Excellent perfume. To my nose, it’s 60% feminine and 40% masculine. It reminds me a bit of Zadig & Voltaire’s White for women, though this is more unisex thanks to the ambered base that makes it shine. Flowers are the stars accompanied by myrrh resin; very cozy, ideal for days where delicacy wins over aggression. But watch out, nothing clean: it’s very sweet and sticky. Excellent option for floral lovers.

I don’t understand why it’s categorized as unisex (I have more unisex than masculine scents); this is directly feminine.
I don’t get why they call this unisex. I own way more unisex scents than men’s fragrances, but this is pure woman.
I was dying to try it because I love those notes, except heliotrope—I don’t know exactly what it smells like, but I suspect it’s the culprit. It’s a cheerful, original floral; I haven’t smelled anything this non-boring in ages. It doesn’t smell musky; it’s very sweet and persistent, sticky as another reviewer said. Zero subtlety, zero refinement, but it’s pleasant. I can definitely detect the sandalwood giving it a creamy touch. The first time I swore I smelled vanilla, and I was surprised when I realized there wasn’t any. Then I did some research and found out heliotrope smells vanillic—that’s what gives it that sweetness. Life’s little quirks, that sweetness makes me gag; I noticed it with Kilian’s Black Phantom, which also has heliotrope. It seems that note and I just don’t get along. To the guys who fear sweet-florals in unisex scents: take note, this leans heavily feminine, not masculine.
What can I say about this perfume? I had high expectations for the notes I love, except for heliotrope, which I don’t know how it smells, though I’m starting to suspect. It’s a cheerful and original floral. It’s been a while since I smelled a purely floral that didn’t bore me. It’s not powdery, but very sweet and persistent, sticky as another reviewer said. Zero subtle, zero refined, but pleasant. I sense creamy sandalwood. The first time I swore it had vanilla, but it doesn’t; the heliotrope smells vanillic and gives that sweetness. Fun fact: that sweetness used to bother me with Kilian’s Black Phantom, which also has heliotrope, so that note and I just don’t click. For men who fear sweet-floral unisex scents, a heads-up: this leans more feminine.
I want to say so many things about this magnificent, wonderful perfume, but I’ll summarize it in a few words: masterful, sexy, seductive, addictive, magnificent, I love it.

Starts with a synthetic, explosive ylang-ylang covered in that cosmetic soap and talcum powder scent. As it dries, it becomes less intrusive, moderately provocative, and very aldehydic. It’s a repetitive ‘powder puff’ formula: flowers at the start and musk at the base. Well-constructed? Yes. Elegant? Definitely. Innovative? Not at all; I expected more. Like others, I see it as more unisex-feminine.
Dear Psychedelic Love: so long since we met, almost a year since I first smelled you at a perfume enthusiast’s house who introduced us. That night I couldn’t stop sniffing my arm where I sprayed you, even waking up with memories of you the next day. I couldn’t forget you, so I kept your memory in my mind, waiting to see you again, but this time in a bottle for myself. It’s the second perfume I’ve managed to keep in my memory without smelling it for a long time; the first was my signature scent from about 15 years ago. No scent has ever marked me so much. Psychedelic Love doesn’t play discreet games: it’s powerful, has great sillage, and excellent longevity, though if I apply it without leaving the house, it gives me a slight headache. Despite using a lot of unisex perfumes, I struggle to imagine this on a man; in my mind, it stands out for its femininity, sweetness, creaminess, and sensuality. It opens with a splendid, creamy ylang-ylang, the bergamot is noticeable for only a few seconds, then a powdery accord appears alongside the civet, while the rose is almost imperceptible. After a few minutes, something animalistic appears; don’t try to fool me. I don’t know if it’s castoreum or civet, but there’s a very provocative animal note that comes and goes as time passes, giving it that sensual halo. And suddenly, the resinous accord of myrrh arrives with its sweetness and slight smokiness. And that sandalwood, oh, what a wonder. I also detect vanilla. I wouldn’t use it alone on very hot days.
