Descripción
Virgin Island Water 2007 by Creed is a citrus fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2007, this composition was created by Olivier Creed and Erwin Creed. The top notes unfold a tropical freshness with coconut, lime, white bergamot, and Sicilian mandarin. The heart of the fragrance reveals spices and exotic flowers such as ginger, ylang-ylang, Indian jasmine, and hibiscus. Finally, the base notes land on a warm, woody foundation of white rum, sugarcane, and musk.

The smell of summer. Delicious and evocative aroma. Its weakness is the low longevity and sillage, so it’s a very personal experience. It smells to me like high-quality sunscreen.
I was looking for something fresh for the office and heat, with coconut, and found Virgin Island Water. Reviews say it smells like coconut, which I love, but I don’t perceive it: I only feel strong lemon, bergamot, and maybe ginger. Maybe it doesn’t evolve on my skin. For the price, it’s not worth it; I’ve tried more complex and lasting fragrances in this category; this one disappears after 3 hours. Unisex 100%, scent 6/10, price 4/10, longevity 6/10, overall 6.5. Curious: the Creed seller said the rum is a myth because it doesn’t carry it… hmm.
Beautiful, I love it. I wore it yesterday for an afternoon and I can still smell it today. It opens with a masculine coconut, but then turns into a unisex jewel. The coconut is present all the time, joined by jasmine and orange blossom; so rich, so creamy. It’s a different kind of coconut; although I’m not a huge fan of using it, I give this one a 10. Ideal for spring and autumn, in summer I find it too creamy, I prefer the freshness of chypre scents.
Wonderful. It’s summer in a bottle, it makes me happy. Simple in composition but masterfully achieved: coconut, lime, a touch of rum, notable quality, and good performance for warm climates. Few scents make me this happy. It’s unisex and unlikely to bother anyone. If it weren’t for the price, I’d buy it blind or as a gift. It’s definitely my favorite Creed.
Impressive.
This should cost a maximum of 70 euros, like most perfumes from the house. Even rubbing a lemon peel on it, you’ll get more projection and longevity than this supposed luxury from an overrated brand that fools the gullible.
I was eager to buy it and took the big step: I’m in love. Ideal for spring and summer; it comes out very strong on lemon but within minutes the coconut appears, which dominates. Soft, fresh, and friendly, I didn’t stop smelling my arm all day. The longevity is good, about 9 hours, with a medium sillage, perfect for indoors without bothering anyone. Definitely recommend it.
If you have 250 euros to throw away, go ahead, what a rip-off! I smelled it once with an acquaintance and liked it, but it was out of market waiting for an ingredient. Now that it’s available, I bought it and… original fresh notes, but it doesn’t last even half an hour on skin or clothes. You only smell it when you apply it. Creed, what is this? Feeling like smashing the bottle on the door.
It evolves so much: it starts as an acidic, super refreshing, realistic lime, and ends up as a cocktail of coconut water with rum and lime slices that give an airy, cool touch. The coconut doesn’t smell like synthetic sunscreen, but like real coconut water. It’s semi-sweet, slightly creamy, cool, boozy, and natural. I loved the evolution and the quality of the ingredients; it’s totally evocative. The only downside, as others say, is that it lasts barely 4 hours with a low sillage. Totally unisex and I love it.
Love at first sniff. The blend of coconut, lime, and ginger is a hit: sweet, acidic, and spicy all at once. Cozy yet fresh, everything in perfect harmony. While coconut usually evokes beach and summer, and that tropical name doesn’t help, I think it shines more in other seasons. In summer it can feel a bit repetitive, yet paradoxically it’s very versatile. The performance is mediocre, typical of Creed. I understand the price and the lack of longevity, but that disappointment is constant with the house. My relationship with Virgin Island Water is bittersweet: I think if it were perfect, it would be boring. Those who aren’t comforted simply don’t want to be, don’t they?
Perfect freshness. This perfume makes me want to lie on the beach with a wooden table, enjoying a frozen coconut with rum, a magnificent and balanced combination: coconut water, rum, and lemon. Ufff. Sillage and longevity are uffffff and uffffff, quite impressive. Completely unisex, ideal as a couple’s vacation fragrance for the beach.
I noticed the citrus acidity overshadowing other notes that should have rounded out the scent. I expected a summer cocktail based on the notes, but it smells like biting into a lime. I’ll try it again to see how it dries down; I lost last sample after an hour and didn’t get to see if that unpleasant acidity mellowed. Anyway, I wouldn’t pay more than 100-150 EUR for 100 ml.
