My favorite of the Arabes. At first, I didn’t like it; I detected a car air freshener scent, but then I started to like it. Be careful when wearing it in summer, as it tends to be nauseating for those who smell it from afar.
The Delicious Dupe: At first, it’s sugary, caramelized vanilla that wraps you in warmth. It’s sweet, but with that fine pastry vibe that invites you closer. Then coumarin kicks in and shifts the direction: it becomes powdery and talcum-like, with a serious, elegant nuance. Here, Éclaire differs from youthful vanillas; it doesn’t aim to be a candy, but rather sophisticated. On my nose, I don’t detect the lactonic note, so it stays sober. Hours later, the vanilla turns creamy and comforting on skin. It conveys elegance and maturity, ideal for those who prefer a polished profile. My rating: 7/10. Coumarin takes off points because I’m not a fan, but overall it offers a distinct proposal within the vanilla universe, designed for an elegant sweet that isn’t cloying.
It’s the vanilla monstrosity from Mercadona.
It’s super delicious; for the price, I think it’s worth it. It cost me $44. At first, I smelled caramel, vanilla, and honey. A little later, I smelled milk, sugar, and then the white flowers; it’s a super cozy combination. It’s not an aggressive perfume; it’s like a dessert, but without being overly sugary—it’s at the ideal point and lasts well. For me, it lasts about 5 hours or more. The trail feels relatively moderate, but people who are close to you really like it.
This perfume opens with a creamy hit of caramel and milk, but not the cloying kind that tires you out… it’s more like the sensation of having spent the morning cooking dulce de leche, stirring slowly until it thickens and takes on a soft toasted hue. I think that’s where the praline comes in, adding that vibe of cooked sugar, warm and golden, without falling into the childish. I feel the honey lightly, like a thread that adds shine without being the protagonist. Although it theoretically carries white flowers, on my skin they don’t appear as such; rather, they’re a nuance that prevents it from being too sweet, giving it quiet elegance, like a lordly weight that distances it from the youthful. The vanilla and musk base is shy, but it rounds out the creamy body without making it synthetic. On my skin, it feels surprisingly natural, soft, and warm. Nothing groundbreaking, but very pleasant and easy to wear. For the price I got it (5 oz for $16.99 at Marshalls), honestly, it feels like a small creamy and sweet jewel, one that doesn’t aim to shout, but to embrace.
I think I was sold a fake version because at least I smell burnt plastic and it’s not pleasant at all. Super synthetic aroma with very low longevity.
It smells like car air freshener with velvet seats. The vanilla note smells like flan, yes, that’s what it smells like. A velvet chair smeared with flan.
My wife owns it. The longevity and projection are insane. It has a trail that projects a lot and lasts about 10 hours approximately. On clothes, it’s eternal. Regarding the scent, it’s quite sweet, though it doesn’t end up being cloying (unless you hate sweet aromas). The most noticeable thing is that very prominent lactonic note accompanied by caramel and a bit of honey. The rest of the accords are present but on a more secondary plane. If you like sweet aromas, you definitely should buy it.
It captivated me at first, and I used it for a while, but I realized that because it’s so milky and sweet, if I’m in an enclosed space, it starts giving me headaches; what a pity.
Pure bliss. Caramel with cream, a hint of honey and vanilla… absolutely delicious! Truly a hit. In the dry down, it becomes an irresistible praline. To all gourmand lovers: highly recommended, without a doubt.
I bought it blind and was satisfied. Its popularity is understandable. It’s very sweet; I mainly smell caramel. When it dries down, it’s different; try it on skin: I smell a cookie or coconut tart. If you don’t like perfumes that smell like desserts, I don’t recommend it. If you like Bianco di Latte or well-vanillified perfumes, you’ll love this.
Good longevity, but unfortunately, I didn’t love it. Although I like the scent, it didn’t surprise me at all because it reminds me a lot of BBW’s Vanilla Bean Noel. It feels like freshly baked butter cookies. I thought it would be more lactonic, but it’s just a strong, hot caramel.
A plastic wrapper stained with burnt dulce de leche. The smell of burnt plastic is repulsive. It is sweet, yes, it resembles Bianco Latte, yes, but in a synthetic and unpleasant way.
I loved it. I hesitated to buy it because of bad reviews saying it smelled like ‘burnt rubber’ or ‘plastic’; they should check their noses and question whether they bought a fake because it doesn’t smell anything like that. Despite being quite sweet for hot weather, people have complimented it a lot. It only overpowers if you spray 20,000 times on the back of your neck and 10,000 more in your armpits; two sprays are enough.
