Delicious, fresh, classic, and talc-free. A proposal worth attention, masculine and clean, with decent longevity and non-negligible projection. I find it balanced, stately yet casual at the same time, different from any other fragrance today. British style, for sure; it makes you feel fresh and comfortable, not invasive but well perceptible. In short, a sophisticated warmth that earns my enthusiastic approval.

  • Fortinental

This perfume is classic and totally timeless. It’s in the same style as many perfumes from the 90s, like Egoïste Platinum, Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme, XS, among others. At the start, it opens with bergamot, and you quickly feel the mint too. In its mid-stage, you clearly feel the cedar note, giving it an excellent, very formal woody touch. The geranium note, when tested on skin, I can confirm it’s clearly felt (I didn’t notice it much on paper). It’s a very English-style perfume, faithful to the Burberry brand. I see it as very appropriate for office use since it’s not intrusive. The trail is moderate, and longevity lasts about 8 hours.

  • A refreshing fragrance where there are no marine notes, a masculine and pleasant aroma. You can get it at a good price; I bought it in Canada at a pharmacy for about $20 for 50ml. It’s the most multi-purpose fragrance that exists; it adapts, blends in, harmonizes with the environment without losing its masculinity. I remember I had it because Fahrenheit was running low; besides, using Fahrenheit in the middle of summer in Vancouver wasn’t very optimal. Beautiful fragrance, simple, multi-purpose, perfect gift for a friend you appreciate, due to its low cost and high performance, both in terms of longevity on skin. My rating, 7.5/10.

  • I don’t like it; I feel it’s very aromatic, and I sense pepper even though there isn’t any. But tastes vary, I suppose there are men’s perfumes with more going on.

  • A very distinct lavender opening, refreshed by the most citrusy bergamota I’ve ever smelled. After about 30 minutes, you get the geranium and woods, followed by very sweet vanilla accentuated by amber and rounded off by a subtle musk… a very correct, clean perfume that could perfectly fall into the fougère category.

  • My partner loves it; I never liked it when I used it a little while ago. He asked me to gift it to her, I smelled it again, and definitely not for me—it’s too spicy for my taste. Since I suffer from migraines, I immediately felt a headache 😢.

  • Looking to return to classics, I stumbled upon Burberry for Men, and it seems to keep its original essence: very masculine, fresh and citrusy at first, then woody, finishing with its soft, spicy sweetness. In short, an elegant and timeless fragrance; it remains a ‘gem.’ It reminded me a lot of Herrera for Men, but the original one, since the reformulation of that last one leaves much to be desired. Burberry for Men, 100% recommended.

In my opinion, this men’s fragrance is the best Burberry currently produces: it’s sweet but not cloying, not intrusive, very masculine and refreshing, with great longevity and a soft yet noticeable trail. I consider it highly recommended.

  • It’s a spectacular perfume. In fact, D&G Pour Homme shares similar base components; I think one of them inspired the other, maybe Burberry inspired Dolce & Gabbana. It’s really good, lasts a long time, and isn’t overly sweet. It’s in the same vein as Eternity and Paco Rabanne XS.

A version inspired by Chanel Egoiste Platinum. Elegant, with a strong masculine character, perfect for dads. Personally, I just love these ‘shaving foam’ scents.

  • I bought it again after more than 15 years, and it brought back memories of those late-night pub outings since it was my first perfume (not my dad’s) for going out, along with Ultraviolet. I love the scent, but it doesn’t last long on my skin. Edit: After using it for a while, I noticed something interesting. Years ago, when I used it, the box was a strong reddish-pink, the cap was oval with horizontal lines on the bottom, and it said ‘Made in France.’ This one I bought comes in a dark burgundy box, the cap is different—not oval and without lines—and it says ‘Made in Germany.’ It’s been so long since I used it that my impression might be off; it seems to last less on my skin than it did years ago, but I can’t be sure. Does anyone know if it was reformulated during this time? Or is it made by a different house? Just curious, though I’m very happy with the perfume and found it at a fantastic price. I still like it as much as before… and I’m using it more every day!

  • A very pleasant classic, with a profile similar to Boss Bottled or D&G Pour Homme. Lots of wood, lavender, mint, amber, and florals… the amber gives it that spicy touch that some people can’t stand. More for those over 30, not for 18-year-olds. Now the classic comes in a Bordeaux red box, made in France, but the updated version arrives in a brown coffee-colored box with fabric-like details and a barcode, labeled made in Germany, with a silver cylindrical cap instead of the old ribbed, half-conical bottle. I’m not sure if it’s reformulated or smells the same, but I’ll find out and update my review.

