Descripción
Burberry Brit for Men by Burberry is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2004, the nose behind this composition is Antoine Maisondieu. The top notes unfold with ginger, cardamom, bergamot, and green mandarin; the heart reveals wild rose, nutmeg, cedar, and spicy notes; while the base settles on tonka bean, gray musk, cedar, oriental woody notes, and patchouli. This perfume has been awarded two prizes: FiFi Award Best National Advertising Campaign / Print 2005 and FiFi Award Fragrance Of The Year Men's Luxe 2005.

Roses surrounded by citrus trees and dusted with talc. A very elegant fragrance, for serious and casual occasions, halfway between formal and informal. Very good.
Excellent! Buenos Aires 2016 Autumn fits perfectly. Spicy, lots of rose, long-lasting, and beautiful.
Excellent unisex fragrance and quite original, I hadn’t smelled anything like it before. I suppose the rose gives it that special touch; I see it as suitable for almost the whole year. Along with London for Men, they are two jewels. The trail and longevity are moderate, leaning weak; in my case, it requires reapplication. Overall rating 8/10.
Don’t waste your money on Burberry Brit for Men; the scent doesn’t feel like it’s for you or your partner. Since you put it on, the essence disappears in 5 minutes. The longevity is terrible. I had it and over-applied it, and still, it wasn’t noticeable. Rating 0 out of 10; I had to give it away and whoever received it also had to give it away for the same reason.
It’s sweet without being cloying. It’s pleasant, but it has a point that makes it somewhat strange and feminine. It has something that reminds me of Christmas, like caramel. It’s interesting.
Perfect sweet fragrance for autumn or winter.
It delivers on the notes: woody floral, smell of woods and flowers. I must say I didn’t like the scent, but the amount of compliments and people coming up to ask what perfume I was wearing was impressive. I still don’t like it, but when I need presence and distinction, I use it without thinking.
I prefer this cologne to the later Rhythm, which replaced it by trying to modernize it until it became a typical scent. The first Brit is a love, very distinct from the market. Launched in 2005, on my skin it smells like strawberry at first, then something stuck and everyday. It evokes England and the modern spirit of the 60s-70s; I feel like a Beatle. It’s an essential in my collection: I like it more in summer but it works for everything. It’s not overwhelming, though it’s hard (and that’s why it’s special). People always ask what I’m wearing; my girlfriend loves it when I put it on, even if it’s not her favorite. I get lots of compliments. It’s not everywhere, it’s hard to find, but I bought it when it was discontinued and it came with a lovely travel bag with a classic Burberry check lining for a great price. Try it, it won’t leave you indifferent.
Burberry Brit is one of my favorites from the house, along with The Beat. I see it as a spicy oriental, not woody. It opens with sweet citrus (mandarin and bergamot) leading into an excellent wild rose. Over time, the rose turns spicy with ginger and nutmeg, plus a hint of cardamom; I don’t notice the woods much. It’s semi-formal, perfect with a shirt and jeans. The trail is moderate to high at first, then softens but remains noticeable. Lasts about 7 to 8 hours.
One of the most disappointing perfumes I’ve ever tried. It doesn’t stand out for anything. The dry-down leaves an old-school, musty elegance on the skin, like an older gentleman from another era. It’s not for young people and it has nothing particular to offer.
Smells like its cousins Brit Rhythm and Intense, but it’s more formal, dry, and serious. The scent is exquisite, though I prefer something less rigid, like Armani or Cartier, for all-day wear.
I ordered it online because I tried it in-store and liked it on my skin, but when it arrived and I tested it more, it definitely smells like baby cologne. My wife and I were expecting twins and wondered if there are designer baby lotions. Although Burberry Brit wasn’t created for that, but to give men a clean scent, the final result is childish. For me to wear it, I don’t think so, but for my kids, it’s perfect. Scent 9 (Childish), 5 (Adult), Longevity 8, Projection 7, Price 9 (Very accessible).
I wouldn’t even use it as a gift. I had Burberry Brit for Men and the scent is barely there; neither the sillage nor the projection are anything. I had to gift it to a friend, he didn’t want it and passed it to his brother-in-law, and he didn’t either. It was sold as a gift… That’s a waste of time. I’m writing this so you don’t buy blindly: try it first and wait a day to see if you like it. I give it 0 out of 10.
