the oud and leather are gratifyingly tamed by the master’s soft notes. An intense, warm, elegant, dense, and very masculine scent. With the necessary darkness for occasions seeking masculine warmth. A good option for cold weather, autumnal settings, or mild nights. Personally, I prefer this version over the incense-heavy Man in Black flankers because it removes the touch of scents chosen by older men. The price is fair for this quality. If you can’t assume it, it’s an easily replicable aroma today, like Perfumers Parlour, but to avoid allergen issues, I always recommend the original for the peace of mind of its quality controls. In short, a very good option among Oud, Leather, and Rose scents.

  • Simply elegant perfume, with a trail not so intense that people turn around, but anyone nearby will perceive it, and whoever is next to you will enjoy it as much as you. This perfume says: I am here, feel me, and enjoy it. Elegant, powerful, attractive, and masculine; in my opinion, the best of the Bvlgari 5 Elements collection. You can’t stop using it if you’re out with that special woman; I think it’s an excellent companion to pair with Mugler’s Angel, Tom Ford’s Velvet Orchid, or Lancôme’s La Vie Est Belle. A very masculine and powerful perfume to be worn with a great woman, one of presence and power.

  • Very similar to the original but with a twist that makes it more formal and masculine. Totally recommended!