  • Not for everyone, surely. Those British vibrations of sophistication and aristocracy are everywhere. The scent starts very strong—a burst of spices that fade quickly. The initial notes can be off-putting. Then a sweetness mixed with a certain acidity kicks in. The woody notes appear as it settles. It’s very well balanced, neither too sweet nor fresh; you just feel pleasant vibrations. Best for those over 35. Longevity is easily around six hours. The scent lingers on clothes forever, even after washing. Projection is skin-close with good sillage for the first hour. Ideal for the office. I recommend it to anyone seeking quality and sophistication, those who do business, hate mass-market scents, want to stand out, and wish to be a proper English gentleman.

Old-school British elegance! A fragrance with classic old-world touches where masculinity and class go hand in hand. Lavender takes the lead in the opening, giving that classic, clean vibe along with a dry, citrusy bergamot and a herbal hint of thyme. As it dries down, amber and musk become more prominent, with very elegant powdery notes that last until the very end. Then the woods add a masculine, imposing impression, while oakmoss brings in that earthy, damp quality. In my opinion, it’s perfect for night and winter, best for those over 30. Longevity: 6-7 hours on skin, with about 2.5 hours of projection.

  • I love the harmony of the mint here. I’m the one who restocks it for my partner when he runs out 🙂 It’s a solid, well-made fragrance. The scent is refreshing but not too casual—I don’t see it for the gym. It has depth, surely from the woods. For me as a woman, it feels enveloping and sweet without falling into today’s commercial trends. It’s a more elegant aroma that suits whoever wears it. Addictive. A man in his 30s with this scent exudes confidence and an urge to get closer.

  • Batch 2009, love at first sniff 😍. A proper modern fougère: versatile, elegant, honest, sophisticated, and relaxed. Signature scent. Is it worth the price? Absolutely, it’s too much quality for $25 (almost a steal). Blind buy? Be careful: if you like classics, the answer is a resounding yes; otherwise, test it first. P.S.: Are there fragrances that Michel Almairac can’t make well?

  • Nice scent, elegant and masculine to my taste. Woody notes with a subtly sweet finish. But beware, friends: this doesn’t last 20 minutes on my skin; generously speaking, 15 minutes might be closer to reality. Maybe it’s olfactory fatigue… For me, it’s not worth buying today, but previous generations must have been exquisite fragrances.

  • Alexlopeza21

Intense burst of lavender and mint, but it fades to skin-level scent within minutes. Becomes woody, like a forest, with no sillage and poor longevity.

  • Carcanuelo

Signature jewel: incredible scent and unbeatable price. A must-have in my collection. English style, semi-formal to formal, versatile for all seasons. Delicious mint and lavender notes, a slightly sweet base without being cloying, and sandalwood adds an otherworldly creaminess. Performance is fair: projects 2-3 hours at arm’s length and lasts 5-6 hours, but reaplicating doesn’t hurt given the price. It doesn’t invade anyone’s space, no one complains, and almost everyone likes it. No crazy complexities, but the scent is so delicious it’s addictive.

  • A perfect example of how well brands take care of their classics. Often we complain about discontinuations, but if we think about it, it’s actually fair; at least they don’t let these quantities of mummified, useless, unserviceable perfumes wander the earth. And we’re not talking about 50s Guerlain or Caron lotions, no, this isn’t even 30 years since its launch. The first Carolina Herrera, Le Male, 212, Acqua di Gio… what’s the point of supposedly keeping alive perfumes that were young twenty years ago if they don’t smell like anything later? I understand that people today in their twenties might not be interested, beyond some cultivated young man eager to explore. Fine, for them their current vanilla green crosses… but what’s the moral in selling perfumes filled with water? Because that’s what happens with this Burberry and the ones I cited earlier. They aren’t capped, they are, but many don’t last even twenty-five minutes. Useless perfumes. It would be better if they stopped producing them. What they sell today as Burberry Men has little recommendation; why? The true Burberry Men, of which I have some vials and have recently been reminiscing about, was a put-together and simple perfume. It cuts the super sporty early nineties and isn’t quite as modern as the crystal waters of the late nineties. A sweet chlorophyll current muddies the blend of geranium, bergamot, and lavender, to avoid turning it into another of the father-perfumes that preceded it. From the blend emerge spicy tinklings of something that could be tobacco-bergamot or tobacco-bergamot. In the base, how not, a huge amount of rough musk, which along with the citrus and woods positions it as a formal fragrance, for good and simple guys, but with the typical cold mint touch of the nineties and a hint of talc-like vanilla in the background. A classic perfume adapted to the times. You could use it, your father could use it, and his son could use it too. Neat, clean, and sensual if you understand that a wool sweater can be sensual too. And that’s about it. Was it a bomb? No. Was it bad? Not at all. Simply a fragrance for those who don’t want to heat their brains with outrageous stories. Exactly what Burberry always was. Not even in its first batches was it a thunderous perfume, moreover, in the very nature of the composition, aromatic woody spicy, longevity is not precisely its virtue. But when they launched it, it had a certain spring inside its calm and whispering nature. Nuances, packaging, body… what they sell today is simply water seasoned with two drops of perfume. As for the typical stories about FIFA, UEFA, and their mother on a motorcycle to justify what they do today with classic perfumes, selling water in glass bottles, excuse me, but go try to fool your grandmother. They do it because they feel like it.

