Hi! This beauty has arrived: Oui, Eau de Parfum d’Exception. The box and bottle are in a shimmering rose-gold, just like the Christmas edition but in gold. If you love the LVEB line, you’ll adore this. It feels like the perfect blend of Intense and L’Eclat. At first, it smells of raspberry—that trendy scent also found in Chanel’s Little Red Shoes. Then the other notes emerge: vanilla and orange blossom. It’s like an opulent cousin to the others; the spray texture is almost oily, and I’ve worn it for over six hours already. Lancôme perfumes always last long on me. You can tell it’s not the original; it has body and personality. Some might see it as too derivative, but it fits the line and captures the best of the family.
I spent years searching for a sweet scent that wasn’t synthetic or sticky, and I finally found it: it’s exquisite!
This fragrance completely changed my perception of LVEB… In the first version, I felt it was musty, but by God, Oui… it exceeded all my expectations! I received a sample this week when I bought three perfumes blind, and it was the best pleasant surprise. It will be my next signature scent. Longevity ETERNAL.
I tried it today and it’s divine—more modern and agile than the original. Very feminine, fruity, and enigmatic. It lasts a long time and is charming. I’ll be buying it; this will be my first Oui.
For me, this Oui is a resounding ‘no’.
This Oui is one of those flankers I like: you recognize something of the original, but it’s very blurred and feels different. It reminds me of LVEB, but at times I think they have nothing in common, at least until the end. The greatest similarity is in the base, although it never gets as sugary as the original. Oui is much lighter, cheerier, and sparklier than the rest of the range. It starts with queen bergamot, then becomes fruity with a juicy raspberry, while the patchouli and praline tone down and appear at the end. It’s a gentle composition, less risky and perhaps more generic, but very pleasant. Compared to LVEB, where the praline and patchouli dominate making it heavy and intense, here it’s different. LVEB Intense also has raspberry, but they’re different: Oui is more fruity and juicy, while Intense is more powdery and dense. Oui’s sillage is moderate and in the final hours it stays close to the skin. It lasts about 8-9 hours, maybe less than the original but more than the Intense version. It fixes much better on clothes; even the next day, if I work out or it’s hot, it projects again. The fixation is more than acceptable. In conclusion, I liked it and it has good quality. It’s nothing groundbreaking, so I didn’t buy it, but it’s a good perfume with correct performance, perfect for warm months if you love LVEB. If I had it, I’d wear it gladly. Smell 7.5/10, Longevity 8.5/10, Sillage 6.5/10, Value 7/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Would I buy it again? I didn’t buy it.
This Oui is the kind of flanker I like: it nods to the original but is very distinct and different. It recalls LVEB, but at times they seem unrelated except for the dry-down. The most similar phase is the base, though it never gets as sugary. Oui is much lighter, cheerier, and spikier than the others. Bergamot rules at the start, followed by juicy fruity notes, with patchouli and praline appearing at the end. It’s friendly, less risky, and perhaps a bit generic, but very pleasant. Compared to LVEB, the praline-patchouli combo makes this feel heavier and sweeter. In LVEB Intense there’s also raspberry, but they’re very different: Oui is fruitier and juicier, while Intense is more powdery and dense. Oui’s sillage is moderate and stays close to the skin at the end. It lasts about 8-9 hours—less than the original but more than the Intense version. It fixes well on clothes and still projects the next day if it’s hot. Fixation is acceptable. In conclusion, I liked it; it’s good quality. It’s not groundbreaking or novel, so I won’t be buying it, but it’s a nice perfume, perfect for warm months if you love LVEB. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 8.5/10, Sillage 6.5/10, Value 7/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Would I buy again? No, I didn’t.
