Descripción
Viking Cologne by Creed is an aromatic fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2021, this composition was created by Olivier Creed and Erwin Creed. The top notes unfold with mandarin, lemon, pink pepper, and bergamot; the heart reveals lavender, geranium, rosemary, sage, and nutmeg; while the base notes settle on vetiver, cedar, sandalwood, frankincense, and patchouli.

An insignificant launch, just like Creed’s latest. It’s a soapy aromatic fougère with a barbershop vibe, featuring lavender and herbs, built on a modern ambroxan base that I don’t like. The citrus notes feel synthetic and lack naturalness. It lacks depth, evolution, power, and longevity on my skin. Not much more to say. Moving on.

Creed smells good, but it’s not exclusive: it’s a classic cologne with a sweet mandarin touch, then creamy, ending with incense-like vetiver. The price is the main issue; it doesn’t outshine Guerlain, Chanel, or Rochas, and its longevity is terrible—you have to sniff your own neck after just four hours. No exclusivity or creativity, so no one will notice how expensive it is. Not recommended. Au revoir!
Viking Cologne takes the archetype of aromatic fougères to maximum power, as if you evolved the typical Brut cologne into a Super Saiyan. Smells great and respects every facet of this type of perfume: vivid citrus (mandarin/orange), dense lavender and nutmeg, over a woody and musky base. Personally, it smells rich, has body, performance, and quality, but it’s not original and I don’t think it’s worth the asking price unless you value the ingredients. Knowing there are similar options, I’d choose other Creeds, and I even think its predecessor, Viking, is better and more purposeful. Versatile, masculine, and with good general performance. Recommend trying it only if you want a classic cologne at maximum power; otherwise, go for other Creeds. Note: 7/10.
Viking Cologne takes the fougère genre to the ultimate level, as if Brut were a Super Saiyan. It smells rich, respects the genre with vivid citrus (mandarin/orange), dense lavender and nutmeg over a woody-musky base. It has body and performance, but it’s not original and isn’t worth the price if similar options exist. Better than its predecessor. Versatile, masculine, and well-performing. Try it only if you want a powerful classic cologne; otherwise, choose other Creeds. Rating: 7/10
A rip-off from Creed. Perfume with a correct and pleasant smell, but very scarce performance, almost always skin scent. Pleasant but simple aroma: mandarin, bergamot, cedar… you’ve smelled it a thousand times. This perfume will be overlooked no matter how much four reviewers insist. For that price? A robbery.
An EDP Cologne with a classy Barber Shop vibe: moderate projection and trail, but very pleasant to wear. ☀️👍🏼☀️👍🏼☀️
An EDP Cologne type Barbershop with Class is my definition. Moderate but very pleasant projection and sillage.
Caribbean Villain, my scent signature.
A fresh masculine aroma, mandarin… the classic fresh cologne with a twist. I don’t think it’s worth it for the price, as it’s expensive. There are many perfumes of this style on the market with the same quality for less money. Very poor longevity; after 4 hours, you have to bury your nose in your skin to smell it. Needs reapplication. By the way, it no longer comes with a metal cap but a low-quality plastic one, a detail I didn’t like at all. The same happened with Aventus Cologne. Bought from the official website. My recommendation is to look at other options.
Tested on a 2ml decant. Classic barbershop aroma with a twist. Rich, elegant, and interesting, for people 35 and up. The problem? It lasts a breath and costs a kidney. Everyone decides based on their means. I, until I’m rich, don’t even consider adding it to my collection. P.S.: If I only judge by scent, it’s the most interesting from Creed, smells great, but I don’t feel the need for a noble title to wear it without clashing. Update: I added it to my collection after buying it second-hand at 50%. I reiterate, it smells great, but my skin eats it up.
Tested from a 2ml decant. A classic barber shop aroma, refreshed: rich, elegant, and interesting, aimed at guys 35 and up. The downside: it lasts the blink of an eye and costs a fortune. Everyone decides based on their budget. For me, I won’t add it to my collection until it’s cheaper. PS: If I judge solely on scent, it’s the most interesting Creed I’ve tried; smells amazing, but my skin eats it up. Update: I bought it second-hand at 50% off and added it to my collection. Smells great, but my skin still eats it up.
Tested this afternoon and after the dry-down, I went home. Smells like the classic man, a must-have for lovers of classic masculine scents. Ideal for formal or casual occasions, fitting a good dress code. Bestial performance: 4 sprays on the arm last 6 hours projecting. Update two days later: with 7 sprays on the neck, it was still projecting beast mode at 12:30 AM, and when I woke up at 7 AM, the sillage was still clear. All Creed perfumes perform well, but this was a surprise. If you want performance, give it a good dose; perfumes are bought to be worn.
Tested this afternoon, it’s a classic man’s scent, perfect for lovers of traditional masculine fragrances. Suitable for both formal and casual occasions, it fits a good wardrobe. Beastly performance: 4 sprays on the arm last 6 hours with strong projection. Two days later, after 7 sprays on the neck, I woke up at 7 AM with clear bursts. All my Creeds perform well, but this one is a surprise. If you want performance, go for generous doses; perfumes are bought to be worn.
It’s the classic barbershop scent that gives a familiar olfactory vibe, reminding me of my grandfather’s fragrances, though like all Creed, it feels refined and high-quality. Depending on the moment, the mandarin comes out very crisp. There are better options from the brand, but this is for a mature audience who likes this style. Fresh and masculine aroma that projects and lasts quite a while.
A classic barber shop-style fragrance that feels familiar, like something my grandfather wore, but refined and high-quality like all Creed scents. Depending on the moment, the mandarin is very crisp. There are better options from the brand, but this is for a mature audience who likes this style. Fresh, masculine aroma with good projection and decent longevity.
I love both the Cologne and the EDP (herbal and woody notes). They share that Terre d’Hermès patchouli, very masculine. The longevity is brutal: oakmoss and vetiver for two days, in a modern classic style. It’s fresh, cheerful, bold, and sparkling, but I’d only wear it to work. 7/10.
Smells like a man with character. The opening is fresh with mandarin and lemon, but as it dries down, the sharp rosemary explodes, giving it its identity. It finishes with sandalwood and patchouli. I tested it in a library and thought it was the guy sitting next to me; it turned out to be in my own pocket. Projects well and lasts over 9 hours.
