  • Maybe it’s because I don’t own the original or simply because I don’t like the DNA, but that spicy touch doesn’t convince me; I don’t find it pleasant or attractive. While it has good longevity on skin and decent projection for the price ($20), it’s a steal and a marvel for anyone who likes Sauvage. It feels very soapy in the dry down, which is better than the opening, which leaves much to be desired. It’s a good perfume for those who like the DNA, I think. Scent 5/10, Longevity 7/10, Projection 7/10, Price 8/10.

  • EmiWorsnop

Compared to Sauvage EDT, which feels very refined, metallic, and spicy, I find this one more synthetic, citrusy, and soapy. It does resemble it, yes, but if you analyze it closely, you’ll notice they are very different.

  • EvoK Fragancias

A rich fragrance. Although no perfume has managed to clone Sauvage EDT exactly, this Maison Alhambra does it exceptionally well. Earthy, aromatic, anise, lavender, pepper… A treasure of a fragrance. Almost beast-mode performance.

I owned it. I bought it along with the other two Salvo versions, Intense and Elixir. The purchase was around 50 euros for all three bottles. I bought them to get the olfactory experience of getting close to the originals. The experience turned out valuable, even positive, to the point that, shortly after, I ended up buying the Sauvage EDT, EDP, and Elixir, plus a mini of the Parfum. I must be emphatic: while these Salvo Intense, EDP, and Elixir versions correctly imitate the scents they copy, there are obvious differences: none achieves 100% of the same aromas they try to plagiarize. None has the aromatic quality of the three scents they attempt to reproduce; these fakes are noticeable from the opening until they fade, feeling lower quality. This is mainly noticeable in three notes: in the Salvo EDP and Intense versions, the lavender and bergamot are extremely synthetic and alcoholic. In the Salvo Elixir version, the vanilla evokes an extremely synthetic vanilla essence, the kind used in baking. Versus the Sauvage Elixir, where the vanilla is a creamy, lactonic delight, soft but present and very natural. Regarding performance, they don’t even compete with Dior’s in the slightest. None of them. In summary, these ‘Salvo’ fragrances are cheap perfumes that smell like cheap perfume. But they turn out to be a good opportunity to get a superficial introduction to the original Dior line’s aromas.

  • When I first bought it, it didn’t last, but after a month it started lasting and projecting well. I love this DNA; it’s very versatile and pleasant to the nose.

  • Josué González Céspedes

Amazing fragrance, the best Dior Sauvage EDT dupe; buy it blind without a doubt.

  • Jaime Ramírez

Definitely buy Armaf’s Window Pour Homme; it’s almost identical to Sauvage EDT and feels high-quality; in fact, it lasts much longer on skin and projects more than the original.

  • Comunidad Organizada

Oh my god, what a gem! First off, it’s the Dior Parfum dupe, so that opening mandarin note instantly clears up any doubts. Excellent fragrance at a super accessible price, about 90% similar to the original with beastly performance nowadays: 7-8 hours on skin, moderate projection for 2 hours (a true 4×4). Buy it if you love the Sauvage DNA without hesitation; it’s insane, incredibly hyped-free, and you have to take advantage of it!

  • everardo_guerrero

I’m not trying to be harsh on the fragrance, but honestly, over time it has become so unpleasant to me. It’s about 80% similar to Sauvage, but keep in mind that the opening is very sharp, very citrusy but ‘acidic’ to the nose. It reminds me of a mix of scents: a product my mother used as a degreaser to clean the stove and a dishwasher soap. The dry down is where it resembles Sauvage the most, reaching about 90%. I bought it and my initial reaction wasn’t bad; it was only when I decided to use it again that it became unpleasant. So far, my best choice for a Sauvage dupe would be Armaf’s Window, although I haven’t tried Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir yet to make a final decision.