I thought a lot before buying it. The scent is very fruity and noticeable on my skin. I was worried about the longevity since I’d been told it doesn’t last more than an hour, but yesterday when I applied it, I noticed the fruity phase projected for a good while. Focusing on the evolution, I noticed the fusion with the heart and that beautiful iris that marks it as LVEB. It’s different, lighter, but no less elegant. I wore it for over 12 hours, showered, and changed clothes, and the perfume (softer) transferred to the clean garment. Smelling it today, the longevity and evolution are excellent. Yes, it doesn’t smell exactly like the classic, but it doesn’t fall behind in quality. Here in Argentina, it’s winter, so I’m waiting for warm weather to see its splendor. I’m glad I bought it; only three units were left, it’s a limited edition, and it came with a gold bracelet. I think it’s enjoyed well in the cold, but I’ll wait for the heat to see how it reacts. My skin devours fragrances and this resists perfectly. I’ll update when it gets warmer.
For me, this Oui is a resounding success.
La Vie Est Belle Oui is pure vitality, literally saying ‘yes to everything.’ It starts sparkling with pink pepper and refreshing bergamot, ending in mature roses over a dense patchouli. It was a beautiful gift for my 26th birthday and describes the joviality and impulsiveness of a young woman, though the patchouli gives an aristocratic touch for women over 35. It’s for a smiling, strong woman without losing delicacy. Every time I wear it, men look at me, especially at first. It’s brought me many compliments (9/10), lasts about 5 hours with moderate sillage. Very versatile, wearable year-round.
L’Vest Belle Oui is pure energy, a ‘yes’ to everything that crosses its path. It starts sparkling with pink pepper and refreshing bergamota, closing with mature roses over a dense patchouli. It was the perfect gift for my 26th birthday, capturing that youthful joy and strength of a young woman; although the patchouli could feel too serious for those over 35. Ideal for someone who is smiling and strong without losing delicacy. Every time I wear it, men look at me, especially when I step out. It has brought many compliments (9/10), lasts about 5 hours with good sillage (8/10). It’s super versatile for all seasons.
I love it. Although the sillage isn’t like the original, it’s moderate, but the longevity is great—about 9 hours, even longer on clothes. It smells sweet and fruity, with a solid base thanks to the iris and patchouli. It’s my type of perfume; I don’t own the original because everyone has it, and I hate something that’s so mass-produced.
I love it! Although the sillage isn’t like the original, this one has a moderate trail, but the longevity is good, about 9 hours, even longer on clothes. I smell it as sweet and fruity, with a great base thanks to the iris and patchouli. I love it; it’s my type of perfume. I don’t own the original because everyone has it and I dislike something so overused.
I love it! It’s a softer version than the original, which is one of my all-time favorites. This new LVEB is perfect for daytime: sweet but not overwhelming, a friendlier version for those around you. It performs well, as is customary for Lancôme and especially this line. Love at first sniff and it persists; excellent purchase.
An absolute yes! The original Vie Est Belle always bothered me, which is why I didn’t try the flankers until now. I tried several and Vie En Rose and Oui dazzled me, and in the end, I settled on Oui. At first, I smell bergamot, pink pepper, iris, and patchouli. All together, I love it. Then the pepper recedes, softens, and leaves a sweet, warm trail with barely any rose and a hint of raspberry. It has the DNA of the original but is so delicate and wearable, much more versatile. I wear it in summer because it’s light yet substantial. Super happy! Longevity lasts until the end of time.
Spectacular. Totally spectacular, super feminine and sweet. A 15-year-old girl could wear it without any issues. In my opinion, it retains about 30% of the original Vie Est Belle.
The undisputed king of the LVEB line. It keeps the soul of the classic but adds a fruity, sparkling twist that saves it. The raspberry shines at full volume, cheerful and juicy, very much in the style of Angel Nova. The longevity and sillage are brutal. If I have to keep just one from the entire collection, this is it without a doubt.
My favorite of all the LVEBs. It has the DNA of the classic but is much fruitier and spikier. The raspberry is very noticeable and I love it: it’s cheerful, juicy, in the style of Angel Nova. Longevity and sillage are impressive. If I had to keep just one, I’d choose this without a doubt.