I didn’t expect this when I bought the 30ml bottle… but I’m going for the 100ml. While you shouldn’t expect a groundbreaking scent or anything of the sort, the fragrance is very well constructed with a very balanced performance. And despite being something that will certainly generate compliments today, it’s a type of fragrance that isn’t as massified because trends are sweet and ‘ambroxous’, so it’s flying off the shelves to become my signature work perfume (8/10).

  • This perfume is 28 years old and still holds up over time as if it were launched just a month ago. This makes me think of two things: first, that truly good things are always good. And second, how mediocre modern commercial fragrances are. I’m talking about the 2022 batch. Burberry Men is a wonderful work by Michel Almairac, refreshing and elegant, more for spring and summer, and much less versatile than I’ve read elsewhere. It doesn’t have much body for evening wear, despite being noticeable for hours, and doesn’t show off all its virtues on cold winter days. The mint note is there and noticeable. If you like that, try it. I was surprised by its longevity. After reading catastrophic comments about it, I expected mineral water in a perfume bottle. And it’s not the case; it lasts its 5-6 hours and 2-3 hours of projection, not bad for a fresh perfume that, if I’m not mistaken, has been reformulated to boredom. It has held up well; the current version is still worth it. 15€/50ml, I can’t ask for more. It gives a sense of cleanliness, those perfumes that are a joy to wear with a white shirt on a sunny spring afternoon. Fantastic for working in enclosed spaces; it’s impossible for it to bother or be disliked. It has that 90s imprint of ethereal, fresh, and clean perfumes like Egoiste Platinum (which it resembles in its dry-down), perfumes that always had that air of sophistication without pretension and honest, noble masculinity, without needing to dominate or step on others. From start to finish, Burberry is worthy of an English gentleman.

  • Everything about this fragrance has probably already been said in previous comments, but I want to add that there is a catalog fragrance from L’Bel Bleu Intense that FOR ME and I hope no one takes offense, is practically identical, and I consider the L’Bel version better in projection and longevity, and it can be found for around $14.

  • Pablo_88

Don’t ask me why, but if I were to smell 1000 perfumes and then be asked: of all of them, which one would fit best with the classic English man dressed in his tweed blazer and a Barbour jacket, on an autumn or winter morning or afternoon? Have no doubt that I would always choose this one, fail-safe. It smells great and is different from everything else. Not one of my absolute favorites, I still like it; it conveys elegance and savoir-faire, perfect for a mature man who always dresses well. I don’t see it for summer, though it’s not heavy.

  • I owned this fragrance and I must say it’s a tremendous gem. One of those that nobody values anymore, as modern marketing and current tastes have shamelessly pushed out pure fragrances without love or personality. NOTE: I do like many current fragrances, including typical ones like Invictus, Dylan Blue, EDP, Sauvage, 1 Million, Lucky, etc., but it’s important to emphasize that they have left the true scent of a sophisticated, exemplary, pure man far behind. Burberry For Men. What a fragrance: green, mentholated, aromatic, mossy, citrusy, woody. To summarize, as I said in the review on my channel GONÉ VALO FRAGANCIAS (you are cordially invited to watch it, hehe), this fragrance is an English man from the 20s going to a barbershop for a good shave. Smells like artisanal shaving foam, with mentholated, aromatic, and green touches ready to impart a purely masculine scent. This is one of those fragrances I’ve noted to buy again YES or YES, because it’s truly a delight to use. If you don’t have a beard, this fragrance will surely make you grow one. Come on, don’t be afraid, my good friend. Longevity: approx. 6 hours. Projection: 2 hours solid, then a personal bubble still perceptible. It’s not a beast mode but is very noticeable. Seasons: All year round, no problem. Summary: Don’t skip this fragrance. At least once in your life you must try it and see that it smells super good. Greetings and blessings to all.

