This is my first niche perfume from this house, and it was a hit. On my skin, it evolves constantly during the first five hours; it’s not linear, which I love. It opens with woods, a friendly oud, and some spices I can’t quite identify. After a few hours, the oud takes over, blending with soft coffee, birch, rhubarb, and sandalwood, transporting me to a dry, natural place that fits the name ‘Savannah’s Heart’ perfectly. It’s unisex, though geared toward men; women can wear it too. Ideal for cold weather, though I’ll be wearing it this spring. The trail, projection, and longevity are excellent. Don’t buy it blindly if you don’t like oud, because it becomes very dominant, and I think that’s great.
Savannah’s Heart is a unique and highly original fragrance. It shares some similarities with Nasomatto’s Black Afgano, but they are very different scents. It’s a woody, smoky scent with a green touch and a strong coffee note. As an extrait de parfum, it has great longevity.
