I was looking for Paloma Picasso and accidentally bought this whole black bottle, but to my olfactory memory, after all these years, it doesn’t sound different from what I used in the nineties. Now that I also have Cabochard by Gres (the reformulated version with the black ribbon), I’ve realized how similar they are; only this one is much more affordable. They’re those glorious eighties perfumes that were fun to wear, not for the shy, that you either loved or hated, and that screamed ‘here I am.’ Thanks to the fact that they still exist, they give my nose, saturated with the cloying candies that invade us today (and, by the way, I like them, but I need to escape them frequently), some relief. It’s true that the reformulation has lowered the intensity, but at least they last 4 hours on my skin, which is much more than I get from other brands that are even more expensive, so I’m happy to have them.
