I received a sample of this with an order for another perfume and I felt it very floral and super synthetic, smells like cheap perfume, wouldn’t buy it.

Watery and simple. Nothing like the DNA of Mon Guerlain EDP. I agree with La DameDeNoir that it’s the Joy of Guerlain. A pity or a shame? I can’t decide.

I have the habit of testing all these abominations thanks to the samples given when I buy. This one specifically is an orange rose water, medium sweet-sour, floral, with an air between ozonic, sugary, and fruity. The overall finish is something that should cost twelve euros and already be expensive, because that’s what it smells like: a drugstore cologne type Shakira, Paula Echevarría, or Dulceida. They tell me the Excelsa Guerlain will in the future dedicate itself to selling mediocre colognes, and I can’t believe it.

I usually test all these abominations with the samples they give me when I buy. This is a rose and orange water, half sweet-sour, floral, with an ozonic, sugary, and fruity vibe. The dry down smells like something that should cost twelve euros and would already be expensive, because that’s what it smells like: to a drugstore cologne type like Shakira, Paula Echevarría, or Dulceida. They told me as a kid that the future Guerlain would be dedicated to selling mediocre colognes, and I can’t believe it.

  • The first time I smelled it, I thought it was just another rose perfume to carry on… I made a mental note that I was indifferent (in fact, my review of the Mon EDP stated that). But a few days ago a friend shared a sample, and yesterday I tried it. The truth is, I had to check the database to confirm if it was the same because it seemed like I was smelling a different perfume. In the opening, yes, it has an intense contribution of young, fresh roses, nothing too surprising or particular… But as it starts to dry down and settle, the same lavender+sandalwood+vanilla base of the Mon EDP appears, but this time with a bath of mature roses, softly sweet, adding a velvet touch. Definitely less sweet than the Mon EDP, and without that patchouli-sweetened-to-Flowerbomb ending of the EDP that I don’t like much. Today I’ll do a side-by-side comparison, but I was very surprised. Now I think before buying the Florale, which is so similar to the EDP, I should consider this one, which will probably be easier for me to use in daily life.

  • A friend was kind enough to share 3ml with me; I’m a Guerlain fanatic, and after smelling it at duty-free, I became obsessed. I used up the 3ml since they told me it was weak on performance, and that’s how I managed 10+ hours. Now my impressions: the first two hours I felt it fresher than the original, with an acidic rose and a base of lavender and vanilla. As it dried down, I felt it quite similar to the Mon Guerlain EDP, though weaker. Two people asked me about the fragrance, but I think if you spray 3ml of anything, they’ll ask. The truth is, thanks to this sample, I saved myself from buying a fragrance I now find irrelevant; I prefer to wait to find a Mon Guerlain EDP at a good price to restock.

  • Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose smells good, with citrus, lavender, and rose very present. As it dries late, after about three hours, although it’s already low, I notice the jasmine. It’s a fresh and energizing fragrance for summer. It’s an EDT I’ll enjoy but won’t repurchase, as it didn’t turn out to be very special and the performance isn’t great. Luckily, I bought it super cheap on sale thanks to a friend who loves it. It has moderate sillage and lasts about 4 hours on my skin. I use it right after showering to accompany me during breakfast and working from home, then I reapply something more persistent later. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 4/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for Money 4/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy it again? No.

  • Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose smells pleasant, with citrus, lavender, and rose very prominent. Late drydown, after about three hours, though it’s already fading, I perceive some jasmine. It’s fresh and energizing for summer days. That said, I see it as an EDT I’ll enjoy but won’t repurchase, as it wasn’t very special to me and doesn’t have great performance. Luckily, I bought it for a steal on sale after a friend recommended it to her who loves it. It has moderate sillage and lasts about 4 hours on my skin. I use it after showering and it accompanies me during breakfast and remote work; then I reapply something with more persistence. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 4/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 4/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy again? No.

Since I’m addicted to blind buys, this one came out okay. I read and saw several reviews with low expectations, thinking it would just be a simple citrus-rose for spring-summer, and nothing more. But it did surprise me. I don’t feel it’s one-note or ordinary. It starts with a very refreshing citrus punch that gives you an energy boost; a few seconds later, the rose appears—a beautiful rose, as if smelling it directly from the bush. Of course, as it dries down, you notice the neroli and vanilla, and the lavender stays present from the start, keeping the DNA very much in the background of the Mon Guerlain EDP. I find it so delicate and feminine that I love it. Although the citrus is potent and it’s better for warm weather, I’d use it year-round; it brings me calm and tranquility like the EDP, plus it doesn’t overwhelm anyone. A beautiful perfume for an elegant woman who dresses simply. Although I don’t know the whole line, I’d bet that all of them maintain that elegance and beauty. Anyway, no flanker will dethrone the original. I recommend it to rose lovers who aren’t huge lavender fans.

