To be honest, the first time I smelled it I thought it was for an older lady, but I bought it because I needed a perfume. As the days passed, I started to get used to it. It’s a very rich scent, I recommend it to a girl with personality, it’s a scent you can’t find anywhere (if you like lavender, this is for you). The only thing I didn’t like is that it fades very quickly, so I use it only for special occasions. On my skin it lasts quite a while, but you have to keep in mind that it doesn’t work with all skin types. A little tip: put a little vaseline on the places where you plan to apply the perfume.
Sorry to Rihanna fans and those who like this perfume. It’s one of the most horrible perfumes I’ve ever heard. It smells very strong. Horrible… I don’t know if it’s my pH. When I tested it on white blotter I liked it, but when I applied it to skin all the notes turned. It became a disaster… I suppose it will suit someone older better. It made me dizzy, gave me nausea and urge to vomit. It’s sweet but it’s too much… I guess its longevity must be good because it’s very strong and strong perfumes usually last quite a while. For me it could suffocate anyone if we were in the same elevator. If you like sweets, this will be very strong. If you prefer fresh florals, forget it. Don’t buy it without trying, it will be a perfume you either love or hate from the first moment.
I like this fragrance. I used it for a while last year. A little too much chocolate and coffee for my taste, but still very pleasant. I had the bad habit of spraying it on my dog after a bath. My boyfriend didn’t like that I did that. Lol!
This perfume is very different from everything I own. On me, it smells like sugary chocolate and the weird part is that no woman asks me what I’m wearing, but every time I use it, men stop to ask. It’s never happened to me before, something must appeal to men a lot. If you like strong fragrances, I recommend Rebelle, great longevity and excellent fixation.
I’m laughing reading the comments because it happens to many like it happened to me. When they showed it to me after smelling it a lot, I loved it instantly and bought it. It was very different and strong, but I liked it. That night, after showering, something happened… I hated it! Haha I even looked up articles about rancid perfumes and asked my husband if it didn’t smell weird, and he said no, that he liked it. That night was terrible but… the next day I woke up and smelled it again and I LOVED IT! Haha It’s weird, but to date I like it a lot. It smells like on a fresh summer day in a house full of plants, cookies and coffee are baking, a perfume that gives unique experiences.
Its scent is almost identical to Taylor Swift’s Incredible Things, but much softer. I don’t detect cocoa or strawberry, it smells more like suede and musk. A somewhat mature scent.
I see we all go through the same thing, haha. Rebelle is a very unique perfume, it gives special experiences and is different from everything I own. As a fan of heavy gourmands with chocolate, strawberry, and coffee notes, it went straight to my wishlist. I was intrigued because the reviews were love-hate. I tested it on blotter (big mistake) and loved it, bought it instantly. At home… ????. I didn’t like it. It was strong, masculine, spicy, and mature. I didn’t know what I did wrong. Now I wake up, smell it, and… I love it! You can taste the coffee with chocolate and strawberry, very creamy. The masculinity disappears and it becomes sexy, spicy but super sweet. It’s risky, changes a lot over time. Longevity: over 12 hours, a beast. Sillage: super strong, a bit and it smells like the whole house. Rebelle is unique, strong but sweet and sexy. Don’t buy it blindly or test it on blotter, only your skin will tell if you like it. Value is enviable, could be from a big house. Haven’t rated it yet, want to see how it goes. Dec 17 Update: After three days, the opening is horrible, the plum and strawberry are fine but the ginger… god no! It turns the opening into something masculine and spicy. But thank god it fades quickly and lowers the spices to give way to a dark chocolate with rich coffee. The scent changes depending on the person or temperature, watch out for that. It could be for women or brave men. I still search for the right moment to use it because it’s a bit too mature for me. I liked it but wouldn’t buy it again. 8/10. Oct 17 Update: Honestly, it never fully appealed to me, I used it once and gifted it to my mom, it’s not for me.
I loved it! It lasts 24 hours on skin and weeks on clothes. Don’t underestimate it just because it’s a celebrity scent; it’s potent and has an insane sillage. Dry down reminds me of delicious tiramisu, that chocolate and coffee mix fascinated me. The amber and patchouli give it character. Reminds me of Thierry Mugler’s Angel in terms of longevity, it’s rich. I’ll be buying it again.
I love it. Smells like bitter chocolate with a fruity touch and lots of patchouli. If you like chocolate perfumes, this is highly recommended. It has luxurious longevity and sillage.
