I loved it! At first, I wasn’t sure if it was herbal, fruity, or mentholated, but after a while, it left a rich orange-and-herb scent. It’s a masculine citrus, herbal, with a sweetness that reminds me of a mint lozenge. It felt familiar yet refreshed, something rare and yet cozy. I recommend it for any season; it’s super usable for everyday wear, and in my opinion, it never becomes annoying.
L’Homme Lacoste is a step up from the Intense. The opening reminds me of the original with its oranges and woods, but here there’s a bitter synthetic touch, like Hedione or Calone, giving it a distinct character. The Intense loses the rich, creamy, natural vibe of its predecessor; basically, they took away that bright, deliciously manly orange. For Lacoste, this was a step backward from what they had already achieved. There are no intense improvements, plus it suffers from poor projection and longevity. If you own the original L’Homme, don’t risk it with this Intense; the disappointment is real. Cheers.
L’Homme Lacoste is much better than the Intense. The opening is similar to the original L’Homme, with oranges and woods, but here it smells heavier and more synthetic, like Hedione, Calone, or ambergris. The Intense loses the rich, bright, natural creamy orange of its predecessor, which was very manly. Lacoste made a misstep with this work; there are no intense improvements, and it suffers from terrible projection and longevity. If you own L’Homme, don’t think this Intense will be better; you’ll suffer the same disappointment I’m sharing now. Cheers and thanks.
L’Homme Lacoste Intense is woody, citrusy, and spicy. The opening is citrusy and creamy, just like the original, with a noticeable ginger kick. The woody notes are more accentuated, but the rest is quite similar. It smells like a mix between Boss Orange and The One by D&G. It’s ideal for the office, casual outings, or hanging out with friends; it’s pleasant and never annoying. The longevity is better than the regular version, though it’s not a beast: around 8 hours.
L’Homme Lacoste Intense is woody, with a citrusy and spicy touch. It starts off citrusy and a bit creamy, just like the original, but here you can feel the ginger. The woods are more pronounced, though in everything else it’s almost identical. The scent reminds me of a blend between Boss Orange and The One by Dolce & Gabbana. It’s perfect for the office or casual outings with friends; it smells good, it’s friendly, and it doesn’t bother anyone. The longevity seemed a bit better than the regular version, though it’s not a monster; it lasted about 8 hours.
I’ve always been annoyed that all Lacoste fragrances end up sounding the same over the years; I’ve never seen anything that really stands out or breaks away from the mold of other cheap brands. One that I do like is the L1212 French, the blue bottle one, but for me, it’s the only decent one in their current catalog. I love it! Although I wouldn’t buy it at store price. It’s youthful, modern, and has sparkling citrus notes, good ingredients, and is very versatile. As is usually the case, its longevity is a disaster, ayy, it barely reached 4 hours.
One of my biggest complaints about Lacoste is that their fragrances all end up sounding identical over time, without really standing out or stealing ideas from cheap brands. The L1212 French (blue bottle) is the only decent one in their current lineup, and I absolutely love it, though I wouldn’t buy it at full retail price. It’s youthful, modern, and features sparkling citrus notes, making it very versatile. However, its longevity is a disaster: it barely lasts 4 hours.
Throughout its longevity, the woody notes dominate; the citrus part is only at the beginning (about 20 minutes). It’s sweet and sour, but loaded on the sweet side. My inexperienced nose recognizes it as a smell similar to pomegranate (probably the quince with the rhubarb). Longevity is average: it projects a marked trail for only the first hour and a half, then persists close to the skin until four hours, and after that, it fades away gradually.
Very good fragrance! It smells rich; in my opinion, it’s like a summer version of Dolce & Gabbana’s ‘The One’: fresh, spicy, and a bit sweet, but not cloying. It performs well, projecting very well for the first two hours and then dropping a bit, but you can still smell it from a meter away for longer. Overall, good scent, good longevity, good projection, and good price (50 dollars for 150 ml). The truth is, Lacoste never really convinced me before, but this one changed my mind. It’s not a masterpiece, but I liked it quite a bit; it’s very versatile and easy to like.