One of my favorites, totally delicious. Avoid using it in summer because it’s extremely cloying and gives me a headache. In winter, it’s great, 10/10.
The copy literally cost me 3 euros, same scent and same bottle on Shein; now I ordered a sample of the original, Yara Elixir, and Marsmellow, and guess what? They all smell the same. Arabic perfumes are a disappointment, haha.
Too sweet for me; if you really love gourmands, this is for you. It smells like cookies after a while, but honestly, the opening is very alcoholic and turns people off. It does last a long time, so much so that I’m desperate to shower to get it off. I think I’m going to get diabetes from this perfume. I wouldn’t recommend using it in hot weather because it’s extremely, extremely invasive.
I tested it at a perfume store, on one arm and on the other a perfume I can’t even remember because the Eclair invaded everything. Vanilla, vanilla, vanilla—intense, sticky, and probably the sweetest perfume I’ve ever smelled. The next day, my arm still smelled of vanilla; it soaked right into my watch. It’s a lovely scent; the white floral notes keep it from being overwhelming, but it can be too much because it’s like bathing in vanilla essence. For me, it was too much because I tested it in the middle of summer, but I’d still add it to my collection for those days when I need that level of sweetness.
I love it; super long-lasting, vanilla, lactonic, dulce de leche, dessert-like. But only for cold climates because it can be suffocating; there are no spices, which is why it’s an Arabic scent I enjoy. It lingers on clothes until you wash them.
To be honest, if this is the dupe for Bianco Latte (even though I’ve never tried the original), I’d buy it again when I run out. It’s a gourmand that makes you want to lick your fingers—super creamy with a perfect balance of musk. I’m obsessed with sweetness; perfumes that are too powdery gross me out, but this hits the sweet spot: creamy caramel without being cloying, with equally smooth vanilla. It literally smells like a little dessert. Lasts 6-7 hours with good projection; in a small room, people can smell me from the doorway. The opening is very alcoholic, but once it settles, it’s super creamy, literally like melted caramel in a bottle.
My beloved Eclaire!!! Smells like a little treat, cake, full-on gourmand. ‘Exquisite’ is an understatement for how much I love this perfume, for the love of god. I’m waiting for winter to wear it again because for certain noses, it can be a bit heavy for summer. On me, it has good longevity and a strong sillage, though that might be because I apply a lot; I’m fascinated by it.
It’s a good fragrance if you want to smell like dulce de leche, though I don’t recommend it for heat. It can be suffocating in summer, better suited for winter. As a daily wear, it’s a great option and pairs wonderfully with Cheirosa 71 by Sol de Janeiro. However, the longevity isn’t great, so you’ll need to reapply.
A super sweet fragrance, smells like flan 🍮. It can get a bit tiring if you wear it every day, but it’s very delicious and I love it 🤎.
Top tip: let it macerate for at least a month before sniffing it. I used to think maceration was silly, but I was wrong. For me, it was the difference between hating it and finding it addictive. At first, straight out of the box, I got a super strong burnt rubber smell. Over time, I only smelled powdered sugar, which I didn’t like. Finally, just before I was going to give it away, IT HAPPENED! all the declared notes appeared, plus a bit of cocoa—probably tonka bean even if it’s not listed—that’s perfectly blended. It’s honey, milk, tonka bean, and vanilla; a masterpiece if you love gourmands, perfect for this season. On the other hand, it lacks elegance on its own, but if you layer it with Lattafa’s Peace and Love or Paris Corner’s Eshal, it becomes much more interesting. It’s a great mixer. Give it a chance and some time; mine has been with me for almost a month and a half now, and I absolutely love it. P.S.: I don’t know the Bianco Latte.
It’s rich, but not to that extent… once it dries down, it’s just vanilla. Lasted 4 hours on skin and 6 on clothes. Honestly, I regret buying it; I prefer Nebras.
Personally, it doesn’t work for me, and I won’t lie: it’s a sugar bomb. Very gourmand, bakery-like, almost sticky. Unlike other Lattafa scents, it has no weird notes—just plain, edible sweetness, like a Give Me Gourmand collection but a bit more ‘adult’. I made a mistake testing it in summer; it was overwhelming. It lacks a twist to feel sophisticated, but if you want to smell like vanilla wafer and caramel, this is for you… not for me.
