A while back, after testing the classic Bonbon by VR on a blotter, I decided to buy it. To my surprise, I made a mistake and ended up with this flanker version instead. Its virtue is that it’s more versatile than the magnificent classic Bonbon, a true gourmand ode that I think is perfect for cold weather. This version strikes a perfect balance between freshness and sweetness, with a trail that’s a bit more discreet but no less enjoyable. For some reason, it reminds me (though they aren’t the same) of another perfume I already own: Dolce & Gabbana’s Pour Femme Intense.