Creed VIW smells like summer to me, like a late afternoon at a tropical beach bar sipping a crazy coconut drink; the tables have hibiscus vases blending their scent with the sea breeze, creating a great atmosphere. The citrus and ginger are noticeable and add freshness. Good longevity and sillage.
Simply exquisite.
I find it watery, sweetly balanced, with softly caramelized citrus. The drydown leans toward bleach and camphor notes that are a bit scary, but I love how they blend with the aquatic facets. As it settles, it becomes something cute—a light lemon caramel with lingering pool chlorine vibes that I absolutely adore. It’s a very low-mineralization mineral scent, something I always enjoy. It has a strong vaporwave vibe; it’s bold and not boring. I expected something bland and photorealistic, but no, it’s fake and plastic in the best way possible. The trick of using lemon with hibiscus acidity to neutralize the bleach is old, but here it’s used uniquely.
Mojito at the start and ultra-refreshing lemon slushy at the dry-down with plenty of brown sugar. It’s exactly as I feel it. Even though I don’t like fresh citrus, I would definitely wear this on a very hot day. Longevity and sillage are quite good for a fragrance like this.
Finally, I could test it properly. After Malibu – Party in the Bay, yes, they’re similar at the start. But Creed evolves into something creamier and more refined, while Malibu is citrusy and sharp. I don’t see the point of owning both for summer and vacations. Performance is a bit explosive but lasts about 7 hours, which isn’t bad for this type of scent. In terms of aroma, you can tell the quality; for me, it’s Top 1 alongside Malibu for summer, two absolute bangers.
When I first smelled it, the opening impressed me—that loud, high-quality lime aroma. It didn’t hit me as hard as Royal Oud back then, but now in summer, I’m clear that it’s the best fragrance created for this season and everything it entails. It will be in my lifetime top 10 and Creed’s top 5. A masterpiece.
The opening caught me off guard—it smelled like a Vicks box, which is weird but not annoying. Ten minutes in, the magic explodes: real coconut, lemon foam in an icy drink, and playful ginger that smells like a sea breeze. I feel like I’m floating with constant bursts. I sprayed it at 11 AM and by 4 PM, coming out of work, the scent was still beautiful and I loved it. I went in to buy something and a stranger chased me with that aroma; I thought, ‘That smells incredible,’ and then ‘OMG, it’s me.’ After two hours, it was fresher, like I just got out of the shower. Super smart buy.
Hi, I was expecting more. I wanted strong lime and intense coconut. The opening is the best part, but the dry-down is a disaster: acidic and overpowering, so it’s not for me. It’s more hype than a real perfume. Silver Mountain Water is better, and this doesn’t smell masculine at all, what a disappointment. I think this and Via Cavour 1 were my worst buys.
Rich summer, beach, sun scent. Those who complain about it lasting little on skin, a question: did you buy the original? I have a current batch F, and the longevity isn’t crazy, but it’s not bad either; it’s well above average. Plus, my skin isn’t great at holding onto perfumes.
As for the scent, coconut and green lime dominate. The coconut isn’t dense or tiring; quite the opposite: it’s clean coconut water. Along with the green lime and other notes, it makes it the best tropical fragrance for me. It’s very noticeable, people like it a lot, and it’s the most asked about. It has very good longevity and doesn’t smell synthetic like others I’ve tried; it smells very natural and high-quality.
Second time wearing it, and I have to swallow my words from the comment a month ago. The lime and coconut make an exquisite sweetness; it smells classy. This fragrance lasts; it’s not like they say it doesn’t last at all; I’ve been smelling it constantly. Recommended for people who own several perfumes because this is pure summer. I think not all men would wear it. Greetings, good longevity, rich scent, nothing like it. 9.5 out of 10.
Virgin Island Creed: the one that made me contradict myself the most… At first, it was an absolute rejection. But I didn’t stop there; I wore it for several days, and my surprise was huge: at work, people started complimenting how good I smelled. For real? A fragrance of constant evolution. The opening is disorienting, very sweet from the coconut, then the citrus calms it down. It remains changeable and contrasting: the sweetness and freshness, a bit bitter and acidic, fuse in an unconventional but magnificent way. I won’t lie, on the first sniff, I thought about gifting it. Using it day after day, I learned my first impression was wrong. Maybe I expected total freshness that didn’t arrive, which is why I rejected it. It’s one of the few that manages to evolve a scent from good to much better. It’s not strictly masculine; it’s unisex, women can wear it without issues. Despite the compliments and my recommendation, I admit it’s not for me; I don’t enjoy smelling like that, and it’s not easy; it requires several opportunities to understand its beauty. For hot, sunny days. Generates compliments. Scent: 9. Projection: Good. Longevity: 6h on skin, 8h on clothes.
