  I’m having a hard time reviewing this because it’s not my usual style; maybe I’m crazy, but it smells like classic lavender, a barbershop, and aftershave. To my nose, it’s like the coriander from Jo Malone—that dry, soapy lavender. Since I hate lavender, it’s hard for me to like it, unless it’s used in a modern way, like in the first perfume. It’s more masculine and ideal for daily wear if you enjoy classic fougères with lavender. Scent: 5, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 7, Value: 5, Versatility: 8, Originality: 5, Total: 6.

  Niche perfume from Almah Parfums 1948. Balsamic opening with a spicy twist—pepper or coriander? It smells like coriander to me, though I don’t detect that specific note. A curious and very fresh opening. The cypress, cypriol, and other ingredients transport you to a damp autumn forest. Gradually it softens, smelling of freshly cut grass, bushes with some fruit, ferns, and mosses. It’s pure forest. After two hours, it becomes more classic and generic, but high quality. Ideal for those seeking something masculine, classic, and fresh with green notes. Perfumery greetings. Ed: Perfect for shoulder seasons. Not a challenge, but the quality is there.
