  Finally tried it and fell in love with that lemon opening—fresh and not harsh. As it settles, it becomes creamy and warm with caramelized almonds and sandalwood that blend perfectly. On a cold, rainy day, it was a comforting hug without being overwhelming, featuring an integrated rose and a soft cloud for about 3-4 hours. It has a clean aura like a good musk, though I’m surprised it doesn’t actually contain musk. Now I’m complaining about the price: it lasts over 12 hours but fades to skin-level scent quickly. For 130 euros, the projection should last longer. It was hard to find, only online without being able to smell it beforehand, and at that price, I fear they might discontinue it. It’s my first Burberry, and I think it performs like an Eau de Parfum or less. It’s gorgeous, but I feel foolish about the price and projection. It stays well on clothes; I hope it works better in mild weather, not for summer.

Then it turns creamy and warm, highlighting caramelized almonds that aren’t overly sweet, blending perfectly with the sandalwood. On a cold, rainy, windy day, it felt like a comforting hug that wasn’t overwhelming; the rose is seamlessly integrated, and after 3-4 hours, it seems surrounded by a soft yet present cloud with a clean aura. I’m surprised it doesn’t have musk. Now I’m complaining about the outrageous price: it lasts over 12 hours, but drops to skin-level scent quickly and stays there. For nearly 130 euros, the initial projection should last much longer. It’s hard to find, only online without being able to smell it first, and it’s no wonder it’s rare at that price. It’s my first Burberry, and I think this Elixir performs like an Eau de Parfum or even less. It’s a beautiful perfume, but I feel somewhat foolish about the price, and that doesn’t sit well with me. The good thing is it lasts all day on clothes. I hope it works better in mild weather, because I don’t see it for summer.

  Bought it cheap after reading a colleague’s glowing review. The opening is a lemon slap that lasts about half an hour before softening. I love that evolution into a delicate rose and amber; after 3-4 hours, it smells like The One Essence. It has a soft sillage and lasts around 8 hours. Compared to The One Essence, it’s lighter, more floral, and evolves more, though the latter is denser and more addictive. I prefer the Black Elixir, but I’m paying almost 100 euros less than Étoile Blanche, so I’m thrilled. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 6/10, Value 7/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Yes, I’d buy it again.

On my skin, it lasts about half an hour before turning into a delicate rose and amber; over time, the floral fades and the amber takes over, reminding me of The One Essence after 3-4 hours. It has a soft sillage and lasts around 8 hours. Compared to The One Essence, this is lighter, more floral, and evolves better, though the other is denser, warmer, and sweeter. I prefer this Elixir, but the other has an addictive mystery. If I’d paid 130 euros like Étoile Blanche, I’d be more demanding, but since I saved almost 100, I’m thrilled. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 6/10, Value 7/10, Versatility 7.5/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Yes, I’d buy it again.