Rihanna caught me with this fragrance again. It’s a delicious gourmand, one of the least cloying ones I’ve tried. So rich with strawberry, cocoa, and coffee on full blast. Smells super sexy and cozy, straight into my favorites. Scent 8/10, longevity 7/10, sillage 7/10, value 8/10, versatility 7/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
Scent: 6/10, Longevity: 7/10, Sillage: 8/10. Would I buy it again? No.
Rebelle was a blind buy; I went along with the reviews and videos. Conclusion: if you’re looking for coffee, cocoa, and sweet notes, this could be your thing. But nobody tells you the opening is masculine or unisex and super strong. As it dries, the cocoa and vanilla emerge—a tender, soft fragrance, which is what you’re looking for. However, I recommend testing it before buying blind; it shouldn’t be like this.
This is a very peculiar perfume. The opening is strange and strong, feeling rough and almost masculine with a weird touch. I think it’s too patchouli. The curious thing is that after hours, it becomes totally sweet, pure chocolate, super delicious and sexy. You leave a chocolate scent wherever you go. No other perfume is like it.
The opening is very intense, but within minutes it smells like strawberries covered in chocolate… Delicious!
I love it. It’s sweet and spicy, reminding me of Lolita Lempicka.
At first, I found it very strong, like those ‘old lady’ perfumes, but I’m starting to like it more. After that intense opening, it softens and you can taste delicious chocolate with fruits.
At first, I notice a lot of cocoa, but it disappears on my skin as it dries. It feels original; I’ve never heard it on anyone else. At first, it smells like cardboard with glue, but that vanishes almost instantly, leaving a rare perfume—somewhat synthetic but I like it. Thanks for offering the small bottle.
This perfume is simply delicious. I hesitated to buy it blind because of comments saying it’s strong and unisex, but that’s not the case. It’s extremely feminine and sexy. I’ve used it quite a bit and have no regrets; I’ll buy it again when it’s gone.
Delicious, feminine, and potent fragrance. It has a sweet opening like creamy strawberry caramel with chocolate and coffee—so rich! It changes your vibe and spreads good humor. On me, it smells like rum and Coke when I work out and get hot. The trail and longevity are optimal. When it runs out, I’ll definitely repurchase.
Bought it blind and initially thought I wouldn’t like it, but now it’s one of my favorites. It smells super sexy after wearing it for a few weeks.
Finally, I have it. I think Rihanna’s perfumes are wonderful; they have sillage and longevity even at a low cost, and they mix and recycle components. This one is Rouge, sweet and sugary, and smells phenomenal. It has that masculine touch that Rouge possesses, but it has an extra sweetness from the chocolate that balances it quite well. That sweetness seems similar to Riri and possesses the plum note found in Kiss. Highly recommended.
It seems to have a slight resemblance to Police to be the queen. I liked it; not cloying with a hint of dulce de leche. I can still smell it after 5 hours, especially on clothes. I was pleasantly surprised.
#NovemberPMX Day 12: Rihanna’s Rebelle combines cacao, coffee, patchouli, ginger, and amber, categorized as Floral/Fruity/Gourmand. I decided to buy it blind and it was a hit. It’s potent, sexy, and dark. Among its notes are heliotrope, orchid, plum, and strawberry, which I only perceive through their sweetness, but I don’t detect them independently. Heavy trail, lasting over 10 hours on skin and clothes, unisex-feminine, with excellent price and quality. It’s the only celebrity perfume that fascinates me and that my husband enjoys when I wear it. I recommend it completely if you like its 5 main notes and strong oriental gourmand scents that aren’t cloying.
In my opinion, it’s not a perfume for everyone; you might like it more or less, but undeniable is its great quality-to-price ratio. Personally, I like it. It’s a combination we’ve seen before, gourmand + patchouli, but at the same time different, not resembling any other excessively. On the dry down, after many hours, it reminds me of the smell of argan oil. It has a super sharp opening, but it softens quite a bit in a few minutes. Moderate projection and high longevity on skin (lasts days and days on clothes). I like it both for going out and staying in; it’s quite a sexy but also cozy scent. I think if you are gourmand lovers and patchouli doesn’t bother you, you’ll probably like it a lot.
