Autumn Vibes by Maison Martin Margiela is a woody-spicy fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2021, this composition features the olfactory signature of Fanny Bal. The top notes unfold with cardamom, pink pepper, and coriander; the heart reveals nutmeg, carrot seeds, and frankincense; while the base notes anchor the structure with cedar, moss, and balsam fir.

Honestly, it doesn’t smell like wood or autumn to me, if that’s what was intended.
Honestly, it doesn’t smell like wood or autumn to me, if that was what they were trying to achieve.
The blend of notes reminds me of the scent of unburnt dry myrrh: woody, subtly spicy, and fresh earthy thanks to the moss. There’s a smoky element that evokes a bonfire in the woods, with cool touches comforted by a cup of black cardamom tea. To me, it’s rough and dark, yet strangely comforting like a wool coat on a cold day. I find it evocative and unisex. What I love about Maison Margiela Replica perfumes is that they define places and transport us; some do it better, but here the autumn vibes feel real, with a palette of terracotta, reddish, and dark brown tones. The atmospheric experience of Autumn Vibes has convinced me.
It feels like walking through an autumn forest, with dry leaves everywhere. It smells very realistic, with those brick and brown tones I noticed in the other review. It’s a pure unisex scent, and for me, it’s the fragrance that best captures the essence of autumn among all the ones I own. If the longevity and sillage were a bit longer, I’d give it 10.
To me, it definitely feels like walking through an autumn forest full of dry leaves. It’s quite realistic, and like in the previous review, you can sense the terracotta and brown tones. I find it absolutely unisex and, for me, it’s the fragrance that best captures autumn of all the ones I own. If the longevity and sillage were stronger, it would be a 10.
Autumn in a bottle, I love it, my new obsession.
Leaves and more leaves, drying out: it’s total autumn. They told me there was a coconut note in the car, but I didn’t notice it. On my skin, it lasts a long time, 8 hours projecting well, then about 5 hours. After that, there’s a burst sillage. I find it kinder than Santal 33.

Autumn Vibes does remind me of autumn. I love the pepper and cardamom notes; it’s totally unisex. The woody touch makes the olfactory experience very pleasant. On my skin, it lasts quite a bit, about 8 hours projecting well, then about 5 hours of sillage in bursts. I find it kinder than Santal 33.
It smells like wood, like a bonfire; I detect a tobacco scent. It’s pleasant, unisex leaning masculine. I’ll give it a chance.
Smells like wood, like a campfire, with a touch of tobacco. It’s pleasant, unisex with a masculine tint. I’ll give it a chance.
What autumn are they talking about when they say it smells like this? The only autumn thing about it is the bottle color. I say this as someone who loves autumn. Autumn Vibes is disappointing: it doesn’t smell like maple, nutmeg, or moss. It seems like a dupe of Santal 33. Names that don’t match the scent and I’ll never understand, Maison Margiela version: once again.
For those who voted it smells like Santal 33: it has that vibe, but it’s not the same.
I love it; it has a fairly masculine touch. When it dries down, it smells like smoky wood with a hint of nutmeg. Perfect for autumn, to let the sun warm you up outdoors. Worn moderately, it’s not crazy to wear to the office. On me, it smells like a woman in sneakers and a suit, executive but young, empowered as they say these days. Too bad it only suits me in autumn, since in Madrid it’s just a one-week season.

It smells like freshly cut wood. I don’t dislike it, but I’d never buy it. I just feel it’s more masculine.
I think it’s one of the fumes in the Replica collection. The base cedar is strong, but beyond that, it doesn’t seem very inspiring or unique to me. Even the name gives it away.
I couldn’t connect with this scent. It smells too masculine to me. Even though I wear perfumes designed for men, this should be more unisex. Yes, I know perfumes don’t have a gender, but sorry, this is rich but for men. I’d rather gift it to my husband; on him, it truly smells divine.
What a fragrance! The opening is divine. It has Santal 33 vibes but spicier. I see it as totally unisex. I love unique perfumes, and this delivers 100%. I’ll let my husband wear it… let’s see how long the bottle lasts.
I liked it at first. I saw it as powerful, spicy wood with lots of cardamom and carrot seeds, which I adore. But as it dries, those nuances fade, turning into dry cedar—very dry, markedly masculine, and not much more. It ends up smelling like slate chalk. Didn’t really excite me.
Smells like autumn rain: wood, moss (that wet earth effect), and spices. On me, it’s more masculine, though everyone keeps telling me it smells great. My brother, however, got a fresher, woodier, and floral vibe.
I want it now. If I had the money, I’d take it immediately. It felt fresh, citrusy, sharp, spiced, and woody, with a smoky touch. Out of the four Replicas I tried in decants, this is by far my favorite. My boyfriend described it as citrusy, slightly bitter, and sweet.
They nailed it again! It’s autumn in a bottle: falling leaves, incredible sunsets, and the mountains of my state. Even though I live in the desert, this transports me to the hills. Try it on your skin; it evolves with your pH. On me, as it dries, the nutmeg adds a warm sweetness over the woods. It’s like a hug against October’s chill. For an EDT, it lasts about 5 hours—no excess, just a personal cloud I love.
Didn’t really convince me. For that style, I’d stick with the wild boar goose by Monsieur.