Very good fragrance! It reminds me of a summer version of ‘The One’ by Dolce & Gabbana: fresh, spicy, and a little sweet, without being cloying. It has good performance, projecting strongly for the first two hours and then fading but remaining perceptible at arm’s length. Overall, aroma, longevity, and projection are good, and the $50 price for 150 ml is fair. Lacoste never really convinced me before, but this changed my mind; I was quite surprised. It’s not a masterpiece, but I liked it a lot. It’s very versatile and easy to wear.
Rich and easy-to-please aroma, though not original or outstanding. It’s worth it for the price, but I wouldn’t buy it again; it’s good but dispensable. Citrus and fruity notes with a woody-vanilla base. If you’re looking for something under $1,000 that lasts more than six hours, is versatile, and from a well-known brand, it’s an excellent option. The only downside is that the sillage is moderate and the scent isn’t very striking. Longevity: 10, Sillage: 6, Price: 10, Performance: 8. TOTAL: 8.5. Recommended.
It’s a rich scent, not outstanding or original, but it’s easy to like. I recommend it for the price-to-quality ratio; it’s not that expensive for what it offers, though I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s good but dispensable; I’d try other things. It smells sweet and citrusy, with a large fruity part well mixed and a vanilla-woody base. If you’re looking for something under 1,000 pesos that lasts more than 6 hours, is versatile, easy to like, and from a recognized brand, it’s an excellent option. Its only downside is the trail, which seems moderate, although the perfume itself isn’t very loud either. Longevity: 10. Trail: 6. Price: 10. Compliments: 8. Total: 8.5. Recommended.
More fruity than I thought, I see it as floral-fougère. Although the orange and grapefruit scent persists, the floral notes dominate, especially the jasmine which gives it a feminine touch, almost like makeup, but it balances well with the woods. It smells good and is easy to like, but it’s not memorable. Projection is poor: you only notice it at first, then it stays right on the skin.
I’m giving it a second chance because the blend of notes seems beautiful to me, but this brand’s performance leaves much to be desired, at least on my skin. Despite that, I like it so much I’ll give it another shot.
Lasts an hour on the skin, no matter how many sprays you put on. Average scent. Blind buy: total disaster!
I picked it up for 26€ for 150 ml, probably on sale since it costs more than 50€ everywhere else. It has a citrus opening that dries down to reveal flowers with a green touch, without losing that orange note. It gives a pleasant sensation, but it doesn’t fully convince me. The only day I wore it, my colleague said she hated it. Projection is moderate, and while others complain about longevity, on my skin it lasts more than 8 hours. People compare it to La Nuit de YSL, but to me, they have nothing in common. For 26€ and 150 ml, it’s a steal; I hope to get some use out of it in spring or autumn, though with several perfumes in my closet, it will be hard to find the right moment to wear it.
I bought it blind and haven’t regretted it so far, but it’s just an ‘okay’ perfume. It doesn’t go unnoticed, but it won’t leave jaws dropped or earn you compliments. At first, it smells very synthetic and strong, then it softens. The opening is intense and a bit chaotic: sweet and sour citrus at the same time. Quince helps a little, but not entirely. As it dries down, ginger adds a fresh touch, though it remains sweet with that pineapple acidity. At the end, I detect a bit of white musk, amber, and woods that don’t blend well. Is it worth it? Depends on you. It’s not memorable, but it doesn’t smell bad either. It works well for school or the office. I’d give it a 7/10.
Perfect for everyday wear, with good trail, projection, and longevity for the price. I recommend it, but watch out: you need to apply a generous amount to make it last all day.
Smells great for the heat, but it’s very citrusy; it’s luxurious in summer, but in winter it stands out too much.