  • Just to clarify, I haven’t tried the original Sauvage, so I’m reviewing this as if it were an independent perfume. I find it odd, like a constant mix of things with a strange scent; I guess it’s the ambroxan. Honestly, I can’t convince myself that I like it; it smells like soap with spices. If you like this style, you’ll love it, but it’s not really my thing. I paid about $12 and it’s a great deal. It doesn’t last too long, but it’s not a dealbreaker given how cheap it is: lasts about 5 hours and projects super strong for the first hour. It’s quite clean and soft, not annoying, though the opening is very sharp and can be overwhelming. It’s clean soap with some spices, and the ambroxan is noticeable. There’s a hint of vanilla at the base, but it’s subtle. I don’t find it youthful; I think there are better options from the same house. It’s a good option only for those who like this type of aroma; if not, don’t bother trying it. Personally, I don’t find the smell horrible or bad, just not my style, though you might get used to it over time. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 6/10, Price 10/10, Versatility 8/10.

  • Damn 😂 I’m sad about this perfume. I really like the smell because it’s like Sauvage, just less strident and less clean. However, when I wear Sauvage, my sister says it smells like an Alpha Male, but with this one she told me it smells weird, like an old man with woodsy notes 😂😂. I can’t tell you the laughter and sadness it gave me; it really brought me down, and I don’t even want to use it anymore, although the good news is I’m finishing the bottle. I like the scent, but after that, I don’t think I’ll buy it again; it was my alternative to Sauvage 😞

  • Here’s a super short review: perfumes smell different from nose to nose, so smelling them yourself is key. Salvo EDP and Sauvage EDT smell exactly the same in the opening and dry down. Although the DNA alone doesn’t kill me, this dupe is so well-made that honestly, it’s not worth buying the original, especially if you’re on a tight budget. Although the longevity isn’t the same, I don’t care much if it lasts 5-6 hours if the scent is worth it. Super versatile.

  • lalotafoya

Sauvage with a much sharper and more intense citrus note. Atomize Sauvage on one wrist and Salvo on the other, and there’s no way to justify paying $150 in Mexico for the Dior version when you have this more intense and punchy version for $20. It’s worth way more than you pay, and you get that versatile, fresh DNA that girls love.

  • molletmod.73

A shameless, third-rate, flea-market-quality knockoff of the famous Dior Sauvage, released by a copycat sub-brand. This Salvo isn’t redundant; today it’s a scent heard more often than the urine of living beings, more cloned than Creed Aventus, and more ubiquitous than human stupidity. They copy even the bottles, and yet there are still glib reviewers giving credibility to things like this.

  • Kris Corvett

Spectacular low-cost perfume with great longevity. For the price and aromatic quality, I wouldn’t spend twelve times more on the original. A must-buy if you like the Sauvage DNA, buy blind, and it’s a spectacular gift. A 10/10.

  • It’s incredible that they demand the quality of $150-200 perfumes from a $20 one. Of course, it doesn’t have the same aromatic quality as Dior, but for rotating scents or daily use, it’s a beast. If you have 60 designer perfumes, this will seem like just another clone to you, but for not spending too much, it’s a steal. Note after 2 months: The opening isn’t as sharp anymore; it smells softer and more balanced. I see it as ideal for spring-summer daytime wear.

  • Cazaputas42

I bought it for the Sauvage DNA, and it’s very well made, although a pro perfumer would notice small differences. If you’re looking for something for daily use, don’t even hesitate. It’s perfect for everyday wear.

  • To sum up, as everyone says, it’s very similar to Sauvage at a very economical price.

  • For the price and what it offers, this is more than a decent perfume. It lasts well and doesn’t smell artificial. Obviously, it’s not a 1:1 with Dior, but it costs 5 or 6 times less and is perfect for daily wear. I paid $13 and I’m satisfied.