One of Creed’s most personal fragrances, breaking the brand’s classicism. Apparently fresh but full of nuances: citrus in the opening accompanied by very light, measured coconut water, nothing cloying or dense like sunscreen, but with more weight than a normal citrus. As it dries, it stops being so fresh, and a subtle white floral sweetness gives it body. It doesn’t smell like rum or alcohol, but the citrus/coconut water/sweetness mix evokes a beach bar cocktail, and the musk adds a soapy tone. I emphasize the subtlety of the coconut, a note I usually don’t like. The sweetness gives density without being excessive; maybe it’s not as appropriate in extreme heat despite the name. Great work by the perfumers. Good longevity and moderate projection. Summer and spring are its habitats, but it could work in autumn too. Casual or semi-casual, not for the office due to the vacation vibe, but good for a walk or informal meeting.
The first time I tried it, it didn’t convince me, so I didn’t buy it. Time passed, I saw a deal, and I jumped in thinking I’d have to sell it just to get rid of the memory. Turns out, I really like it, especially the dry-down. I can’t wait to try it this summer. It’s a summery vibe; it seems like the coconut might be overpowering, but no, it has evolution and the dry-down is great. I recommend trying it a few times, especially men, because I thought it might smell feminine, but no, it’s unisex.
Silver Mountain Water is my favorite Creed, always on me, but with this Virgin Island, I see that the ‘water’ name gives me strange vibes. Creed doesn’t take things lightly; except for Aventus, they aren’t mainstream enough to please everyone (and I’m included). Having Silver Mountain Water among my favorites, I tried a decant. The opening was amazing, so refreshing! Citrus and coconut, a wonderful combination elevated to a higher level thanks to Creed’s talent. It’s a beach, summer, chill cocktail-by-the-sea fragrance; it makes me want to go on vacation already. It dries down sweet, but not in a teen-sweet way; it’s subtle and gives body to the volatility. Longevity: about 6h with moderate projection, enough for people to get close subtly. Authentic summer delight. I’ll get the full bottle.
Incredible scent, but the performance leaves something to be desired. I’m a beginner in niche fragrances; I tried Creed Aventus and got bored because of its low performance. I bought a decant of this Virgin Island Water and was pleasantly surprised: it smells amazing, more original and personal, yet not bold. If you like summer scents, you’ll like it. It opens with a very pronounced and pleasant lime that lasts the whole time, blending perfectly with other notes. Then comes a soft coconut, nothing overwhelming, with a sweetness that balances everything. Imagine a cold, creamy piña colada with lots of lime and refreshing coconut water. The performance disappointed me: after 2 hours, it’s just skin scent, very intimate. That’s the downside. Scent 9.5/10, longevity 5h, low projection. It seemed more masculine, though it’s unisex. For ages 20-35.
Simple, discreet, and very pleasant coconut sunscreen aroma. Clear notes: coconut, lemon, and musk. Perfect balance between the warmth of coconut and the freshness of lemon; it’s light and doesn’t weigh you down. If you like the smell of beach tanning lotion, you’ll love this—it’s that scent but more refined and fresh. It doesn’t project much, so it’s not overwhelming; it blends well with skin and clothes. I liked it and recommend it for anyone seeking that tropical coconut touch.
Fresh but with a creamy coconut twist. I agree with the good reviews: it’s a great fragrance, though it smells like mall toilet paper (in a good way), disinfectant, or freshly ironed white t-shirts. That clean scent is what I notice, and even though they didn’t name it exactly, several people mention it smells like a mall. Maybe the weather plays a role; if it’s under 72 degrees, the perception would change. Decent performance, almost good, with solid longevity and projection, but that disinfectant note prevents me from enjoying it 100%.
To the people talking about zero sillage and longevity, let me remind you that this is not Megamare. It happens to all Creeds. To appreciate them you have to spray generously: we’re talking about 10-12 sprays. Then you can analyze the perfume. People expecting 2 shots of VIW to last as long as 2 sprays of Oud Maracuja… Obviously, 99% of mortals hate applying 12 sprays of an Aventus or VIW that costs €300 for the bottle. But if that’s the case, just buy a Cedrat Boise for 80 euros.
A simple scent of excellent quality: a soft, creamy, sexy, and round coconut that goes perfectly for both genders. However, when you want to invest in a really expensive fragrance like Creed, you expect adequate performance for what you pay, beyond the smell and the impeccable presentation. This perfume lasts me at most 4 hours, with medium projection for the first 2 and then it sticks to the skin until it fades. While I’m not asking for beast mode performance for this type of scent, it seems like a joke that they ask you to pay such a fortune if we judge it by its performance, since regarding the smell it’s an absolute delight. If you have the money to enjoy it without hurting your wallet by reapplying every 2 hours, it’s one of the best summer fragrances ever created.
