Creamy scent where the plumeria jumps out immediately, becoming sweeter over time. The vanilla is always there, but it doesn’t dominate; instead, it walks hand in hand with the flowers. I’m still not sure if I’d wear it in spring or summer, but it’s ideal for fall; here, fall is still a bit warm, so it fits perfectly.
The Chant… is a dupe of Gucci’s Private Collection ‘A Chant for the Nymp’… and a very convincing one. Simple box, dusty rose packaging, protective pouch, sober and luxurious bottle with gold lettering, heavy cap that closes perfectly. And the perfume? Simply delicious. From the first moment, it immerses you in tropical, romantic, and warm summer nights at the beach. It opens with an incredibly sweet wave of frangipani and bergamot, accompanied by tiare, gardenias, and ilang-ilang. They don’t declare it, but I suspect roses in the bouquet. There’s a very subtle hint, perhaps of sunscreen. After the first ‘punch’ of frangipani, which is noticeable and projects for hours, it reveals a slightly spiced touch, cinnamon, cardamom, with lots of creaminess and body. And above all, the vanilla—sweet and potent—which blends and balances everything, leaving a very long-lasting trail. It’s not the typical trendy sweet gourmand, but an elegant, refined, empowered, sophisticated sweetness. A totally feminine and delicate perfume for women of any age; I’d use it more in summer or warm seasons, at night. It doesn’t go unnoticed; it’s a floral, but a very special one, totally different from the usual ones.
The dupe for Gucci Privé’s ‘A Chant for the Nymph’… what a great dupe! Dusty pink box, sober and luxurious bottle with gold lettering and a heavy cap that closes well. The perfume is delicious: it immerses you in tropical, romantic beach nights. It opens with a sweet wave of frangipani and bergamot, accented with tiare, gardenias, and ylang-ylang. I sense roses even though they aren’t listed, plus a subtle sunscreen touch. After the initial hit of frangipani, a spicy note of cinnamon and cardamom emerges, all very creamy. Above all, a sweet, potent vanilla ties everything together, leaving a lasting trail. It’s not that trendy sweet gourmand, but rather an elegant, refined, and empowered scent. Totally feminine and delicate, suitable for any age, perfect for summer nights or heat. It doesn’t go unnoticed: it’s a special floral, different from the usual ones.
A bona fide floral, and a different one. I haven’t heard the original, but this smells like creamy flowers with a tropical vibe. I know many people love it, but to me, it seems too intense, even with sharp notes that could offend those who don’t like them. It fills the room, you notice it, and it lasts a long time. I think it could use a fruity note to balance it out. I’d only wear it in moderation outdoors. It’s not for me, although I see it has good quality; it’s feminine and has a ‘clean’ air, but I find the floral too intense; I’m not into this type of scent.
To my nose, it smells very similar to Carolina Herrera 1988.
It’s a full-on floral (and a unique one). I haven’t smelled the original, but this smells like creamy flowers with a tropical vibe. I know many love it, but to me it’s too intense (I even notice sharp notes) and could be offensive to those who don’t enjoy it. It fills a room, you notice it, and it lasts forever. I think it would benefit from a fruity note to balance it. I’d only wear it moderately outdoors. It’s not for me, though I see it has good quality; it’s feminine and has a ‘clean’ air, but I find it too intense a floral—I’m not into that kind of scent.
Floral yellow opening, creamy and round. Tropical? Maybe, but it’s missing a fruity sweetness, which isn’t there. To me, it gives off a sense of cleanliness, without being musky or soapy. For women who know what they’re doing and consciously enjoy frangipani and ylang-ylang. Lasting power is decent, about 5 or 6 hours without issues. I’ll edit this after it has macerated.
A proper yellow floral opening. Creamy and well-rounded. Tropical? Maybe, but I feel it lacks a fruity sweetness that’s missing here. For me, it brings a sense of cleanliness without being musky or soapy. For women who know what they’re doing and consciously enjoy frangipani and ilang-ilang. Lasting power is decent so far, about 5 to 6 hours without issues. I’ll update this after it has macerated.
It’s a yellow floral that reminds me a bit of Givenchy’s Amarige. The blend of yellow flowers with tiare creates a very sophisticated and long-lasting fusion. It doesn’t go unnoticed; it’s extremely elegant. Perfect for summer and spring. Although I didn’t declare it, I do notice hints of amber. Fabulous buy, I recommend it to anyone who loves florals.
