Giungle di Seta is a floral, green, and fresh fragrance. It has a very pleasant floral opening with slight green tones. You can distinguish the peony in a way slightly similar to Bright Crystal, since it also contains some musky accords. The difference is the green tone that seems to be given by the pea, which smells more in its raw form than when cooked. I also thought I detected a slightly aquatic sensation, which together with the floral, green, and musky accord results in a fairly fresh, almost cold fragrance. This fragrance is suitable for daytime and daily use, casual outings, shopping, school, and office work, because it is very pleasant and not at all invasive. It is considered a unisex fragrance, but I perceive it as more feminine-leaning; however, if a man wanted to wear it, he could. As for longevity, it lasted almost 10 hours and left a sillage of only about 10 cm above the skin. If you find it at a discount price, it’s worth it, because it’s easy to like, but at its retail price, it’s something to think about several times.
I dared to buy it, but as a tester and only because it was at a good price, and solely because of the aroma of the pod of new peas freshly cut from the plant; that green aroma when you shell peas has such a particular smell that it fills the kitchen when preparing a salad and is appetizing; aroma of vegetable garden, dew, wet earth in the morning, crunchy green, like it gives you a jolt of wanting to go for a walk through a countryside garden… Then it has an aroma similar to lily of the valley, which must be the peony, and a spicy touch that could be musk; but overall the fragrance is perfect and simple and at the same time a well-made whole. Its duration and projection are stingy, not to say cheap, but I forgive it for managing to recreate that green of the pod of a new pea freshly cut from the plant. At times it reminds me, with due distance, of a Hermès Jardin sur le Toit and something of Jardin le Nil; in fact they share notes. I would recommend it only if you find it at a good price. For this summer 2025 maybe there will be a lot of heat and weird climates.