The opening is horrible; to me, it smells like dry wood, but the dry-down is spectacular. I perceive it as sensual with woody and smoky notes, even though it doesn’t list woods. That wood turns sweet and sensual with the vanilla. In my opinion, it’s for evening wear. It might feel a bit masculine at times, but I like it. When I wear it, I feel sensual. I love it, though I wouldn’t buy it blindly. I also detect a hint of bitter coffee. It’s a good fragrance with excellent accords for the price.
Personally, I didn’t like it at all; it feels too masculine for my taste… I ended up giving it away, what a pity, I had high expectations. But it’s not for me… On the other hand, I quite like Reb’l fleur.
I bought this blind and was terrified, but I have to say… it’s exquisite! It smells so much like chocolate. I’ve been wanting a perfume like this for so long. It didn’t feel strong at all, and I have a very sensitive nose. Nothing overpowering, just a lot of chocolate, coffee, and strawberry. Right after spraying, I swear my eyes go back; it smells so good I want to eat it, like a spicy chocolate with a hint of whiskey and something creamy. The dry down smells like mint chocolate, with a super balanced sweetness, nothing cloying. I find it super versatile; maybe not for every single day, but perfect for nights, days, dates, and all weather with reasonable summer temperatures. I find it incredibly sexy. It doesn’t seem masculine to me; maybe people say that because it’s not a sugar bomb… it’s a beautifully crafted gourmand, and if it weren’t by Rihanna, it would sell more. Anyway, lately, few perfumes seem “masculine” to me; the gender classification based on sweetness seems more and more banal. P.S.: I also owned Reb’l fleur. I had it at 16 and thought it smelled good but was too strong, always uncomfortable because I never knew where to apply it. Rebelle doesn’t smell anything like Reb’l, but it’s much more wearable for me.
Elegant and sensual like Tom Ford’s Noir. In my country it’s very affordable, and I’m surprised it’s not talked about by everyone. It’s such a pleasant fragrance that I disagree with those who compare it to the nauseating Angel. It’s 1,000,000 times superior.
The opening is powerful but fades fast; in the dry-down it has a slight resemblance to Avon’s Faraway, a creamy scent. It lacks good sillage and stays close to the skin. On me, it lasts about 5 hours but very softly; it doesn’t project much, only noticeable if someone gets very close. Still, for the price, it’s not bad. I recommend it for spring and summer because in winter it gets lost due to poor projection.
I liked it and have no regrets, even though the opening is a bit sharp and spicy with lots of ginger. It dries down quickly and smells delicious, like cinnamon coffee with a hint of chocolate. It’s unique and special; I’ve never smelled anything like it, which is a big plus. The only downside is that it doesn’t last very long, especially with December’s cold and my super acidic skin, though I think it would perform well on normal skin.
Having tried this perfume, I agree with many of the opinions. It’s a scent that can scare people with its opening; I perceive it as a heavy patchouli slap… which lasts throughout the life of the perfume but softens after an hour and becomes more of a base for the fragrance than anything else in that stage. Once that first slap passes, the strawberry arrives, which I feel as very creamy, like a smoothie with chocolate, something like a strawberry-flavored chocolate milk I used to drink when I was a child, honestly delicious. I agree that it shares a lot of similarity with Angel, but not the original, if not the flanker Angel Muse (which came out after Rebelle), of course, with very low longevity and short sillage; you have to get close for them to be felt. The longevity on my skin was 40 minutes projecting around the width of my arm and then dropping off dramatically to fade away by 3 hours. But for the price you can get it for, it doesn’t hurt to reapply during the day.
I agree with many reviews that this perfume has a very strong and quite unpleasant ginger blast in the opening; after about 10 minutes, the perfume starts transforming into strawberries with chocolate, which is delicious!! Excellent longevity! In my opinion, it’s better for winter, and you need to be careful with the sprays. I don’t think it’s a perfume to buy blindly. At first, I wasn’t smitten, but little by little, it has won me over, and now I love it.
It just arrived, and I’ve just tried it. Strong opening! Piercing, slightly spiced… I recognize the plum, and even more so the ginger. It starts to sweeten as it dries down, but I feel those piercing notes from the opening are still present. I sense it’s a mature, resolved scent; I don’t feel it’s youthful at all… somewhere between a bit sweet and heavy, with the sweetness of cacao and coffee. I’m not sure yet if the fragrance is a nostalgic “refreshed” aroma with these gourmand notes, something more unisex, or… I need to wear it more to understand it better and will update! For now, it hasn’t fully convinced me. — Edited this review because I truly LOVE this fragrance now. I’m obsessed every day I wear it. I haven’t stopped using it for the past few days. Fruits with cream and chocolate in a syrup of vanilla and patchouli. I agree with other reviews that the dry-down is the best part, and also, its longevity is extremely low. I’ll try to give it more punch by layering it with a longer-lasting base fragrance, like Choco Violet, Chocolate Greedy, or Choco Musk from Al Haramain, hoping to add more persistence and durability… otherwise, I’ll have to reapply every hour! It’s turned out to be a very addictive fragrance.