Editing my previous review: in the end, I absolutely loved Burberry Brit. It’s summer, it’s 39°C, after a shower, what a refreshing lotion. It has ginger and citrus top notes, with a barely spicy base that evokes freshness and tranquility. It has the same ginger note as Bvlgari BLV, but this one is more formal and versatile. The performance is good, better than Rhythm. I think you need to be over 30 to appreciate it. In the previous one, I said I heard a child, it’s because the dry-down reminds you of talc, but overall it’s a clean and mature sensation. Scent 8, Longevity 8, Sillage 8, Price 10.
I still remember this great fragrance with nostalgia; I had it in 2008. The notes are woody and spicy, the longevity wasn’t bad at all, about 5 hours, and it was noticeable. Every time I wore it, I received compliments. Later, I didn’t buy it again because I couldn’t find it in my city; I don’t know if they still manufacture it, but if you come across it, BUY IT!
If you have the chance, try it out. It’s distinct and very British, something for autumn so you don’t smell like everyone else. It’s almost my signature scent; I’ve received many compliments.
I never really smelled roses in this; I thought it would be like Rhythm, but it’s a different perfume altogether. In my opinion, it’s hard to wear in the heat; I simply didn’t like it. From Burberry, I only know BRIGHT, which is fresh and similar to PR Aqua di Gio, and the original and Intense Rhythm; they are good options with pineapple and sweet notes—not for hot weather but easy to wear with moderation and not intrusive.
It’s a slightly sweet and soft scent, reminiscent of baby cologne. It’s warm, pleasant, and elegant, adding a sensitive touch to one’s personality. As it dries down, it becomes floral and musky, and that combo of ginger, tonka bean, and cardamom is exceptional; the rose integrates perfectly. It doesn’t smell like a retro perfume; it’s very British and conservative.
This is the first one my dad bought for me when I was already older, which makes it super special to me. It smells a bit like baby cologne, but the other notes give it an attractive and elegant touch. When I get married, I’ll wear this or another Burberry if it’s not autumn or winter. Very good fragrances: London, Touch, and Man. The one I liked least for being ‘spicy’ is Beat. Hopefully, they don’t discontinue it. Note: next summer I’ll try Carven Leau Intense; they compare it to this one, and it was created by a perfumer who worked at Burberry.
I tried it and it didn’t work for me. The rose note is very muted and the longevity is poor; the sillage didn’t even do any magic. I ended up gifting it away. I thought it would be sweet based on the reviews, but it smells like a thin, watery rose—it just didn’t work for me. It’s a shame because the price is good. Ideal for people over 30, don’t buy it blindly.
Disappointing due to how short-lived it is; nothing memorable. End of story.
I really like it for summer and rainy autumn. When the rain and that heat mix, they enhance the rose scent, which over time starts to smell like fresh, pleasant Nivea cream. Personally, I’m a heavy sweater, so fragrances barely last on me, but this one does—it projects for about 4 to 5 hours and then stays close to the skin in a very pleasant way. Perfect for rainy days, and the right choice when it’s cold.
Brit isn’t as English as the box, the bottle design, or the name suggest. From the start, it features classic elements like bergamot and tangerine, plus exotic spices. It smells very unusual, but I have to admit, it’s delicious. It has a soft, delicate rose that never dominates; it stays subtle but noticeable until the powdery facet emerges (I love this phase), conveying warm, woody, and oriental sensations. It transforms into a cheerful, versatile, floral, exotic, and cozy all-in-one scent. Gentlemen who can’t handle powdery floral sweetness probably won’t be thrilled, but I think Brit is better constructed and more accessible than many other ‘calorie bombs,’ hitting its best performance as temperatures drop. If you wear it at 30 degrees Celsius or higher, it unfortunately won’t last long on the skin. Surprisingly, this powdery rose, covered in notable nutmeg, is harmonious and surprisingly remains definitively masculine. It’s a scent for snuggling up like in a warm cashmere sweater during the colder months.
This is my second review of a Burberry scent, and this time it’s Brit for Men. Honestly, it didn’t blow me away, but it didn’t bother me either. It’s a balanced blend of rose and spices that gives off a powdery vibe (that’s what I perceive), and unfortunately, I don’t detect the other notes. Its projection and sillage are low; it works best in spring for daytime wear. It lacks the projection and sillage needed for evening use. It suits both formal and casual occasions, fitting in anywhere. As it settles into a skin scent over time, it’s not intrusive. In short, it’s a low-sillage, powdery rose fragrance perfect for daytime, formal, or casual wear.
It’s in the same citrus family as the memorable Bleu de Chanel. I’ve tried to describe the scent better so you can get a clearer idea. There are better fragrances available at the same or lower price points.
