  1. Tuberose

On my skin, it’s an incredibly rich white floral, yet so subtle it barely projects and I have to lean in to smell it. A shame, because at this price point, it’s not worth it if I don’t enjoy it. As always, give it a try and draw your own conclusions.

  2. darlenerock

Creamy, feminine, and sweet nardos without being cloying. Lasts about 6 hours on skin, though the projection is modest. It’s a great perfume and a safe buy if you love nardos, even if there are cheaper options with similar scents. I bought a set of three travel sizes to test more, and I have to admit: the 10ml of Tubereuse Imperiale won me over. Now I have the empty travel bottle and a 100ml bottle I bought less than a month ago, and I’m already down to 10ml left. Beautiful fragrance. It reminds me a lot of Rouge Malachite, but this feels creamier with more prominent nardos. I love wearing it on hot, humid days; it shines so much. The trail is moderate, but the longevity is beastly. When I use it, I love catching unexpected bursts. It accompanies me subtly in a wonderful way.

Creamy, feminine, and sweet nard without being cloying. Lasts 6 hours but with a weak sillage. If you love nard, it’s a safe buy, though there are cheaper options. I bought a travel set and Tubereuse Imperiale captivated me so much I already have a 100ml bottle. It reminds me of Rouge Malachite but creamier with a stronger nard presence. Perfect for hot, humid days: it shines. The sillage is moderate but the longevity is beastly. I love that it throws unexpected bursts. It accompanies you wonderfully.

Super feminine, versatile, and with great projection. I loved it, bought it as a decant, and now I want the full bottle.

Tubereuse Imperiale is an elegant and refined nard, as its name suggests. These are dense, creamy nards thanks to the ylang-ylang; sweet but balanced. Unlike Velvet Vanilla, which is sticky and borders on sickly, this isn’t heavy at all. It also smells of jasmine, slightly powdery and woody. As it dries down, it becomes sweeter and creamier with vanilla, sandalwood, and benzoin. It’s elegant, sophisticated, and versatile. It transports me to a tropical island. Lasts about 5 hours with medium-low sillage. I love it, but I wouldn’t buy it because there are similar, more affordable scents. My favorite from BDK is Gris Charnel in Extract. I ordered a set of 4 samples from BDK for 15€. Tubereuse is out of stock but they restock. If you like nards, give it a try.

BDK’s Tubereuse Imperiale was a pleasant surprise; it’s not a loud nard. It dominates the composition, but jasmine and ylang-ylang soften it until it feels creamy and silky, with a peach-like fruity note and a woody base. Worth trying for being original, high quality, and having good longevity and projection. I see it as more unisex than others in its category, though with a feminine touch, ideal for temperate climates (can be overwhelming in heat) and for various occasions. Rating: 8/10.

  8. Myosotis

Nard with ylang-ylang, jasmine, and woody notes, though the nard stands out. It’s intense, creamy, sweet, elegant, and modern. It lasts me over seven hours and projects moderately. It’s not for me because I get saturated by sweet nards, but within this category, it’s one of my favorites.
