Some perfumes are total hits, while others nobody wants. This Aventus flanker is exactly the latter case. The buyer’s confusion and Creed’s poor choice of name are the real culprits. Many fans thought it was an improved remake of the previous Absolu Aventus, but it’s not ‘en absolu’, which is why it got downgraded on Fragrantica for not resembling the original—something the house never intended. The 2023 Absolu was limited and already sold out, but this 2025 version aims to complete the dark side of the line so the Aventus DNA can be worn year-round. This darker sibling concentrates the familiar traits to make them wearable in cooler weather. Is it as versatile as the cologne for daytime or the original for nighttime? I wouldn’t recommend it above 30 degrees. In terms of longevity, it’s comparable to the previous Absolu or Green Irish Tweed: a minimum of 7 hours on skin, projecting to a meter for the first hour before settling into a personal aura. It has a sharp citrus opening with pink pepper and mint (even though mint isn’t listed), followed by a floral phase that bridges into the heart of cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon, reminiscent of geranium, lavender, and rose. The fruity genome is always present, but as it dries down, patchouli and vetiver emerge with touches of vanilla and tonka bean to add personality. There might be a hint of oakmoss in the base, but it’s secondary. It’s versatile for all seasons except extreme heat or intense cold, and suitable for anything except formal situations. It looks more masculine and mature (from age 25) than the cologne or the original. I think they’ve done a much better job here with longevity, note quality, and transitions. So, if the original didn’t suit your skin, you can now enjoy an authentic Aventus without turning to inspired clones. As always, don’t just look at the scores; test niche fragrances on your skin before buying and trust your body, which is the only true judge.
There are perfumes with a great reputation and others with a bad one; this Aventus flanker is exactly the latter case. The confusion stems from the buyer’s misunderstanding and Creed’s poor taste in naming it, making it seem like an improved remake of Absolu 2023, which it isn’t—this is not ‘en absolu’. I managed to get Absolu Aventus last week, and after trying it for several days, I can confirm it feels like an optimized version of the original Absolu Aventus. It keeps that characteristic fruity and spicy DNA, but here the construction is more polished, with a more natural transition in its development. The overall sensation is that the quality is a notch higher and the performance is simply atomic. I won’t describe a well-known scent; I’ll just say that I’m fascinated by this fragrance, it’s addictive, and I’ll recommend it until the end of my days. An ode to elegance and power.
What a bomb of a fragrance! Even though I haven’t gotten it yet, Creed Absolu Aventus is one of the few recent launches worth it for quality and performance. The notes smell incredible and generate total devotion. It keeps the classic DNA but takes it to the next level, boosting it and making it super modern. It’s a superior olfactory experience. For me, it’s amazing and I really want it. Despite there being similar dupes, I’m sure they can’t match the quality, soul, and distinct process of this perfume. A gem that redefines luxury in men’s perfumery. ⚜️ Scent: 10/10 (Incredible devotion, superior to the classic). ⚜️ Longevity: 10/10 ⚜️ Duration: 10-12h (Estimated, matching its potency). ⚜️ Projection: 10/10 (A true bomb). ⚜️ Perfume: The Best in the World ⚜️ Final Score: 10/10 ⚜️
This perfume is an absolute bomb! Even though I don’t have it yet, I feel like Absolu Aventus is one of the few recent Creed launches truly worth it in terms of quality and performance. The quality of its notes is impressive, generating incredible adoration. It keeps the DNA of the classic Aventus but takes it to another level, amplifying it and making it absolutely modern. It’s a superior olfactory experience. For me, it’s incredible, and I really want it. Despite there being dupes that sound similar, I’m convinced they can’t reflect the quality, the soul, and the totally different process that makes up this perfume. A jewel that redefines luxury in men’s perfumery. ⚜️ Scent: 10/10 (Incredible adoration, superior to the classic). ⚜️ Longevity: 10/10 ⚜️ Duration: 10-12h (Estimated, matching its potency). ⚜️ Projection: 10/10 (A true bomb). ⚜️ Perfume: The Best in the World ⚜️ Final Score: 10/10 ⚜️
What a perfume… Perfect for any occasion. It’s not the dark and dense scent I expected; instead, it’s wearable daily as a signature without issues. Smells masculine and simple. Compared to the Supremacy Collector Edition, this wins by a landslide—the Afnan smells bad next to it. It’s a slightly darker and denser Aventus, fantastic and almost redundant if you already own the original since they’re very similar. The classic Aventus is more crystal-clear and transparent, while this one is more “dry,” so to speak. I’m hoping for a Maison Asrar dupe that claims to be 95% close; once I get it, I’ll do a comparison because this ADN is my current addiction, and I want more people to know about it. 10/10, except for the price, I’d melt the bottle in a month. 😫
Oh my god, what a fragrance… Perfect for absolutely everything. I imagined it would be dark and dense, but it’s not. It’s easy to wear daily as a signature scent. It’s masculine and simple. Compared to Supremacy Collector Edition, it’s worlds apart; the Afnan one smells bad next to this. What more can I say? It’s a slightly darker and denser Aventus, fantastic and almost redundant if you already own the classic because they’re so similar. The original is more crystalline and transparent, while this one is more “dry.” I’m waiting for the Maison Asrar dupe, which they say is 95% close; when I get it, I’ll do a comparison because this DNA is my current addiction and I want more people to know about it. 10/10 if not for the price, I’d empty the bottle in a month. 😫