Burberry Brit for Men. Launch: 2004. Perfumer: Antoine Maisondieu. I wasn’t familiar with this fragrance; these are my first impressions, and it’s incredible that after so many years on the market, I hadn’t tried it until today. It’s spectacular, clean, and elegant to a point. Citrus opening, spicy, and very floral. Ideal for spring, autumn, work, or school environments, but be aware: the rose stands out a lot with that powdery, iris-like touch. I recommend testing it before buying. For me, it was a great surprise; I expected something simple, and it turned out to be a fragrance I absolutely loved. I will definitely look for the full bottle.
This fragrance is amazing from start to finish. First mistake: it doesn’t smell English. Does anyone know what an Englishman smells like? Just kidding, no offense intended. Let’s get to the important part: despite claims of bergamot and green mandarin, this isn’t a cologne. It has as much citrus as a Page’s sausage—basically none. It smells incredible of soft, sweet rose (not the damn Moschino Toy Boy), with spices, cardamom, nutmeg, tonka bean, and musk. That’s it. Delicious, addictive, and cheap (under $30 for 100ml on Notino). It’s not snobbish mediocrity or a soulless retro clone like much of today’s perfumerie pop, which, with little imagination and inflated prices since the pandemic, has us stuck in a rut. How long does it last? On my skin, 5-6 hours. Ignore the haters who just come to trash it. On me, it projects for 2 hours and sits close to the skin for 4, which is more than enough. If I want it at the 5-hour mark, I reapply, just like I do with 20,000 more expensive and hyped perfumes. If you’re looking for a beast mode scent that smells like grandma from the countryside and lasts over 12 hours, save your money for a Sauvage Elixir and skip this Brit. Versatility? I wear it even for bed, on any date or season. Nobody has ever told me I smell bad, friend. I own over 80 perfumes, and this one has earned me compliments. It puts a better mood than putting on a hat before bed. Cheers.
It reminds me of L’Homme Ultime, though it’s not the same; they share about five or six notes. It’s a profile for a mature person in an office setting, perfect for that vibe. Given the price, it’s a good option for semi-formal or formal occasions. The rose note feels prominent and powdery, unlike the rose in L’Homme Ultime, which smells fresher to my nose.
I bought it blindly on a trip to Buenos Aires in February 2023, thinking it was a Burberry. I sprayed it more than five times to get it close to my skin. While I like the combination of notes, what a disappointment. I wouldn’t buy it again.
What a gem! I’ve had this bottle for ages and fell in love with the scent. I swore my ideal man would smell like this and always looked for it, but I was too shy to wear a men’s perfume myself. Finally, I mustered the courage, and now it’s mine. It feels like a warm hug on cold, rainy days (my favorite). It smells woody with a sensual citrus touch and a sweetness that isn’t cloying—very “huggable.” So happy to have it! Hopefully, they don’t discontinue it; it’s a real treasure 🥂❤️
I loved this fragrance. I was looking for a perfume with rose that didn’t have oud or anything heavy, nor a heavy floral bouquet. I liked Moschino Toy Boy a lot, but the vetiver dry-down (a note I hate) gave me a repulsion and I discarded it. I found this perfume seeing online deals, tried it in a store, and fell in love. I don’t like getting tangled up in poetic conceptualizations, so in summary: it has a friendly citrus opening that fades quickly, in 5-10 minutes, to give way to a very pleasant rose and stays there. It gives me a baby powder sensation, but nothing sharp or annoying. For me, it’s a masculine unisex. I don’t say much about longevity, since I buy perfumes only for the scent (one ends up having so many that in the end they won’t last a lifetime to spend them all).
Although it’s a relatively inexpensive perfume, it smells delicious, like a clean and orderly man. It doesn’t bother at all, but invites you to get close. It has a very pleasant powdery sensation. I feel it fits perfectly for daytime dates. Naturally, it’s not its best season for summer, but it holds up very well in autumn, winter, and spring.
I love this perfume for its simplicity and rich scent. Especially the rose, which is not invasive but very pleasant (don’t expect a realistic, strong rose like in niche). It smells clean and elegant. I apply quite a bit so it’s noticeable, so I have no problem. I use it mostly at the office and it lasts at least 6 hours. I’ve used it in autumn, which I think is the ideal season, on walks in parks where dry leaves and petrichor accompany it very well. I also like using it at home for personal enjoyment. It’s totally unisex and the quality-price ratio is unbeatable.