A very delicious perfume, a walking billboard of pure sugar. Milk with caramel is delicious; I loved it so much. It’s worth it, preferably after a good shower so other scents don’t interfere, and in the morning or afternoon when it’s cool, it’s definitely worth it. I loved it so much that I’m itching to try the other two releases they just came out with.
You take a cup of milk, add caramel, honey, sugar, dulce de leche, chocolate candies, ice cream, and every tooth-rotting treat you can think of. Put it in the microwave for 9 minutes until it’s hot, take it out, and take a deep inhale that penetrates your brain—that’s what this Eclaire smells like. Is it synthetic? Honestly, yes. Wearing this perfume is a real test; using it qualifies you for a certified gourmand sick note. I wouldn’t consider it a blind buy unless you already use Scandal or Cher18 and want to go up four notches.
I bought a decant first because reviews said not to buy blindly, but when I smelled it fresh out of the box, I went crazy over how much I liked it. It has an incredibly potent sweetness. Among my favorites for being sweet, it’s creamy, edible, literally smells like dessert. What I love most is how long it lasts and how powerful it is; I got so many compliments saying I smelled like real dessert. Even walking, people would say ‘your perfume smells so good’ 🥹💗
I thought it would be super sweet 😔 but it wasn’t. It was my first Middle Eastern perfume, coming from Sweet Black Exclusive by Cy Zone looking for caramelized notes. It’s not as sweet as the reviews say; it’s more powdery, and I can really detect the floral notes. As I mentioned, it’s not that sweet gourmand they sell you; the VS Coconut Brulee body mist smells way more like caramel than this one.
I just picked up this Eclaire by Lattafa. After hearing a review, my curiosity got the better of me, especially since I have a weakness for floral gourmands and found it original and a good price. Upon application, the opening was super alcoholic, like a vanilla and rum rompope mix, which I hated because I hate alcohol scents. Plus, the sharp note made me sneeze. But a few seconds later, it changed and arrived at those famous notes: a creamy vanilla dessert with a caramel touch. I kept it. The longevity is amazing on skin and clothes. If you’re sensitive to alcohol hits, don’t buy it, but for the rest, it’s worth it. My husband and family told me it smelled good, which convinced me. Note: it’s not for everyday wear; it can be overwhelming, better for winter.
I tried many Lattafa perfumes looking for something good… honestly, it was a NO for all of them. The quality of the ingredients is disappointing; they all feel very artificial. This one is lactonic, sweet, and caramelized… but entirely synthetic.
Unfortunately, this perfume didn’t meet my expectations. From the start, it smells too much like that vanilla air freshener from the supermarket; it takes away exclusivity and elegance. The composition is very linear and artificial, with no evolution or nuances. The vanilla feels cloying and synthetic, dominating everything and becoming monotonous. The sillage is acceptable, but it doesn’t compensate for the lack of personality. It’s noticeable in enclosed spaces or heat. In short, I don’t recommend it; it seems more like an air freshener than a fine perfume, and I wouldn’t gift it to anyone.
I hated it. It smells like synthetic ‘relaxed stomach’ with a burnt plastic top note. I think everyone finds the advertised sweet notes strange except honey, but together they sound like a mix made with a shovel. It gets better as it dries down, but it still feels like sticking your head into a flan 🤢.
I’m a fan of sweet perfumes, but not with Eclaire. It smells heavy, suffocating, and it even gives me nausea. It’s not pleasant at all.
A very sweet and extremely gourmand perfume. It’s literally vanilla with caramel, extremely concise.
This perfume is extreme: you either love it or it kills you. I adore it; it’s super long-lasting on skin and clothes and smells like a sweet delight. If you don’t like people stopping you on the street to ask what you’re wearing, this isn’t for you, but if you do, it’s amazing.
Sweet, caramel, and intense. Very similar to Bianco Laté.
I always thought I’d love this judging by the notes, but something held me back, so I ordered a 5ml decant. Thank God I didn’t buy the full bottle. Major disappointment; I hated it. I’m still trying to figure out what bothers me so much; now I think it’s that very synthetic scent, even reminding me of plastic, though I’m not sure. My advice: don’t buy it blindly or blindly in love.
I’m a huge gourmand fan. After loving Tiramisu Caramel and thinking Banoffi beat it by a mile, I went for Eclaire and was hugely disappointed. Right out of the bottle, it smells like alcohol, and after a few hours, it turns into burnt caramel. Does anyone have a solution? Do you need to let it mature?
