What can I say? It’s the best blind buy I’ve ever made. I’m lucky I grabbed it for 2000 pesos or $85. I was already expecting moderate longevity, but by God, the scent is incredible and super unique! It has little to do with its original fragrance, but those woods and fresh notes are out of this world. Use it sparingly so it lasts several years in my collection.

Yves Saint Laurent between 1995 and 2005 had super interesting and rare flankers, but they had a wide range. I miss those glory days of perfumery. If I’ve smelled the original, which is the best of YSL, I imagine this and the other are on an insane level.

It’s magical how the scent of a decade fits into such a small bottle. Spraying it on your wrist takes you back to a past era, full of fougères that evoke better moments. A jewel that needs preserving as it’s becoming extinct. The main difference from the original version is that the opening is a bit more citrusy and minty… the rest is well-known by lovers of this perfume. A clean, crisp aroma that inspires confidence. Despite being called ‘light,’ the potency and sillage are, in my opinion, identical to the original and even surpass (not by much) the current reformulation. A blind buy that stays at home, as it’s the closest thing to buying a time machine.
