  • Well, I used this fragrance for a while. I bought it blind after reading positive comments on Fragrantica in English, and yes, it’s very good, long-lasting, elegant, and nocturnal. It’s not a fragrance (in my perception) for an 18 or 20-year-old; it even suits people 30 and up. It is mysterious, true. What I feel is an explosion of mint and lavender in the first few seconds; as it settles, it becomes a mentholated lavender with a woody base, a bit of cardamom, and a touch of tobacco. If ‘tobacco,’ it’s not a declared note but it’s felt, like when you smell a cigar tobacco; that touch isn’t much but it’s there. It stays this way, super linear. I don’t feel the cloves and vetiver; by the end, when it’s almost skin-level, you feel the hazelnut and nutmeg slightly sweet, but only you will smell it. I think it’s a timeless fragrance that performs better in an enclosed space. But that mentholated lavender with the woody base, a bit of cardamom, and a touch of tobacco, according to ME!, calls for seasons like autumn, spring, and summer. 3 hours projection and 6 to 7 hours longevity. A cologne at such an accessible price that it doesn’t feel synthetic at all, phew. I totally recommend it.

  • Hello everyone. My experience with this fragrance has been interesting: it started almost as a disappointment and evolved into a pleasant discovery. I use it for work daily thanks to its low price and the excessive heat these days in La Mancha. For the first few days (working outdoors), I couldn’t perceive its scent beyond the first few minutes, where it feels very fresh and potent, a real shot in the arm that, much to my regret, disappeared too soon. But things changed when I had two days at the office (the paperwork piled up); this is where this brew combines its subtle projection with very good longevity and earns points for me. Its intensity after the first few minutes seems designed for situations where a potent perfume would be annoying to those around me. It gradually fills the area where I am, subtly, kindly, and without bothering anyone, a sort of halo surrounding me. I encounter its scent when I return to the table where I was five minutes ago. For me, it’s an office fragrance and for use in enclosed spaces, as DavidPriest indicated, valid for attending to that special client from many years ago, for an informal business lunch, or for a relaxed dinner with friends, and of course for that glass of wine in the kitchen with my wife when returning home at night (yes, I reapply a couple of sprays before getting out of the car; my fragrance travels with me, and no occasion is better than this). Its scent won’t offend any nose or mask other fragrances; it’s versatile in this aspect and has a sexy point at close range during the first hours when it shows more fresh, before perhaps becoming more ‘earthy’ and woody. As for the recommended ages for use, true to my theory, between 7 and 99 years old, although I suppose the range could be expanded even more. Best regards, fragranticos.

  • First off, this isn’t for teenagers, because they’ll prefer what’s trendy even if it smells like an armpit. This is for someone with defined tastes, settled in life, who sets trends with their style and how they move through the world, where people take notice and copy it. It’s really great; I never get tired of smelling it; that lavender, nutmeg, and hazelnut are unique. The hazelnut, woods, and nutmeg are fantastic. Given that its aroma is unusual and atypical, it reminded me a bit of Borsalino Panama and some of Hugo Boss Baldessarini in its fine soapy aspect. This is for people 30 and up, could be for a date, something more elegant. It’s a discontinued fragrance but I still have some ml left in the bottle; that mix of hazelnuts and lavender, fine soap, and cardamom is exquisite. I can’t find another current perfume that matches its composition. Obviously, it’s not focused on young students; this is a bit more refined with an elegant dress code. Its projection or aromatic bubble is in the 5-hour range, and longevity on skin is 8 hours. It reacts to skin moisture because it appears when you sweat. Check if the Hugo Boss Bottled or Burberry Touch lines suit you, because this will do it much better. I’m mentioning this as an example because some people wear this type of aroma well, while others can’t even handle it with glue; not all skin pHs are the same.

  • It has a soapy, clean dry-down. The scent is very similar to Lanvin L’homme Sport and reminds me of Rive Gauche, that barbershop soap smell. In fact, my girlfriend said it smelled like shower gel to her.

  • Fragancefran

Smells like cheap supermarket shower gel. Not recommended at all, and the longevity is barely half an hour on my skin.

My first fragrance from this French house, made by Interparfums in France. Original 100ml bottle, priced almost like a cheapie based on what I saw locally. Batch from 2015. Totally spiced and fresh without being overpowering; the opening is potent and leaves a mark in the room. As it dries down, it sweetens just right and left a great impression (reviewed by the now-defunct Tony Star Fragrances). Projection isn’t long, it quickly goes to personal bubble, and skin longevity is average (5-6 hours). I see it as a daily wear, not for extreme heat, and only for daytime since it lacks the power for night outings. Thanks to its original aroma (you can definitely smell the spices), it adds something new to my collection since I didn’t have anything like this. I’d heard mixed things about ST Dupont due to another fragrance and their lighter brand image. Totally recommended, great scent for personal enjoyment or reapplying at the office or in enclosed spaces to last through the day. It’s discontinued, not available on the official website, only what’s left in stock.

First fragrance from this French house. Made by Interparfums in France. 100ml bottle, original, at a price almost as good as a replica, as far as I could find out here. Batch code from 2015. Totally spicy and fresh, not overpowering, with a potent opening that can leave a mark in the room. As it dries down, it sweetens, but just enough; it left a good impression, confirming it was a good purchase (reviewed by the late Tony Star Fragrances). Not much projection, it quickly goes to a personal bubble, and longevity on skin is medium (5-6 hours). I see it for daily use, not for extreme heat, and only for daytime since it lacks the punch for night out. I think because it’s an original scent (the spices are noticeable), it adds to my collection since I didn’t have anything similar. I’d heard of ST Dupont, but for a different fragrance and because it’s a lighter brand. Totally recommended, it’s a great aroma for personal enjoyment or for reapplying to please in the office or enclosed spaces (to last all day). It’s discontinued, not on the official website, only units left in stock.

  • Bought it months ago, and here’s the breakdown: fresh and aromatic opening, but after 30 minutes the mint gives way to spices and woods. Smells very unique, blending the fresh and woody notes perfectly. The name NOIR is misleading; for me, it’s a daytime scent, versatile for all four seasons. It doesn’t last forever, but it gets the job done. It costs $20-30 USD worldwide, but finding it at a good price in Argentina is tough. I managed to grab a tester from a trusted perfumerie for $30. It smells a bit mature, but I don’t think age defines a fragrance; I wore Kouros at 20 and got compliments, and 1 Million as a teenager worked well too. Age is a different story.

  • I bought this fragrance a few months ago and after testing it extensively, here’s my take: It has a fresh, very aromatic opening, but after 30 minutes the mint fades, leaving spices and woods. It smells very distinctive, blending fresh, spicy, and woody notes excellently. The name NOIR doesn’t do it justice; for me, it’s a daytime scent, versatile for all four seasons. It doesn’t last forever, but it delivers. People say it’s affordable (20-30 USD), but in Argentina it’s hard to get at a good price. Fortunately, I snagged a tester at a trusted perfumerie for $30. It smells a bit mature; I don’t like fragrances that feel ‘old’ since I’ve worn Kouros at 20 and got compliments, and 1 Million as a teenager and felt comfortable. So, age doesn’t matter.

Bought it for my brother’s wedding and it made me feel elegant and sophisticated. I really like this perfume, even the bottle—I loved it. Too bad it’s hard to find.
