One of my favorite citrus scents, alongside Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue, but the DKNY is overwhelming with its green and orange notes. It’s clean, sexy (without being nearly sweet), youthful, active, and fresh. The ‘energizing’ part fits perfectly because it gives you a sharp, cheerful, and vibrant boost with a sillage that lingers, generating compliments, especially from men. What I like most is that it’s not tiring, even when intense. Being slightly invasive, it’s also citrusy and fresh, but it compensates with its very subtle sensual floral side. Plus, you’re constantly smelling like you’re in a cloud of cleanliness and femininity. My timeless daily favorite.

It’s the first perfume I was able to buy in high school, and I still have it in my collection today. I mega super love it.

  • I LOVE this perfume; I’ve had it and still have it. I adore it, use it all year round, and it’s my favorite, even though I miss the summer limited edition I can no longer find. Adorable!

  • I love citrus perfumes, but this smells too much like tangerine, making it sweeter than I’d like. I prefer more zesty citrus notes. Still, I think it’s delicious; I wouldn’t buy it blindly because it really does smell heavily of tangerine.

  • My perfume. All day on my skin. People tell me not to change it (even though I use others). I love it; I’ve been using it for years and keep repurchasing. A exquisite citrus with a burst of flowers, sandalwood, and amber. Simply exquisite. Clean, excellent projection and longevity. It performs extraordinarily well on cold days; in summer it can be heavy, so two sprays are enough. On clothes, it lasts until you wash it or take it to the dry cleaner. I love it.

I don’t have this one, but I do have one from Mercadona that smells very similar. It’s amazing and, to me, unisex. Guys, try it. Don’t be intimidated by fragrance gender. I love them all, like BVLGARI Man in Black, Versace Pour Homme, or Sauvage Elixir, and this one too. We can have it all.

  • I don’t know where you get the idea that it smells like tangerine or lemon; it smells like air freshener, with a touch of lemon. I bought it because my boyfriend liked it, but I haven’t finished it because I absolutely hate it. It smells like strong household cleaner to me.

  • To me, it’s delicious—very citrusy (I mainly smell tangerine) at first, then the sweetness takes over. It feels sweet yet fresh, perfect for summer or when I need lightness and transparency. I bought it blindly and would buy it again; I use it a lot to unwind and feel fresh and friendly.

  • Full of tangerine and bitter orange with a lot of green tomato, while cassia and flowers like jasmine adorn it subtly. The base is suede, amber, and woods, very skin-close. Lucky there’s no patchouli! It’s fresh, energetic, cheerful, and sparkling, ideal for any season but extra great in the heat. Excellent longevity and sillage. Try it; it’s not floral as it seems, it’s green, citrusy, and woody.

  • Super fresh for the heat, smells like a vodka cocktail with orange and ice. The tomato leaf note dominates for 8-9 hours and projects amazingly. It’s an unusual citrus wonder, but I wouldn’t buy it blindly because it’s very personal and doesn’t suit everyone.

  • I bought it today as I do every year when summer approaches. It never misses from my collection. I first smelled it in 1992 on my best friend, and it was instant love. The next day I went to buy it, and since then it’s my quintessential summer perfume. It really is exactly as it says on the bottle: a fragrance full of energy. When I smell it, I imagine myself in an Ibiza dress, sandals, strolling along a beach in my city, Alicante, with this perfume… A true delight. It fills me with vitality.

  • Mundolores

A fragrance inspired by New York. The bottle, like a skyscraper, contains a dynamic and energetic essence. A resolutely citrus aroma, almost electronic and futuristic. Citrus from start to finish, feeling timid floral reflections at some point, but the citrus presence is colossal. In this sense, agreeing with @egrimalt in his review, one might think of a fresh floral, but nothing could be further from the truth. You’ll find an intense green citrus with a certain bitterness, full of freshness at the start and gradually moving towards a drier, more formal scent. Great sillage and longevity. More than 8 hours on the skin.

I’ve given it several chances, but no, I can’t. I don’t know if it’s because too many people wear it in summer and I got saturated, but I can’t smell it for long because I strongly dislike it. In summer, it seems to be a classic in several countries, and that’s probably why I can’t use it anymore. It’s fresh and wearable for lovers of this type of perfume, but it emits something acidic; I’m not talking about my skin, but about the people wearing it, and that’s not something I like, probably the tomato leaves aren’t to my liking. There are many more beautiful options in the market to use in summer, in my opinion. I recommend trying it before buying.

  • Tomato leaf. It’s like tonic water: you learn to love it. More than citrus, it feels like a COLD eau de parfum. A classic for summer already, but it also has its spot in winter. Performance is very good for the type of fragrance it is, like few others. I can’t be without it.

  • Refreshing, fizzy, green. It’s been a blessing on the hottest days of this summer; now that I have little left, I use it to go to the gym. Nothing invasive; the opening is potent but softens after a while. I don’t know if I’ll repurchase, but it’s a summer option I’ll keep in mind.

