Weekend for Men by Burberry

The scent is unusual; I don’t recommend buying it blindly.

Ten years ago, this became my first fragrance; my father gifted it to me. I was too small to wear it then, saving it for special occasions, fancy dinners, and the sweet memories of entering adolescence. I wore it a lot between 2021 and 2022. It also brings back memories of my first nights out—pubs, parties, and fairs, which is nice. But nowadays, it feels a bit weak. The performance is decent for such a light scent, but the aroma is a classic citrus with a pleasant sweetness that doesn’t add depth, lacking much substance. The longevity is low; I’m not saying it doesn’t last, but it rarely reaches three hours. I haven’t repurchased it because there are fresher options with more depth, performance, and a modern scent at a better price. Plus, it’s hard to find. I rate it as ‘like’ due to the nostalgia, even though technically it’s not close to excellence. Its goal is spring and summer days, and it’s spectacular on summer nights, almost unbeatable. Is it nostalgia? Who knows.

I wish there was something like this that lasted longer.

Classic vintage aroma, very citrusy with lime, grapefruit, and bergamot, a touch of honey and musk. For hot climates, it will make you feel fresh and clean. If you over-spray, it can be overwhelming to the nose. Average longevity on my skin of 3-4 hours. Recommended for heat, nothing formal, should be in your collection.

This perfume is a hidden gem in perfumery. A perfect composition of various fruits with a honey base that gives it a distinctive touch. Super natural, nothing to envy from many niche brands. Longevity and trail are medium. In summary: 10/10.

I bought it in Argentina with a 40% discount. The scent is pleasant for hot days, but the performance is weak. We know citrus doesn’t last long, but this lasts less than average. I won’t buy it again because I prefer fragrances that project and last longer. Updating a week later: the performance is very poor; after an hour, you can’t even smell it directly. Citrus lasts a short time, we know that, but this one set a record for the shortest longevity.

This fragrance belongs to my father and is rich, fresh, clean, screams summer, and days of relaxation. It has medium durability and projection; I’ve sprayed it on clothes a couple of times and it performs well, turning slightly sweet and tropical on my skin. I consider it unisex and recommend it.

Starts with ivy for about 4 hours, then honey emerges.

I bought a 30ml bottle and sprayed it on; what a pleasant surprise. I’d never smelled anything like it: such a natural lemon scent, and the honey appears after half an hour, exquisite, elegant, and delicious. Great projection; it smells like the Nivea Blue Woman cream but with a citrus twist that makes it masculine. This will be my favorite lotion from now on.

A classic. Released in the 90s and less known compared to the London, Body, Brit, Mr, and My Burberry lines. I find it a delightful citrus with good performance. Very pleasant, easy to wear, daytime, and suitable for semi-formal events. It also works well at the office; it’s not invasive or heavy. Recommended.

It’s not just a citrus scent, nor another summer cologne. It surprised me; it’s very well constructed. Some Burberry fragrances, especially the classics, are making me reevaluate the house’s perfumery side. I’ve always liked Brit, and London is an admirable work centered around tobacco. In this case, I never paid attention to the Weekend line. Upon trying it, a very natural and refreshing lemon explodes, with a sharp bergamot. Soon after, juicy pineapple appears, and the scent becomes more fruity. Everything is very natural, without calone or ambroxan; marvelous! Longevity is very good; it was still noticeable hours later, especially in the heat. It transformed quickly, and along with Eau de Rochas, it’s one of my summer favorites. On top of that, it’s very affordable. A great discovery that will make me continue exploring other fragrances from the house I still haven’t tried. (With the exception of the new Her line, which, honestly, doesn’t catch my attention).

Totally recommended: versatile, fresh, and clean, the main thing in a fragrance (in my opinion). Quality scent that smells natural, not synthetic like many current perfumes with that new plastic smell. It’s not mass-produced, got many compliments, good longevity, and affordable (100ml tester for $14). Go check out non-mass-produced fragrances, I always say this, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I decided to buy it again 10 years later. Its freshness is truly unique, just like its longevity.

It caught me off guard: I thought it would be a generic citrus, but it’s nothing like that. It opens with high-quality, very fresh citrus, then turns green with ivy and you can smell the honey. It’s not complex, it’s fresh for summer but not boring. I loved it. UPDATE: After several months, it’s very original; for me, it’s more of an aromatic green than citrus, with decent longevity of 6-7 hours and good sillage. It first smells of ivy with citrus, but the ivy takes over. Then it turns sweet with the honey, a natural sweetness, nothing synthetic.

As everyone says, perfect for spring and summer. It’s not intrusive, very pleasant, and has its own personality. It’s overflowing with citrus and freshness everywhere.
