I’m obsessed with this perfume. It’s super original, perfect if you want to step away from gourmands or intense florals. The longevity is top-notch, lasting between eight and ten hours. The scent isn’t overpowering and works great in the office. Zara discontinued it, and I was heartbroken to throw away my bottle, but they brought it back under a new name: ‘Red Sun Dunes’. Warning: it’s not ‘Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes’; that one smells completely different. I don’t get why they change the name if it’s identical and give it something so similar to their best-seller. But hey, the important thing is we can get it again, even if the bottle and sprayer aren’t as nice.
I love this perfume. I find it very original, ideal if you want to move away from gourmands or hyper-florals. The longevity is excellent, lasting between eight and ten hours. The scent isn’t overwhelming and can be worn comfortably in the office. Zara discontinued it, and I was sad to waste my bottle, but they brought it back under a new name: ‘Red Sun Dunes’. Just a heads-up, it’s not ‘Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes’; that one goes in a totally different direction. Honestly, I don’t understand why they change the name when they bring it back (they’re exactly the same) and give it a name so similar to one of their most famous perfumes. But anyway, the important thing is we can get it again, even if the bottle and sprayer are less appealing.
A finer leather, even the aroma feels a bit ‘irony’ to me, though there’s no such note listed, and no, it has nothing to do with the name. I didn’t notice the other listed notes. Still, it could be an interesting option.
The notes don’t match up, as usually happens with Zara perfumes, but when I tried it, it reminded me of something, and when I grabbed my Penhaligon’s Cairo at home, of course it did! Obviously, it lacks the full character at first, but the dry-down is practically identical. I’m going to buy 3 or 4 bottles; at this price, it’s a brutal dupe to wear my favorite perfume every day. I love Zara.

Every skin is different, and mine is complicated, but it performed great and the longevity convinced me. It’s a gem (in my opinion), though I don’t recommend it blindly because it’s very unisex.