The opening is spicy, probably due to the ginger, which I never smell again after the first minute. Then come the strawberries wrapped in whipped chocolate cream with a hint of coffee and a sweetness I perceive as plum. I swear it has nutmeg, even though it’s not listed, but I can practically smell it from start to finish, though it becomes very faint by the end. It’s spiced and sexy. I’m wearing it in late spring, almost summer, with temperatures around 25°, and it’s so creamy and delicious.
I’m not one to buy celebrity perfumes, but many influencers say it’s a great scent. I was looking for an aroma where coffee and chocolate stood out, which is why I wanted it, but for some reason, I didn’t dare. Finally, I have it. The opening isn’t pleasant; I didn’t like the prominence of the fruits (strawberry and plum) that seem to shout “here we are.” This scent lasts many minutes on my skin. When the second phase begins, yes, there’s chocolate and coffee, both subtle because what stands out is THE PATCHOULI. If you’re looking for chocolate and coffee, it could be an option; it’s a proposal that might appeal to lovers of sweet perfumes. It’s one of the few celebrity scents I own, and I only wear it in December because I associate it with party nights and fun. A hit is its excellent longevity, over ten hours, and the fact that using it earns compliments from the opposite sex; they love smelling this scent on a woman.
REBELLE: I’d heard Rihanna’s perfumes were standing out in the current market, and it seemed plausible since I had an excellent experience with Rogue. I kept that in mind, and today, downtown in Santiago, I remembered that and picked up three testers at a modest price: Rebelle, Reb’L Fleur, and Reb L’Fleur Love Always. So much enthusiasm because I have a soft spot for plum, and if it’s paired with patchouli, even better. Since Decadence, Very Irresistible L’Intense, and Kenzo World Intense were discontinued, I’ve been craving that accord. They say you should start with moderate expectations to be surprised, which is reasonable. In the case of Rebelle, it has more body than expected. I don’t perceive it as fruity: what I notice most is cacao, coffee, and patchouli. My impression is that it doesn’t clash with me: a mature woman for work and social situations where you need resolve and poise. I need to test it in different temperatures and scenarios, but for now, I’d love to wear it frequently, leaving Opium and Cocó for special occasions. Of course, I’d appreciate more sillage and longevity: only people sitting next to me smell it, and I can feel it for about 6 hours. For these times, it’s a solid performance, especially considering my dry skin “swallows” high-end, mid-range, and commercial scents without distinction, with exceptions. Personally, I recommend it for a woman over 30, with character and a bold attitude. Great for evening, but perfectly fine for daytime if you want to project presence and stature. In summary: a fantastic purchase. Greetings from Chile!
I don’t get why people say this is strong; I find it very soft. Smell bad? Absolutely not. It doesn’t smell like anything annoying, just chocolate 🍫. I was a bit disappointed by its sillage; I expected something more potent, but for the price, it’s super good.
It has a strong, complex opening that might scare some people off, but the dry-down is DELICIOUS—rich and exquisite. Those strawberries with chocolate are so real and exquisite, plus it has great longevity; it doesn’t feel like a celebrity fragrance.
At first, it smells like grandma, but once it dries down, it’s just patchouli. I didn’t detect the cacao, strawberry, or anything else listed; it was just that heavy patchouli scent. I’ll update my review later to see if it changes with time, but for now, it wasn’t what I expected. Update: It still smells like patchouli, now with more ginger. As I said, total disappointment. I thought it would be sweet, but it’s not. I even tried it on my mom (she has softer skin and everything smells sweet on her), and it was the same. Nothing changes. Advice: Don’t buy it, don’t waste your money on this knockoff.
I grabbed this from the collection to give it another shot, and it was a total win. It’s addictive; I love that blend of fruits wrapped in chocolate, coffee, and patchouli. Now it’s one of my go-to scents for nights out with the girls. P.S. I wrote a review years ago that didn’t do it justice, which is why I’m commenting again.