  • carlos_reyes

I tried several Sauvage clones, and this one is undoubtedly the closest, even if it’s not an exact copy or matches Dior’s quality. At $15-20, it beats cheap imitations like Zara’s. It has the Sauvage DNA but with a different, pleasant citrus top note, and a base of ambroxan, vanilla, and lavender that’s enchanting. ⌚Longevity: About 6 hours, which is great for the price, though it fades to nothing on my skin by the seventh hour. 💨Projection: Not a beast mode; noticeable at a meter, but anyone closer will smell it. 🍃Sillage: Moderate, max 50 cm. 😉Goes well with: Yes, it’s attractive and people will definitely ask what you’re wearing. Worth it if you want that popular scent without spending extra. I’ve had it for a month and haven’t noticed any changes since opening it, but it might improve with more time.

  • Guille2008

Well, with Salvo around, I don’t see the need to buy Sauvage, at least in my case. Ideal for daily use, very well crafted and balanced, with a fragrance that lasts and projects. Elegant and noticeable, highly recommended, and among Maison’s offerings, it’s the best quality I’ve tried.

  • Excellent, very similar to Sauvage EDT, fresh, cheap, with a clean scent. If I were starting my collection from scratch, I wouldn’t hesitate to have this for everyday wear.

  • If you haven’t tried Sauvage, let me tell you this Salvo is rich, fresh, a bit powdery, and suitable for any occasion. It didn’t bring me compliments, but everyone who smelled it liked it. It’s not for smelling different, but it doesn’t look bad in any situation; it smells clean like freshly ironed clothes. It feels like an expensive perfume; I’d say it resembles Antonio Banderas’ The Icon a bit, but this one is more refined.

  • It feels closer to the Parfum version, with a tangerine opening. Very similar to that metallic and sweet scent, with very orangey citrus notes like segments. It projects well for the first 3 hours, you can’t help but notice it. Then it settles to skin scent, just like the original, so as a budget option to test if it suits your skin, it’s a good buy. Edit: It lasted much longer; people stopped noticing it, but at 7 hours, they told me they could still smell it strongly, so it has a trail.

  • Say what you want, Sauvage appeals to most people, and that’s what you’re looking for. Salvo is a more toned-down intensity, lower quality, but I’d say more versatile. Pleasant and clean, women like it quite a bit. I don’t know why so many people hate the last part; personally, I use everything without complexes. I recommend it if you don’t mind smelling like everyone else and want something versatile. Scent 5/10, I like it but it’s not new or complex. Longevity 8/10, what you’d expect from an EDP, 6-7 hours. Projection and trail 8/10, I prefer it over the original in this aspect.

  • Mariano G Blanco

I must confess that at first, it didn’t grab me. I used it a couple of times and it just wasn’t for me, so I put it away and almost forgot about it for a month. But something curious happened: when I returned to it, it seemed to have matured in silence. That fresh, clean, carefree aroma, almost like a cousin of Sauvage EDT, finally started to make sense. For the price, I think it deserves a chance.

  • A decent option for everyday wear with an absurd price (100ml for €17), but don’t expect performance on par with Sauvage. I notice it’s weak. It does the job, so I’d recommend buying it at least to get used to the DNA.

  • Wow, I was blown away when I got it via a swap! It has that familiar Sauvage EDP vibe I already knew, and the essence is captured really well. It doesn’t smell synthetic, though the projection is a bit weak and I’m still testing the longevity. It’s super versatile, maybe not for days over 30°C, but at 26°C it’s fantastic. A great experience, 8/10. Edit: After a month, it became my signature scent with endless compliments and great longevity. It doesn’t bother me at all. 10/10 absolute and more for the price, buy it now.

  • I bought it based on the reviews and I think it’s the worst perfume I’ve ever tried. It just smells like lavender and that initial citrus, which is too acidic and tickles my nose. I even tried using it as a sofa deodorant, but my wife hates it even more than I do.

  • Smells too much like Sauvage, but the vanilla base lacks creaminess and depth, leaving it flat with no evolution. If you’re sensitive, 3 or 4 sprays are enough; more will tire your nose and feel uncomfortable. Not ideal for the office since it overwhelms the room; better for outdoor dates where people come closer to you. 8/10.

