Oud Zarian by Creed is a sacred ritual. The incense rises like a mystical sigh amidst intense spices and ancestral woods. Tonka bean adds a dark warmth, like a veil of mystery over the skin. A delicious evolution: it starts as a hypnotic fire, turns into a deep chant, and leaves indelible marks. You don’t wear it, you inhabit it. Imposing, seductive, almost lethal. It conquers, enchants, and devours.

Just bought it and it’s already my favorite. This isn’t perfume, it’s instant seduction magic. My mom bought it too because we were both completely hypnotized 😍

I’ll be direct: I’ve been wearing it for 3 days, and the more I use it, the more I like it. It’s a perfume spectacle, of tremendous quality, and my wife loved how it smelled on me. It’s an addictive fragrance with a memorable aroma, a jewel of perfumery that I’m sure will gain popularity over time. From the heart, try it. Even in decant, it’s completely worth it.

  • The opening is Amouage Royal Tobacco, exactly as is, very, very similar. It’s impossible not to think of it. In the dry-down, you notice a rose appearing like the sun between clouds, in small bursts; notes that are there but not very prominent. For me, it’s not a mid-stage note, but closer to the final dry-down. Sincerely, I don’t feel any oud anywhere. If I didn’t have Royal Tobacco, I might have considered it for the evolution, which is always interesting… But honestly, I don’t think so. I’ll stick with what I have. Having both is redundant, despite the final dry-down. By the way, I see many votes saying it doesn’t resemble Royal Tobacco… when the opening is identical, saying it doesn’t resemble it is being a bit of a fanboy.

The opening doesn’t attract me; it’s challenging. But the dry-down is spectacular and addictive.

The opening doesn’t appeal to me; it’s challenging, but the dry-down is spectacular and addictive.

  • Finally tried it, and I have to say it’s very good, even if it’s not my style. At first, it’s a hit of woody licorice—very cool and with personality. Then it fades, leaving that Western oud scent (nothing of stables or bad smells), very woody. It’s the ‘boss’ smell (not the ‘sheikh’ kind), which I think I might like more if I wore it more often; certainly, it’s very masculine and for someone confident. It would clash if you’re not like that. The price is high, but they’re selling the story of oud macerating since the time of Methuselah. If you find it on the grey market at a good price, it’s a great aroma: strong but not unpleasant, mature and present.

  • It’s like if Amouage Royal Tobacco had its resinous base toned down a bit and some citrus notes added. It doesn’t make it more versatile, just less dense. Here, if there is any oud, it’s very hidden and unnoticeable. I recommend getting Royal Tobacco instead: cheaper on the grey market and, personally, more enjoyable.

  • Terrible! Not versatile at all, only for cold weather. After testing it in cold and mild conditions, I’ll give a more concrete review later.

  • What a beast! It’s not a mass-market fragrance, sure, but it never pretended to be. Creed is venturing into Eastern worlds that remind me of the planet’s best brand: Amouage. Here, the line between the two houses has blurred, bringing the UK closer to Oman. The opening is licorice and Eastern spices, super potent, which over time reveals a floral heart with a rose wrapped in woods and incense. The dry-down lasts for hours. It’s like appreciating a fine wine… it’s not for everyone, but its good taste cannot be denied. Personally, I wouldn’t buy it because Amouage has made better and similar things, but it has been a pleasure to try Oud Zarian.

  • I love oud, but this Creed could actually convince me. It smells incredible and is complex; watching the notes unfold is pure pleasure. The licorice is delicious, and best of all, the oud is clean and sits in the background. The issue is versatility: I only see it for cold climates and evening wear, paired with a flawless suit for galas or high-society events. In other situations, you’re going to overdo it and look like a wannabe who doesn’t know what they’re wearing.

  • I agree with the review below: the opening is strong, but the dry-down is 100% quality. I’m a woman who adores feminine perfumes, whether delicate or bold, but smelling this on a man or on myself is an absolute delight—de-li-cia.

  • It’s literally like walking into a spice shop with all the jars open and the scent at full blast; the hardest perfume I’ve ever tried.

  • The opening scares you a lot; it’s very spicy, literally a spice bomb to the face. But once it dries, it’s a delight, something sweet and addictive that makes you forget the strong opening.

