Bought it blind, one of my first niche frags, and I took a risk—I admit it. The opening was wild, very herbal with leather, but within minutes the iris takes over and everything becomes clean, musky, without losing that green freshness or the leather. Then comes the mandarin, a luxury citrus. It caught me off guard; it’s so different, especially since I’m not a huge fan of herbal scents. I’ve worn it only a few times so I don’t know the longevity yet, but it’s an 8.5/10 and super versatile for any weather or occasion—exactly what I was looking for.

What happened with this perfume is that I can’t pinpoint which note stands out, from the opening to the dry down. It smells green, earthy, woody, I sense the iris… but all at once. It felt quite linear and not very complex. It left me wanting more; I feel it’s a masculine scent perfect for fall and winter, but I wouldn’t buy it since Memo has options much better than this.

It arrived today; I bought it blind with low expectations, and honestly, it felt like going to a movie premiere where they spoil the ending before you even start. The magic, the illusion—all in the trash. It’s not much different from Yuqawam Pour Homme, Godolphin, or Acqua di Parma. It keeps the same leather base but adds a layer of green floral notes that removes the darkness and gives it a shine. Fresh at first, then vetiver, cypress, galbanum, and iris come through as it dries. Unfortunately, I already owned Yuqawam Ambergris over a year ago, and this smells identical. Everyone said Ambergris was the same as Irish Leather, but it seems my olfactory sensors and memory failed on that comparison. Still, it’s very good for cool weather. Scent: 5.5/10, trail: 8/10, projection: 8/10, longevity: 9/10.

I have a sample, and it’s brutal, exquisite. Long-lasting with excellent projection. Along with African Leather, these are the best Memo fragrances I’ve tried. Pure quality. You’re paying for something that lasts, leaves a trail, and projects well—guaranteed buy.
