Descripción

Escapade a Byzance by Olibere Parfums is an oriental fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2015, this composition was created by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. The top notes unfold a vibrant blend of cinnamon, black pepper, saffron, ginger, thyme, and citrus. The heart reveals a spicy and resinous elegance with cloves, incense, and cypress. Finally, the base notes settle into a warm, woody foundation featuring benzoin, amber, vanilla, cedar, heliotrope, patchouli, musk, and vetiver.

It seems fresh for her, but it doesn’t smell feminine to me at all. It’s an oriental with spices; although it has citrus, they’re in the background. Ideal for hot days: it smells good but discreet. The dry down is delicious.

After wearing it for several days, I finally understand the reputation of French perfumes: pure elegance and style.

  • Smells like warm and versatile spices, nothing typical of common cinnamon or pepper. It has a lot of personality, with strong black pepper that evolves into cinnamon, citrus, incense, and wood. It’s a delight, perfect for any season, though for me it screams autumn. The trail is moderate and lasts 4-5 hours, leaving a veil of spices and florals on the skin. It could be unisex, but I feel it’s very feminine. Give it a try; it will be a pleasant experience if you like spices. 10/10

  • It’s a warm and spicy fragrance with very versatile and original notes. It’s not the typical cinnamon and pepper scent we’re used to and that’s already overrepresented in the market. This smells very interesting, and I repeat, quite peculiar and unique. It opens with a very prominent black pepper, and its evolution reveals cinnamon mixed with citrus and aromatic touches, that incense, and finally woody and amber notes. It’s an olfactory delight you can wear anytime or anywhere, but for me, this scent screams autumn. What a beautiful autumn this exquisite fluid captures. Moderate to wide trail. Lasts about 4-5 hours of solid projection before settling into a veil of rich spices, florals, wood, and amber on your skin. It could be perfectly unisex, though I feel it’s very feminine for me. Anyway, I invite you to try it; I guarantee it will be a very pleasant experience if you’re into this type of fragrance. 10/10