I’ll be very clear: this is NOT your fragrance if you’re looking for an alpha-male, masculine, aggressive scent that brings compliments, gym power, or makes you stand out and turn heads. This IS your fragrance if you’re looking for a sense of cleanliness, balance, and tranquility in your personal bubble, without much projection. It’s almost only for the wearer (generally, you have to apply a lot for it to show up a bit). Keep in mind it has some feminine sparkles due to the rose touch, but it remains pleasant for both genders. It’s for daily use, for the office, more formal than informal. Yes, it might remind you of baby colognes like Agugú, but it’s all a matter of taste, just like the smell of gasoline. Overall, I give it an 8/10 because I wish it projected and lasted longer without having to apply it like crazy.
It’s a good perfume, smells great, and gives a super clean, sophisticated, and refined vibe thanks to its rose notes. Plus, it’s available at a very reasonable price. Personally, it didn’t hook me because it’s a very unisex and soft scent, like powdery rose. I’m not saying it doesn’t smell good; it’s really good, but I feel it’s perfect for cold climates. To each their own: if you have clean, refined, and unisex tastes, you’ll surely like it.
Burberry Brit For Men is spicy, aromatic, and powdery. Very heavy on tonka bean and a floral rose accord. Normally rose goes with sweet and warm spices, but here it has little sweetness and is more powdery, reminding me of commercial talcs and a bit of Luna Rossa Black due to the tonka bean and musk base. It’s a good option for the office because it’s sober and non-invasive. It suits autumn, winter, and cool spring days, or a night date with a partner. Longevity is good, over 9 hours, but the trail is short, noticeable only very close. It goes unnoticed, people don’t talk much about it, but it’s still in stock. If you find it, I invite you to try it; maybe it’ll be a pleasant surprise or not.
Burberry Brit For Men or For Him (same fragrance). A friend encouraged me to try it. It has that sweet-and-sour taste I like: subtle, not weak, not loud, just what’s necessary. It aims to be a poem of romance without being cheesy, with timidity and a soft, clean fragility. The rose is delicate and caressing, mixing with something dusty, fresh, and slightly sweet, seeking originality but falling short. Misunderstood or ignored, it’s a fragrance that tries and doesn’t quite succeed; it arrives discretely pleasant and that’s about it. Performance is decent, projects, and lasts just enough, but its virtue lies in that attempt to want without fully arriving. Maybe it’s not for everyone, but if you’re looking for something discreet with an introverted personality, it could work. It’s versatile for any time of day, even a woman could wear it; I feel it’s totally unisex. If you don’t like drawing attention or being showy, this is for you. After a few days, it’s not for me. The price is ridiculous. It smells insipid, obsolete, and trivial; it stands out within the common but lacks charm and originality. Scent: 7, Projection: 2 hours, Longevity: 6 hours.
Another attempt to make the modern man seem interesting without effort. Decent bottle, generic name, smells like an autumn 2004 catalog. Does it work? Yes. Is it exciting? Absolutely not. The opening launches lemon, ginger, and cardamom, which sounds good on paper and lasts on skin for five minutes. Then it turns into warm musk with diluted woods, a shy rose asking forgiveness for existing, and an indecisive powdery touch wavering between elegant and clean. It lets itself be carried away, like on a Sunday afternoon. It has that air of a perfume that was fresh in its day and now only survives because it smells “good.” It’s on the tightrope between forgettable and functional. You use it for almost everything, but no one will ask what you’re wearing. And if they do, the honest answer is: “Nothing special.” It’s one of those that doesn’t bother… and that’s why they say nothing. Correct for gifting to in-laws or for the office drawer. The best part is that it doesn’t pretend to be more than it is. The worst part is that that’s pretty little.
A subtle scent with lots of charm. There’s nothing modern that resembles it; it’s timeless and doesn’t smell like an older person’s perfume. The performance is poor; you pay for what you get. Ideal for all year round except extreme heat, perfect for mild days, informal occasions, or just for relaxing at home with your partner. Scent: 7, Projection: 2 hours, Longevity: 5-7 hours on skin.
Classic, fresh, and elegant. The rose and spice notes give it a powdery touch that lasts. Perfumes are like art or music: there are tastes and there are revulsions; perhaps we reflect something of ourselves in them. This is a great example; for me, it’s the personal bubble that accompanies me for more than eight hours. I’m not going to talk about projection (it’s not my priority), but I will say I’ll keep coming back to this gem over and over.