It’s an amazing perfume in every sense… Fresh, with a quite marked but very balanced coconut note. It’s something like a piña colada, but with notes that make it smell masculine; it doesn’t seem unisex to me at all. Ideal for hot days, it feels natural, makes you feel like you’re at the sea. The only thing I’d change is its longevity and sillage, a bit low for its price. I usually use between 10 and 15 sprays. Rating: Scent 10/10, Longevity 6/10, Projection 6/10, Presentation 10/10, Versatility 8/10. Total: 8/10.
Greetings to everyone: Today I had the pleasure of trying this fragrance on skin, a decant!! WOW!!, it smells wonderfully well, no doubt, I love it. It’s pure summer, although I think due to how long it lasts on my skin it feels like an extremely short summer. Maybe for others it lasts long enough to enjoy it.
What more can be said about VIW that hasn’t been said before? I got a partial bottle of a first batch a few months ago, what luck to be able to acquire one… A fragrance summarizable as a sparkling citrus opening, leaving a soft halo of lime accompanied by the coconut accord and a very vibrant white rum. I tried a sample of a 2022 batch, where slight changes are noticeable; I don’t know if it’s due to the maceration time of my bottle or reformulations (probably after almost 20 years on the market). In my opinion, in current batches, the citrus and vanilla notes predominate more than the flowers, coconut, or rum. Personally, I don’t perceive sugar as the protagonist, but rather as part of the sweetness of the other accords. I recently acquired Malibu Party in the Bay by Simone Andreoli: while they follow the same path, they diverge in the early stages. Malibu comes out with an overwhelming, expansive, and loud lime, with a slow dry-down that lets the coconut and, in this case, a much more direct sweet sugar note feel. The biggest difference is that in Creed, the white rum is the clear protagonist. And if VIW has one flaw, it’s precisely what Malibu Party excels at: performance. While VIW’s projection is good, Malibu Party’s is INVASIVE. In longevity, it far surpasses VIW. In summary, comparing them side by side, you notice a much greater roundness and quality in Creed. Conclusion: Acceptable longevity of 7 hours, good projection of 2 meters, a composition that continues to stand out and please, quality in the best Creed style, and the price… well, something had to be wrong.
I’ve tried it many times and worn it several times; what a piece of perfume. For me, one of the best for summer; the scent conveys calm, vacation, being relaxed with a cocktail. It opens with a lime that’s not too sharp, a bit citrusy, and the coconut is there from the start, but it’s not a coconut smell per se, it’s coconut water smell, amazing. As it dries down, the lime and citrus parts drop, leaving more coconut water with the rum and cane sugar, a sweetened cocktail. Problem: ITS LONGEVITY. After 2-3 hours at least on my skin, there’s nothing left. If it happens to you like it does to me and you love it but it doesn’t last, a good alternative is Malibu Party in the Bay; they aren’t the same but they go very much in the same line. Scent: 10/10. Longevity: 3/10h. Projection: 5/10. Versatility: 5/10. (I don’t see it outside of summer).
It smells basically like coconut and lime, with a mojito touch. It’s not a sweet, heavy coconut like Le Beau or similar; it’s a fresh, refreshing coconut, with that typical Creed quality feel, natural-ish, though ‘natural’ is a bit of a stretch. A coconut that calls you closer, not one that makes you back away. It has very acceptable longevity and projection, better than MI or SMW from the same house. It’s a summer jewel, I think it’s great.
Bottled summer: tropical, distinct, sexy, one of the best I’ve ever smelled. Coconut and rum with a zesty, sparkling lime that wraps around that duo. Too bad the performance is weak; there’s already an Arabic copy whose scent is practically identical (Coconut Lagoon by Paris Corner), I just need to check the longevity and the rest.
My friend @adryens nailed the comment literally, not just for this Virgin Island Water, but for all Creed fragrances and the complaints about longevity, which are already getting boring. I subscribe to his words 100% because it’s impossible to put it better: This is not Megamare. EXACTLY!!!!
Such a rich scent, for real. I loved it years ago, and while I didn’t say anything before, you know what? If you have nothing good to say, it’s better to stay silent. But this comment is just to celebrate how well VIW CREED performed, disappointing only in longevity for all the fans. So I found a niche: I bought a decant and I’m already on my way to the bottle. Without a doubt, it surpasses what VIW Creed couldn’t be. This ‘Maraviglia Profumo di Firenze’ does it with more elegance, both in longevity and scent. Leaving it for the DNA fans: Try it and review it. 👍🏻
