They sprayed this on a tissue for me yesterday. What a pity and what a disappointment with how much I wanted it! I adore magnolias and this packaging color is one of my favorites. Everything in this launch was a promise of luxury and passion I was dying to have this bottle and immerse myself in its contents but the tissue only smelled like something decomposing. I found no orange or any flower. Just something sour I can’t describe maybe that leather tanning smell when they start tanning and smell more like a decomposed corpse than skin. I wanted to give it minutes to wait for the heart notes but it didn’t improve. I had to throw it away. I fervently hope it could be wonderful on other people’s skin. It’s not for me.
I liked the opening it has a citrus touch and the magnolia is very present. The bottle is pretty but it needs more longevity and more development on my skin to buy it; it doesn’t convince me.
They sprayed it on a paper and what a disappointment, my heart broke. I was dying for this bottle, full of promises, but the paper smelled rotten. I didn’t smell any orange or flower, just something sour, like cured leather or a corpse. I waited for it to develop, but nothing happened. I threw it away. Hope it works for others, it’s not for me.
I’m smelling it for the second time at a freeshop. I tested it randomly along with Splendida Jasmin and jasmine on skin; the jasmine didn’t move me an inch but I liked the magnolia so much I wanted to try it on skin. It’s turning out quite similar. It’s a soft yet persistent perfume a harmonious bouquet of white flowers a bit creamy and very elegant. More than elegant it smells arranged like a petal bath like cleanliness but nothing like shampoo smells. It reminds me a lot of the little scent of the letter paper from my childhood and I love it. I don’t perceive the declared patchouli; if it’s there it’s not earthy or dry. I read Nebulosa’s comment and it seems we smelled two totally different perfumes. I don’t find anything that smells like putrefaction; quite the opposite it smells like young fragrant flowers opening. Usually I don’t say a perfume is feminine but with this one I can’t say anything else: it only expresses femininity. Of course thinking anyone can use it we all have feminine and masculine facets. I love it and want it to be part of my collection. Edit with the purchased perfume: I love it and it will be a new favorite; the only ‘bad’ thing is that it doesn’t last long (5-6 hours in 28-degree warm weather) especially considering it’s an EDP and the price but above all considering how well it smells I wish it would last forever. Hahaha. It has a slightly bitter base that supports the floral notes and is softly sweet. The bottle is a jewel its saturated color its solidity the weight of the glass and the solid metal cap… The right size to hold with one hand (unlike the Vie Est Belle problem…). Beautiful.
I’m adding comments from Fragrantica that seem very accurate: dglightblue says the magnolia is a rich velvety luminous white floral; ScarlettX says it smells like a very expensive complex perfume; LisIrishFleur says it reminds them of their childhood magnolias fresh or with that light soapy aroma and notes this perfume is ‘schizophrenic’: sometimes it’s one thing sometimes another a real and authentic magnolia. ismellsogood suggests that if you like sensual classic white florals and neroli buds this is for you with silky velvety vanilla warm and sweet floral similar to Dolce & Gabbana’s Pour Femme Intense. I think the dry-down shares notes with other neroli and musk perfumes but for me it remains more complex and sophisticated in Magnolia Sensuel a little more bitter and earthy like flower talc. It seems to split the waters between those who see it as sour and waxy and those who see it as floral citrusy and creamy. Most agree it recreates the natural flower very well. Some say it doesn’t elevate or give an artistic twist but I don’t see it as a weakness but as a strength: it smells natural a complex mix of flowers and sap juices. I would buy several bottles to keep if I could.
What a lovely flower scent, smells amazing. The downside is it doesn’t last; it fades super fast. It projects a ton at first, but on my skin it disappears instantly. I don’t know if it’s my pH, I’m halfway through the bottle and it always happens the same way, whether it’s cold or hot.
Beautiful fragrance truly beautiful. Unfortunately it doesn’t last long but it projects super well (at least on my skin) until it suddenly disappears. I don’t know why it happens; maybe it’s my pH but I’m already halfway through the bottle and it always happens the same way; cold or hot it’s the same.
I like it but I can’t find the magnolia… and I know it very well.