  • Forget this pretentious review that misses the truth. It’s like saying Leo Messi doesn’t deserve the Ballon d’Or. Yes, Salvo resembles it and A LOT. It’s a literal shot-for-shot match in look and smell. Of all the clones, this is the closest to the original, even more wearable and fresh. It’s not overloaded with ambroxan or as salty/dense as Dior. Although I don’t detect the declared vanilla, I feel the ambroxan supported by lavender giving it character. It’s not natural; it’s synthetic, just like Sauvage. We’re enthusiasts, and we know it’s not niche or the blood of Vlad Tepes’ victims in a hut. At this point, the best is to find affordable options, and this is the best. It will be a recurring purchase.

  • Perfect clone, practically copying a fragrance for any occasion and season (if you manage the sprays well). Performance close to the original (very high) and an absurd price. That’s the summary. Of the three Salvos, this is the most accomplished, the one that best replicates Sauvage EDT. The Intense isn’t as well-executed, and the Elixir lacks depth. I’m not saying the others aren’t worth it for the price, but this is better. Personally, I don’t like the DNA of Sauvage’s flankers, but if I had to blindly recommend a perfume to an unknown man, without knowing his age, personality, weather, or budget, I’d tell him to go straight for this Salvo EDP. Scent: 7.5, Projection: 8.5, Longevity: 8.

  • Horrible opening like window cleaner, quickly transitions to soapy lavender with an anise touch. Lasts 5 hours before settling into ambroxan with a subtle vanilla, very pleasant. Eventually fades away as if you never wore it. After 5 months: softer opening, less sharp but alcohol is still present. Lavender is less soapy, pepper comes through, and combined with ambroxan gives a metallic note. I preferred the soapy version, but it’s not as suffocating as Club de Nuit. Still feels like anise and a barbershop vibe. Surprisingly long-lasting and projective. I sprayed it at 10 AM and a coworker noticed me outdoors by 5 PM. The vanilla fades a bit but is still there. It’s a beast, unbeatable for the price. Flaws: very linear and synthetic, but incredible for what it delivers. Be careful with overspray; it blinds your nose easily. 4 or 5 sprays are perfect. Surprising that people call it “fuckboy”; to me, it smells mature, almost 30+. Very versatile, though I wouldn’t wear it alone in extreme heat (35°C) because the metallic note becomes suffocating. Otherwise, it works for everything.

  • Enrique1991

The best Sauvage EDT clone. Salvo is almost identical to Dior, with great longevity on skin and clothes. You can’t ask for more at this price. Forget other options like Urban Elixir; this is the one you want if you’re looking for the exact DNA of Sauvage EDT.

  • Fresh and masculine, perfect for everyday wear. It leans more toward the EDT than the EDP. For the price, it’s more than good. Edit: A week later, it still projects massively and lingers on clothes. Awesome.

  • Smells exactly like Armaf Magnificent Blue, which is a dupe of Sauvage Very Cool. I wear it on both hands, and once it dries down, there’s no difference—they’re twins. The best part is I got this one for $17. If you already own one, don’t waste money on the other since they’re the same scent in different bottles.

  • Maximum versatility! If Sauvage were a car, this would be a 1998 Toyota Hilux: rugged, no frills, and ready to go. It’s almost identical; you won’t notice the difference. Great for work? Yes. Casual outings? Definitely. A date? Absolutely! It’s for everything. Like that friend who waits to play but crushes it when they do. My girlfriend asks for it constantly, and it makes me smell like a god.

  • It’s a clone of Sauvage EDT with hints of mandarin from the Parfum version and incredible quality. Lasts 10-12 hours on skin, which is insane for around $20. You only notice the mandarin if you wear it next to the original. Maison Alhambra has some real gems in terms of value. Note: don’t confuse it with the Intense version; I wouldn’t recommend that one. Bottom line: safe purchase.

  • chaperonas

Don’t give up on the initial soapy opening; it’s just that. Then it explodes just like Dior Sauvage EDT, with brutal projection and longevity for such a low price (around $20 for 100ml). The dry-down is similar, though ambroxan doesn’t suit me personally. If you like Sauvage, this is a must-buy.