  • A sparkling soda with lots of ice and lemon zest. A tonic, Sprite, or Schweppes that’s highly refreshing and comforting. It sparkles from the start and softens over time, taking on a gentler, velvet-like form. That transformation from a fizzy citrus to a fresh, and above all, clean softness is the great magic of this formula. It’s one of those fragrances born in an era when synthetic formulas were trendy, evoking cleanliness and natural purity without soap (CK, Miyake…). DKNY is a classic imitated a thousand times that always works and is liked in any season. Its superpower is the sensation of cleanliness, purity, and freshness present from start to finish for a long time. The secret lies in the tomato leaf, which adds a brushstroke of natural eco-green freshness that becomes familiar and pleasant.

  • It’s cold, bitter, fizzy, spicy, aquatic, and citrusy. At the same time, it’s elegant and unisex. There have been many dupes, but none evolve the same way. I love the bottle and the contents.

  • Wow, I’ve never felt a bigger energy punch to the face than this one. Literally, while I was sick, I put it on to feel vital. For moments when life overwhelms you and you’re exhausted, spray this and imagine a smashed orange from the gym yelling at you to keep going like your personal coach. Literally, it smells like orange Fanta with vodka, but with green nuances, and the tomato leaf plant is definitely noticeable. The fizzing sensation is there the moment you apply it. For a citrus, it has projection and longevity that’s championship-level. Curiously, it’s at the top of my partner’s favorites list on me. And yet, it’s not a feminine or sexy scent at all. Highly recommended for people who love citrus without fear of success.

  • How could I not know about this? Launched in 2009 and I never tried it, but thanks to some perfume influencers, I realized it was made for me. I’m a fan of Light Blue, L’Essentiel de Rochas, etc., but I was looking for something different. I love the citrus with a bitter touch and better longevity. It has a very recognizable tomato leaf opening in summer—bitter and astringent—but it quickly transforms into an incredible clean scent. It smells like white laundry hanging out to dry, fresh from the laundry. On my skin, it doesn’t project much, but I can definitely smell it and it lasts forever, even after showering! I’m so happy. Now I only want perfumes that smell clean; it’s my new obsession.

  • It’s the fragrance I always come back to: citrus and spicy at first, but sweet on my skin when dry. It’s always fresh and smells clean. It lifts my mood to start the day, and I love that it doesn’t smell too feminine.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

I was surprised by its longevity and sillage. It gives me the impression of wearing white linen. It’s an undisputed clean-scented perfume that’s also invigorating.

  • Nice fragrance, but it’s neither citrusy nor unisex. Except for the tangerine at the start, it’s floral, powdery, and feminine.

  • I like it a lot; very refreshing scent, reminds me of a glass of gin with lime and lots of ice. I use it sparingly because all supermarkets already have the clone… what a shame.

  • It’s an energy shot, an original citrus thanks to its tomato leaf note. I love it. The only thing I complain about is the longevity and sillage; on me, it doesn’t last long, but I still use it because I love it. The opening is citrusy and sparkling, then the tomato leaf enters with a particular and satisfying aroma. I don’t notice the other notes much; afterwards, it becomes a soft citrus with floral touches, energetic, and finally settles into a clean scent. Highly recommended for those who love citrus, fresh, clean, yet distinctive scents.

  • I adore this fragrance, but to me it smells like vodka. It’s urban and cold as ice, blinding like the Arctic horizon… in short: fantabulous!

  • What a perfume! It’s very different from today’s gourmands. It has great longevity and projection. It mixes citrus freshness with wood and leather, and it works! I love it, I use it in any season. Very elegant, without any affectations.

  • DKNY Woman is citrusy, aromatic, floral, and even herbal, featuring a realistic tomato leaf note that gives it a unique stamp. The opening is pleasant and addictive. Perfect right after a shower to feel clean in spring or summer. A real pleasure in extreme heat, with good longevity and sillage. It’s unisex and versatile for daily wear, the gym, the beach, or hot nights. I discovered it years ago and was fascinated. I reorder it instantly. It’s impossible not to remember the Twin Towers with that iconic bottle, which fits the DKNY brand perfectly. *Note: The photo is not of this fragrance; it was swapped with DKNY Woman Energizing EDP.

  • tamagotchi

It’s a trip back to the 2000s. On the skin, it’s divine as it develops. At first, I notice a lot of cilantro, but once that initial phase passes, it’s pure heaven.

  • susy mazza

DKNY Women is my absolute obsession; nothing compares to it. It’s so mine that I never leave without it—it’s pure energy. I always get compliments on the trail. I’ve worn it for years and there’s no competition. To my kids, it smells like Mom… which is amazing, nothing beats that!