How can you not love this perfume? It’s my inseparable companion. Even though I have 40ml left I already have a bottle saved so I don’t run out and I’d go into debt without a second thought if they guaranteed me a lifetime supply… After so much use I can describe it better: the opening isn’t the best but it’s lovely floral with a juicy freshness. The magic happens when the opening fades: white non-typical flowers bubble up creamy but not powdery with a wild green touch that keeps the harmony. There’s plenty of neroli but transformed into a fine high-quality cream with no trace of petigrain. It’s the piece that ties everything together. The magnolia is a caress like the soft bump of a kitten you want to keep petting. Then a warm woody vanilla appears for a supreme dry-down. Is it sweet? Yes but not bakery sweet; it’s a natural sweetness mixed with flowers and softened by musk. Everything has vital pulsing energy. It has body doesn’t fade and maintains a delicate complexity that I’m passionate about. Everything is well done. The bottle’s bordeaux makes me think of velvet: safe and sensual. And I have to correct the longevity: 8 hours without fail.
Wuaaaooo, what can I say? Absolute luxury. It’s a fragrance that smells exquisite.
Wuaaaooo what can I say? Absolute luxury. It’s an exquisite-smelling fragrance.
Simply one of my best perfumes; it was a blind buy. It smells amazing and lasts quite a while on my skin. For me, it’s an all-rounder.
Straight to my favorites, I bought it blind and it didn’t let me down. Smells great and lasts quite a bit on the skin. For me, it’s an all-rounder, I use it all the time.
It didn’t convince me at all. It’s a typical pharmacy shampoo scent. Little sillage, little longevity, though I have to admit the packaging of the Splendida line is still very beautiful.
90% similar to Mithyka by Lbel.
Exquisite fragrance; it makes me smile when I apply it. I definitely love it. It has good longevity on skin and moderate projection; if I need to reapply, I will, it’s delicious. New favorite 😍 How come I’m only discovering it four years after its launch? So much time wasted without enjoying it!
What a wonderfully crafted perfume. My issue with florals is usually that, while they have fresh openings, they tend to dry out into something cloying and powdery. Magnolia is different. That high citrus accord accompanies the perfume through all its phases; it smells fresh until it fades. But it’s a discreet citrus; God knows I get bored with orange, but here ‘orange’ or ‘lemon’ isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. That tells me a lot about its balance and elegance. The magnolia is accompanied by the subtle freshness of jasmine and mandarin, anchored on a sober, creamy vanilla. For now, I’m sticking with its sister, Jasmin Noir, because I’m a lover of jasmine and black, but I had to share my admiration for Magnolia Sensuel. It smells like a cream tart with mandarin for tea, fresh flowers, and a red velvet armchair.
What a well-done perfume. My problem with florals is usually that while they tend to have fresh sparkling openings they dry down into something overly sweet and powdery. Magnolia is different. That high citrusy accord accompanies the perfume in all its phases it smells fresh until it goes away. But it’s a discreet citrus. God knows orange bores me easily but here… it’s not ‘orange’ or ‘lemon’ that comes to mind first. That tells me a lot about its balance and elegance. For now I’ll stick to its sister Jasmin Noir because I’m a jasmine and black lover but I had to share my admiration for Magnolia Sensuel. A mandarin cream tartlet to accompany tea. Fresh flowers and a red velvet armchair.
Bulgari makes some amazing perfumes, but not this one. It’s a citrusy magnolia that feels very chemical and not real. One of the best magnolias I’ve ever smelled is Miracle by Lancome. That’s probably why that perfume is still around after more than 20 years 💖
I don’t know what the influencers are smelling before payment to put this fragrance in the clouds; maybe I’m the one who’s wrong… What a bland thing. It’s a volatile fragrance with no sillage or longevity, one of the most boring ones out there. You barely feel a blend of powdery flowers, among which stand out some incredibly soft, drunken magnolia petals. Like the scent of some cosmetic? Sure. For a Bulgari perfume? I don’t think so.
I was looking for magnolia to be the star. Is there magnolia? Yes, of course, but it’s not what shines the brightest; jasmine has a strong presence too. I think it’s a well-crafted scent. It leaves an oily sensation that I actually like. Despite having Tahitian vanilla and patchouli, it doesn’t smell dry and sweet; instead, I perceive soapy white flowers. The projection is very low and short, about an hour. I tested it on a 5ml decant; while it’s pretty, I wouldn’t buy the bottle because the performance is just too low.
Terrible disappointment. I sold it for 30% of what I paid, which was a total loss I always regret. I bought it with high hopes, but what a letdown; it never settled on my skin and I couldn’t even smell it. Luckily, I was able to sell it and get some money back 😣😣
It left me stranded, I sold it for 30% and it was a headache. It was expensive and I regret it to death. I bought it with all my love, but what a letdown. It never settled on my skin, I noticed nothing. Luckily I was able to sell it and get some money back 😣😣