Dear Psychedelic Love: I smelled you almost a year ago at a collector friend’s house, and since then, I haven’t forgotten you. That night, I kept sniffing my arm until I fell asleep with your memory. No scent has ever marked me as much as you; I kept your essence in my mind, waiting to see you in a bottle for myself. You’re the second perfume I can remember without smelling it in months; the first was my signature fifteen years ago. Psychedelic Love doesn’t play at being discreet: it’s powerful, with great sillage and longevity. If I wear it without going out, it gives me a headache. Although I use a lot of unisex, I find it hard to imagine it on a man; in my mind, it highlights femininity with its sweetness, creaminess, and sensuality. It opens with a glorious, creamy ylang-ylang, bergamota passes quickly, and then comes a powdery accord with a stench, the rose almost imperceptible. Minutes later, something very provocative and animalistic that comes and goes, I don’t know if it’s castoreum or civet, but it gives that sensual halo. Suddenly, the myrrh with its sweetness and slight smokiness, and that sandalwood, what a marvel. I also sense vanilla, but not for very hot days.
Oh my god, this is so addictive and aphrodisiac.
Nice perfume, but unfortunately it doesn’t last well and leaves no trail; it’s only noticeable up close. How can people rate the longevity and sillage so highly if that’s not the case? At least don’t scam me. I bought the decant at Zona Perfumes, and the price is high for the low quality.
Psychedelic Love: Floral opening soaked in ylang-ylang and bergamot. The heart maintains the ylang, adds a powdery heliotrope and a Bulgarian rose that takes over the middle phase. The dry down is defined by a purpuric floral dominated by rose over a base of sweet sandalwood and myrrh. Projection is about six hours, longevity ten to twelve. Conclusion: a bouquet floral aroma where the rose leads. Very pleasant evolution, like a walk through a floral garden that ends in a corner to rest with burning sandalwood and myrrh. With occasional powdery and almond notes, it can be overwhelming at times but doesn’t tire or saturate. Without a doubt, one of the best florals I’ve enjoyed.
Psychedelic Love: Opens with a floral burst of ylang-ylang soaked in bergamot. The heart keeps the ylang-ylang going, adds powdery heliotrope, and a Bulgarian rose that dominates the mid-stage. Dry-down: a powdery floral dominated by rose over a sweet base of sandalwood and myrrh. Projection and longevity: about 6 hours of projection and 10-12 hours of longevity. Verdict: it’s a floral bouquet led by rose. It has a very pleasant evolution, like a walk through a floral garden where you finally find a quiet corner to rest while a bit of sandalwood and myrrh smolders. With occasional powdery and almond notes, it can be overwhelming at times, but it never tires or saturates. Definitely one of the best florals I’ve enjoyed.
As an Initio lover, this perfume is addictive. It’s unisex, leaning slightly feminine, but the dry-down is amazing: a blend of sea and heat. With all its notes, you become a true aroma lover, and I’ve received many compliments.
I’ve used it again and confirm what I said: a low-quality perfume that’s way too expensive. Paying that much for something that doesn’t last or leave a trail isn’t justified. I’ve tried two from this brand, and both were disappointing.
I can’t give more details because I tested it on blotter paper, which I usually avoid since I prefer to see how it evolves on skin. Here I detect almond and vanilla, though in small doses and very well balanced. There’s an accord that gave me away, making me think of Pegasus and then my all-time favorite, Hypnotic Poison. They don’t resemble each other, but they share something. It’s creamy; the heliotrope (which I love) becomes floral and talcum-like with the heavy stuff and a very subtle ylang-ylang, neither solar nor indolic. Creamy sandalwood, slightly milky, peeks through in the background, reinforcing the sweetness of that undeclared vanilla and a dusty almond note. Next time, I’ll definitely test it on skin to see which notes stand out more. It’s my kind of composition, though it might sound very feminine to many.
I ordered it based on the reviews, and when I opened it, I was blown away: it smells a lot like Black Phantom. I tested it on my skin, and everyone said the same thing. Typical of the PH family, I guess.
I ordered it based on reviews and when it arrived, I opened it; to my surprise, it reminded me a lot of another perfume, Black Phantom. I tested it on skin and yes, everyone said it was Black Phantom. Things of the ph.
At first, it hit me hard; I sense an incense that isn’t listed, or perhaps it’s that myrrh dominating the opening. But once it settles on the skin, it becomes totally floral. The white florals are tangled with rose and heliotrope, which feels heavy at first, but the dry-down is gorgeous. Don’t buy this blindly; you need to understand it to appreciate it from start to finish.
Psychedelic Love is an opulent dream from Initio: floral yet full of attitude thanks to that myrrh and sandalwood that refuse to leave you indifferent. The blend is elegant and powerful, and the best part is its incredible longevity—it lasts all day and lingers in the room. It’s a hidden gem from the house that deserves more recognition. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