  • juancar677

To my nose, it’s a unisex leaning masculine, and that’s because I’ve never tried a citrus this bitter; it’s a sensation of cold vodka with ice and many slices of bitter orange in the glass. Of course, this is just the beginning, but it will be a leitmotif throughout its development. The flowers are felt but very faintly, and the green parts are pleasant; it’s a very energetic perfume that gives a vital mood boost. I don’t know why Ms. Karan sells it only for women; I think it’s a mistake. It’s bright, luminous, and contrasting, very Spring-Summer, though versatile; it will shine with its freshness in summer, mind you, both day and night. Except for its opening, the fragrance is worn with pleasure and doesn’t tire anyone out; the 100ml bottle lasted very little. It has a certain glamour and personality; it’s from 1999 but much better than newer versions or trends, guys, you’ll like this. It’s feminine just enough, no more. Its longevity and projection are correct, considering the years since its debut; I ignore if New York will smell like this, I suppose not. Post: I’ve been wearing it these days and am very, very happy with it for sure. A man, this perfume, and night are the perfect combination that will break the mold. A feminine scent had to be the one that performed best in Summer 2025.

I bought a sample on recommendation from social media and fell in love. It’s the one I use the most. It’s acidic and different; I love it, although I have to reapply it several times. I buy it in pairs. 🥰

  • oliendobonito

This is a fruity-floral aquatic fragrance. If you like fresh scents but don’t want to smell like coconut, sunscreen, or typical summer citrus, this is different. The tomato leaf note is clearly perceived, but don’t think you’ll smell like Bolognese sauce; absolutely not. It adds a green, fresh touch that subtly recalls tomato, but in an elegant and original way. Definitely not for everyone, and I wouldn’t recommend it blindly. It has excellent longevity, staying on clothes for about 8 hours without issues.

  • I love it, especially for summer. It’s very fresh and energizing, putting you in a good mood. The citrus and aromatic notes are very noticeable (the tomato leaf 🥰). I see it as totally unisex, though I lean towards feminine. It’s ideal for work, in hot areas, urban, and non-invasive despite having decent projection. I agree it feels reformulated: I remember that in the 2000s it lasted hours with significant sillage; now I don’t notice it lasting as long (max 5-6 hours on my skin). That said, it performs better than other citrus scents. Totally recommended, a different citrus that never fails to make an appearance in my collection 😍

  • DKNY Women captures the essence of freshness and cleanliness, a true must-have for those seeking an ozonic touch. I discovered this fragrance thanks to its clone, the deodorant Prune I, which was gifted to me long ago. From the first spray, there’s an explosion of ozonic notes evoking purity and vitality. It’s like waking up on a radiant morning, where every note intertwines harmoniously to offer a refreshing and enveloping experience. As it evolves, it maintains that clean essence, providing the ideal lightness for both daily wear and special occasions.

  • JohnAcosta25

Energetic, bubbly, and timeless. Quite unique—it’s my older sister’s summer fragrance, but it can be quite unisex too. It’s a fantastic option for the heat and a great way to smell different from the typical summer citrus; to me, it’s like mineral water with a spice touch and light floral and fruity notes. The tomato leaf gives it a peculiar green vibe, reminiscent of one of those chic summer cocktails. As affordable as it gets with average performance, it’s a very pleasant and original choice 👍

  • I discovered this fragrance in the middle of winter 2025, and it blew my mind. It’s green, fresh, clean, sparkling, ozonic… brutal. At first, it smells like tonic, then the citrus and green notes emerge, along with a touch of wood and something earthy from the patchouli, though very soft. It doesn’t have the declared tea note, but it reminds me of it. It has a vintage, classic air, but nothing outdated—rather, timeless. I think I’ll enjoy it more next summer. I’m glad it crossed my path. If you liked Adolfo Domínguez’s Green Tea or other niche scents like Bois Imperial, this is a highly recommended blind buy. In my opinion, it’s unisex leaning slightly feminine.

  • On Skin Parfums

Hi, I last bought this DKNY Women EDP in 2025 for about €35 for 100ml in a physical store. Now it’s around €30, and I’ve even seen it for €25 both online and in-store. My rating, considering what it is and its price, is very positive. Although it says ‘Women,’ for me, it’s totally unisex. It’s a clean, rich citrus scent, and even better at this price point. It evokes that feeling of taking a bath with lots of soap and bubbles, right when you step out and your skin smells intensely clean. On my dry skin, it lasts about 6-7 hours, which is more than enough for this type and price; on clothes, it hits 9. It has a noticeable sillage but nothing invasive, and people usually enjoy smelling it. In the end, smelling clean is the safest bet: it’s sexy, pleasant, and almost always works. I’d definitely buy it again. Cheers!

  • First review, and what better choice than this perfume! Probably my favorite alongside Guerlain’s Bois d’Orange. Many consider it a summer scent, but for me, it’s winter because of that mandarin—it’s my dream fragrance. The first time I tried it, I knew nothing about it; I sprayed it on my wrist and was instantly wrapped in it. I thought I’d just squeezed fresh mandarin and orange juice onto my skin. It was so delicious… I didn’t even wait 24 hours before buying it, and since then, it’s one of the ones I keep coming back to. If you love citrus and enjoy smelling freshly showered, try it now.