  • I was gifted this perfume treasure for my birthday in August (four months ago), and honestly, I’m obsessed with its elegance and cleanliness. I own dozens of perfumes, and without sounding exaggerated, I prefer this over Tom Ford and Creed. Honestly, I’d never smelled it before they gave it to me, and it was instant love at first sniff. I’m sticking with BURBERRY FOR MEN because BURBERRY FOR MEN stays with me. I absolutely love it!

  • Polydistortion

It’s been over 20 years since I last wore this masterpiece, and I noticed they’ve changed the formula; I remember it used to tickle my nose back in the 90s. It still retains its essence, however, I feel it fades quite quickly, just a few minutes after application.

  • naso_en_ciernes

A hidden gem and/or undervalued classic, less known but clearly cherished by those who have stumbled upon it. I like it because it’s a versatile all-rounder, timeless, and unlike the countless generic citrus daily wearers, it’s a delightful aromatic masculine. It opens herbal and almost fresh, then sweetens perfectly at the right moment. The projection and longevity are excellent, confirming that the commercial perfume industry in the 90s was on its game. It proves that exploring older releases lets you smell great and build a small collection without even dipping into niche territory. It brings a great vibe, leaves a lasting impression, and is definitely worth buying without a second thought. I’d even repurchase it if I ever ran out. Enjoy it.

  • Good, pretty, and cheap. It’s the definition of a summer and spring fragrance, uncomplicated and pleasant. Great for informal and semi-formal occasions. It delivers exactly what it promises. A solid choice that avoids being generic or overused. Perfect for a young adult man. I love wearing it to work; it gives me an energizing vibe right when I leave the house and a warm, comforting dry-down. I absolutely love it. 100% recommended.

  • Oloritos007

Elegance, class, and timeless masculinity. I simply love it. It smells like a clean, well-dressed man, perfect for a dandy. If you’re wearing a cap and sportswear, this isn’t for you. Duration and sillage are decent, good value for money. You can get 100ml for under €40. Totally recommended if you want to escape sweet and boring trends.

  • I enjoyed it at 15 and now at 35 I have even more affection for it; it’s a hit if you want people to tell you that you smell good. The only downside is that it doesn’t last long.

  • Excellent. It smells clean and energizes you the moment you put it on. Recommended for young adults who want to smell good and project a crisp, put-together image. It’s more of a personal bubble than a beast mode scent.

  • A distinguished and sophisticated fragrance, ideal for formal gentlemen who want to make an impression with their scent. It’s refreshing and woody, it will never go out of style. Just remember to apply it well. Cheers.

  • Olisqueando

The perfect scent for a man: masculine, elegant, timeless, and crisp. It’s a gem. Out of my 100+ perfumes, this is definitely one of my favorites.

  • A masterpiece. I just finished a bottle and already have another one. At 50, it works great with that woody base, but a younger guy could wear it too. From my point of view, it’s very masculine.

  • They gave it to me as a gift and I’ve kind of let it sit, but when I wear it, it transports me back to my glorious youth. It smells incredible, it’s timeless, elegant, and everyone loves it at work. It has a good price and always works well in any situation. 8.5/10.

  • Even though it’s marketed as a men’s scent, it’s so soft I wear it in the heat without any issues. It’s timeless, elegant, and refreshing without bothering anyone. It feels youthful and easy to wear, whether to work or a party. It’s a gem that just keeps getting better with time.

  • It’s the perfect autumn scent: rain, leaves, coats, and trench coats. It’s super versatile, works for everything, formal or casual. At first it didn’t convince me, but now I love it for its elegance and restraint. It lasts 4-6 hours in my personal bubble, though I notice I get noseblind and sometimes can’t smell it. It’s not a beast, it’s discreet and meant for close proximity.

  • Daniel Henderson 77

Smells great, nothing annoying. On my skin it fades quickly or I get noseblind to it, so I don’t notice it much after a while. It’s soft, clean, and fresh—perfect for the office because it’s not overpowering. I’m not an expert on notes, but I like it. I’d say the best bet is to try a decant, since it doesn’t last long on my skin.