Since I’m addicted to blind buys, this perfume came to me like that. I read several reviews and had low expectations, thinking it would be a citrus-rose for spring-summer and nothing more. But it surprised me. I don’t feel anything cheap or ordinary. It opens with a very refreshing citrus blast that gives you an energy boost; a few seconds later, the rose appears, and what a beautiful rose, I’d say I’m smelling it directly from the bush. Its neroli heart and vanilla base are noticeable upon drying, and the lavender stays from the start, keeping the Mon Guerlain EDP DNA at the bottom. I feel so delicate and feminine that I love it. Although the citrus is potent and would be better for warm weather, I’d wear it all year. It conveys calm and tranquility, just like the Mon Guerlain EDP, and I don’t think it will bother anyone. It’s the super-summer, clean version for summer, opening with a burst of citrus and a hint of jasmine and roses; as minutes pass, the roses stand out and a very subtle lavender air is felt, of the versions I’ve tried, this seems to be the one with the least lavender. Its drydown of clean citrusy roses sweetens slightly with a touch of vanilla and then disappears. With such hot summer weather, it’s an ideal shower cologne, revitalizing with that boost of rose and citrus. I like it for these hot days but wouldn’t repurchase, definitely I prefer the EDP. Its longevity is scarce, not passing 3 hours, its sillage is inoffensive. It could be ideal if you’re in small places or very close to people since it wouldn’t bother anyone.

It’s the super-summer, clean version for hot weather. Opens with a burst of citrus and hints of jasmine and roses; over time, the roses take the lead with a very subtle lavender note (the version I tried has less lavender than others). As it dries down, the clean citrusy roses sweeten slightly with vanilla before fading. In this summer heat, it’s an ideal shower freshener, a revitalizing boost of rose and citrus. I like it for these days but wouldn’t repurchase; I definitely prefer the EDP. Longevity is scarce, lasting no more than 3 hours, with an inoffensive sillage. It could be ideal if you’re in small spaces or very close to people, since it won’t bother anyone.

  • Ugh, what a fiasco! No character and super low longevity and sillage. I can’t believe it’s a Guerlain product that you may or may not like but fails miserably in fixation. A lot of money and low performance.

  • Ugh, total fiasco. Lacks character, and both longevity and sillage are abysmal. I can’t believe it’s Guerlain; you might like it or not, but it fails miserably in projection. Way too expensive for such poor performance.

The opening is super fresh and aquatic, smelling like roses floating on a fountain. The rose and bergamot last the whole time, and for a few minutes, it doesn’t feel like a flanker of Mon Guerlain. As it dries on the skin, you notice the lavender and vanilla, momentarily. It’s quite peculiar, as if the essence of Mon Guerlain is trapped in a cage of dewy roses trying to escape, gets tired, and lets the roses take over. It has moderate longevity; after the first few hours, the projection drops and it becomes sweeter and more woody. I like it more than other fresh rose perfumes. I feel this is what I wanted Idole by Lancome to be: a rose with more personality and nuances. This flanker is much friendlier for the sun and hot days. I was surprised to feel refreshed; it’s fresh, almost soapy, but elegant. Maybe the rose falls a bit into the category of “mature roses,” but I love it. I prefer the original Mon Guerlain, although it’s not suitable for the hottest days. Overall, I agree: no flanker is better than the original, despite its interesting differences.

  • Sputnikan

The Bloom of Rose opening is very fresh and aquatic; it smells like roses on the surface of a fountain. The rose and bergamot last throughout the life of the perfume, and for a few minutes, it seems it’s not a Mon Guerlain flanker. When the spray has dried on the skin is when I can feel the lavender and vanilla, momentarily. It’s quite peculiar. It’s as if that essence of Mon Guerlain is trapped in a cage of roses full of dew trying to get out but can’t, and that, with the hours, gets tired of insisting and lets the roses do their thing. This Bloom of Rose has moderate longevity on the skin, and after the first few hours, its projection reduces until it stays on the skin, much sweeter and woody. I like it more than other fresh rose perfumes. I feel like this is what I wanted Idole by Lancome to be: a rose with much more personality, flowers with more nuances. This flanker is much friendlier to the sun and hot days. I was very surprised to feel refreshed with this perfume on. It’s quite fresh, almost soapy, but elegant. Maybe the rose in this flanker falls a bit into the category of ‘mature roses’, but I like it a lot. Of course, I prefer the original Mon Guerlain quite a bit, even though it’s not an option for the hottest days of the year. In general, I agree with what many say about Mon Guerlain flankers: none is better than the original, despite their interesting differences.

