Fresh woody opening with a very pleasant vibe, but once it dries down it turns super balsamic with a star note of oregano juice (for those who know what I’m talking about)—a bit unusual. Didn’t fully convince me.

If it just improved a bit in performance, it would be one of my favorites. Ivvavik lacks projection and longevity on the skin. The opening is intense and, being a woody extrait, it promises to be beastly. Right now, it smells very much of wood and spices; I detect cedar mixed with whiskey-like alcohol, nutmeg, and flowers that give it a special touch. As it dries down, it gets even better, like standing in front of a glass of Cardhu, evoking childhood memories of my dad having a drink before bed while we watched TV in the living room. The base has excellent, natural, rounded cedar with those floral and spicy nuances. The issue came after two hours, as I couldn’t smell anything on my skin. I thought it was olfactory fatigue, but today I smelled my shirt from yesterday and… nothing, as if I hadn’t worn perfume. It’s a shame because the quality is excellent and the scent very pleasant. The aroma is a bit masculine, but a woman can wear it if she likes alcoholic-style perfumes. I was thinking of it for nightwear, but due to its low longevity, it works for any time of day. Scent: 9 Longevity: 6 Projection: 5 Value for money: 4.5 (quality is good, but I can’t help but note it’s extra pricey compared to the rest of the brand) Versatility: 8 Originality: 9 Overall: 7

  3. If it were a bit more potent, it would be my favorite perfume. Ivvavik just needs a little more projection and longevity on the skin. The opening is intense and, as a woody extrait, it promises to be a beastly fragrance. Right now, it smells very much of wood and spices; I notice a cedar base mixed with whiskey-like alcohol, nutmeg, and some flowers that give it a special character. Then comes the dry-down phase, where it improves even further. It’s like standing in front of a glass of Cardhu, bringing back childhood memories: my dad would have a drink before bed while we watched TV in the living room. In the base, there’s a very natural and good cedar, rounding everything out with that floral and spicy touch. The problem arose after two hours, as I couldn’t smell anything else on my skin. I thought it was olfactory fatigue, but today I smelled my shirt from yesterday and… nothing. As if I hadn’t worn perfume. It’s a pity because the quality is excellent and the scent very pleasant. It smells a bit masculine, but a woman can wear it if she likes alcoholic-style perfumes. I was thinking of it for nightwear, but due to its short longevity, it works for any time of day.
