Descripción

Pasion Choco by Nishane is an oriental vanilla fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2013, this composition was created by perfumer Jorge Lee. The top notes unfold with the freshness of passion fruit, coffee, and grapefruit; the heart reveals the depth of dark chocolate, orchid, coriander, and linden flower; while the base notes land with the warmth of vanilla, black musk, benzoin, and patchouli.

Beautiful. More passion than chocolate. Despite the intense notes (chocolate, coffee, patchouli), the tropical-floral side (passion fruit, orchid) wins for me, making it ideal for heat, summer, or spring. I see it more as a daytime scent than a nighttime one, and it smells totally unisex. The longevity is very good, typical of Nishane; in fact, you can tell the high concentration of essences in its oily character (be careful with white clothes). The sillage is good, though the projection isn’t very high; it stays consistent from the start, creating an aura that’s only noticeable up close. Straight to my wishlist!

Passion with chocolate (for me, coffee with chocolate). It didn’t hit me as I expected; I didn’t know it would be so creamy and summery. It opens very earthy and resinous, with maximum bitter cocoa, and as for the passion fruit… barely noticeable. I don’t feel a single floral note; it evolves very little and stays just as it starts. Very boring. The quality is incredible and the longevity is insane; it gets embedded in the skin and won’t budge until you rub it off, I suppose that’s because Nishane bottles them like extracts, which is a plus. It also has a good trail. In summary, I like the scent even if I’m not wild about it, but I admit it’s pretty. I’d say it leans more masculine. It’s like a short espresso shot with chocolate syrup.

  • It opens juicy and sparkling, with a touch of grapefruit that barely hints at what follows. But after two minutes, it envelops you in the warmth of dark chocolate and coffee, with a hint of spice. The catch is that on my skin, the passion fruit fades within an hour, leaving a sweet but somewhat simple scent reminiscent of sotolon, that lactone found in brown sugar. I agree with FranSeatJones; it gets boring and you don’t notice any floral notes. The trail is moderate, but the longevity is brutal, lasting about 9 to 10 hours. For me, it’s unisex. I’m not sure if it’s for winter because of the coffee or summer because of the fruit—maybe cool August nights or autumn? It popped onto my wishlist out of pure joy. Scent: 6/10, Longevity: 9/10, Sillage: 7/10, Value: 6.5/10, Versatility: 5/10, Packaging: 8.5/10. Would I buy it again? I haven’t purchased it yet.

So handsome! From the very first second, it’s a passion fruit that makes you wait for what’s coming, and boy, does it deliver, because it smells better and better with every passing moment. Highly recommended.