  • I’ve smelled it but couldn’t buy it; I don’t have that much money, so I’m accepting one as a gift. Something around 100 ml to last a long time, since it’s a very potent perfume and you don’t need to wear much. A wonderful perfume after it dries; aside from the opening, it’s delicious.

  • I tried it today on paper and it surprised me in many ways, for the worse, because it wasn’t what I expected and the oud isn’t the protagonist. However, I liked the scent; to me, it smells like chocolate, but not the typical Axe chocolate, but a very good cocoa scent. I don’t know if it’s because of the price, but it’s recommended to try it.

  • I tried it today on blotter and was surprised. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I expected; the oud isn’t the star. I liked the scent; it smells like chocolate, but not Axe-brand cheap stuff. It’s a really good cocoa scent. I’m not sure if it’s for me given the price, but it’s recommended to try it.

Hi everyone. I tried this perfume a couple of days ago and I think my impressions are worth sharing. When I put Oud Zarian on my hand, I thought, ‘I’ve smelled this before.’ It reminded me of ‘Royal Tobacco’ by Amouage, one of my favorites. When I tried the Creed version, it reminded me of that Amouage scent, perhaps less sharp at first but very similar in the dry-down, knowing that both have the same nose. For an hour, I kept bringing my hand to my nose to savor it (and I didn’t find any oud, as they claim). After an hour, I found another gem in the dry-down, another from the Omani house and the same creator: ‘Outlands,’ one of Amouage’s new releases. I thought, ‘no way.’ My mind was searching for similarities: amber, vanilla… incredibly rich. It can’t be that the same nose gifted us two perfumes in one. Setting emotions aside, I tried Oud Zarian again, first looking for similarities with Royal Tobacco and then with Outlands. I put the Creed version on one hand and Royal Tobacco on the other, and what a surprise: almost similar. Finally, after an hour, I put Outlands on my arm, and my surprise was that they were 80% alike. The truth is, all three are fantastic perfumes worth trying. Have you tried them?

A very hard and complicated perfume, an intense aroma. It’s not for every nose; you need a lot of personality to wear it. Never buy blind; you must try it first.

  • One of the worst openings I’ve ever smelled. I wanted to take it off immediately. Now, once it dries, it’s a completely different perfume, a wonderful dry-down. But it has the problem of that terrifying opening that lasts between 15 and 30 minutes.

  • When I wear it, I feel like it was pulled from a golden chest hidden for 2,000 years in an Egyptian pyramid. The only issue is that I live in Panama and I can’t handle that in this tropical climate, but I’d wear it if I were somewhere else.

  • When I wear it, I feel like I’ve pulled it from a golden chest hidden in an Egyptian pyramid for 2,000 years. The only issue is I live in Panama 🇵🇦, so wearing it in this tropical climate won’t be easy, but I’ll wear it sometimes.

  • You won’t be able to escape it. Even though I’m not usually a fan of oud, this smells absolutely incredible and doesn’t even smell like oud. The opening is a spicy explosion with licorice that turns sweet. It’s persistent and delicious. For me, it’s a great perfume. It’s pricey, but the quality is supreme. Very masculine, perfect for a winter night.

  • Don’t miss out. I don’t usually like oud, but this smells amazing—it doesn’t smell like oud. It has an explosive spicy opening with a licorice touch that turns sweet. It’s persistent and a delight. For me, it’s a great perfume. Expensive, but supreme quality. Very masculine and better for a winter night.

I absolutely loved it! Since I tried it on my skin, I haven’t stopped thinking about it. Hypnotic, magnetic, shamelessly opulent. If you can handle the opening, which is a slap in the face of spices and resins (by the way, nothing animal), lasting about 30 minutes to an hour, you can enjoy a masterful evolution. This isn’t just a perfume; it’s a spell that kidnaps you and makes you addicted. It should be illegal. It lasts forever. The only downside is its versatility; I live in a hot climate and it would overwhelm me. I see it as unisex, though I know many girls wouldn’t step into this territory; it could be imposing. The blotter smelled great even after a week. A masterpiece. I’m thinking of adding it to my collection to enjoy during the little bit of cold we get. Don’t miss out, it’s worth experiencing.

  • Sorry, it just smells like spicy wood. I don’t see myself wearing it. It’s like a tuxedo: elegant in certain contexts, but in most situations, people will look at you strangely.