  • Beyond not understanding why they’d launch flankers for a perfume that isn’t very memorable, whatever it is, I think Guerlain isn’t performing up to par; I’ve tried several recent colognes and nothing, no glory or shame, this is another example. It’s pretty, smells like what it promises, roses, flowers, subtle, something like for stepping out of the shower or before bed. It fixes well, about 4-5 hours, which I think fulfills its purpose as a cologne. It’s a luxury for the price. Scent 8/10 Trail 7/10 Longevity 9/10

When I sentenced that I wouldn’t try any Mon because they all smelled horrendous on my skin… a sample of this gem arrived. I tested it with zero expectations, at home so I could wash my hands quickly if needed, and it pleasantly surprised me. Mon Bloom of Rose EDT opens with a rich citrus explosion that lasts a few seconds before giving way to white flowers, and finally, the dry down is sweet. On my skin, the citrus still feels present throughout its entire development. It reminds me of a Johnson’s baby fragrance but more sophisticated. I liked it so much that I bought it. It’s not a fragrance that blows your mind with originality, but I thought it was perfect for hot days where I want to feel perfumed and fresh.

Very fresh and citrusy opening. It smells 90% like the classic Natura Luna. For summer, versatile but a bit bitter for my taste. Incredibly, I almost don’t smell the rose (very in the background). It lacks vanilla, sugar, honey, or something to sweeten it, haha. After an hour, it’s like a rose and lavender soap; it’s relaxing.

  • They gifted it to me. By the name, I thought I wouldn’t like it, but I was surprised. It’s pleasant and soft; the opening is citrusy, and the vanilla and sandalwood are noticeable right away. There’s something I can’t distinguish, like a slight alcoholic note. Delicate, refined, worthy of a fine woman’s everyday. Not for girls. High longevity; they’ve had to spray it on me a lot. The roses are a very subtle note, almost unnoticeable; it’s a juicy rose but you have to pay close attention to find it. Citrus-floral, elegant, with very interesting notes.

  • A very sophisticated, mystical perfume, but not for everyone or every moment. I think it’s one of the hardest for me to know how to wear because Bulgarian rose isn’t for every occasion or mood. While its citrus notes make it inviting and pleasant, it becomes very potent as it dries down, with the rose coming through mysteriously. It’s the typical perfume associated with liquidity, high society, and at the same time, mystery and suspense. I recommend it more for fresh days than warm ones; its longevity is better in those cases. I don’t recommend buying blindly. It’s not as easy to like as its sibling flanker, Sparkling.

  • I think many people are reviewing the EDP version incorrectly here. This is the EDT, and it’s quite subtle. On my skin, it feels like a soft citrus, probably more orange than lemon, blending homogeneously with a rose, timid lavender, and vanilla, making for a very comforting and personal-use perfume. I imagine it on a mom you want to hug; I wouldn’t call it cute, but there’s something that evokes a delicate, refined, and cheerful person, so most will likely enjoy it. I see it as a daytime perfume, for all seasons and any occasion except formal events. I love it, though I wish it had more projection. 9/10

  • I didn’t have many expectations when I first smelled it, especially regarding the roses, but it’s EXQUISITE once it settles on the skin. Very floral, but with an elegant, expensive smell. The downside is that it doesn’t last long and the trail is tiny; you have to be very close to perceive the aroma. I’ll have to try the EDP, maybe the projection and longevity will be better, but I haven’t found it in Argentina.

  • TíaSarah77

I bought it as something new since I don’t usually use these notes. The citrus opening is super strong and disappears quickly; I hope it’s because it’s an EDT. I plan to get the EDP since it’s definitely an exquisite and elegant scent with presence, so I wish it would last longer on the skin.

My mother’s perfume, a continuation of the classic Mon Guerlain that I already own for the second time. It reminds me of Armani Diamonds. This version is lighter, fresher, and more novel; it’s not as woody as the classic, that typical two-thousand-dollar perfume with a ‘new era’ halo. Just one sniff makes me want to put on a frosty lipstick and go conquer the world 😂. It has a very pleasant fresh floral opening that settles divinely. I notice how the rose goes hand in hand with the others without stealing the spotlight, which is a relief because I hate rose perfumes. Definitely for unpredictable, chilly inter-seasons, like March on the Mediterranean coast, though it’s also ideal for daily wear in big cities with dry, extreme climates. I already wrote about Armani Diamonds, which reminds me a lot of this, though this one is better for the fresh vibe and the other for heat. With it on, I feel at peace in my world, comfortable in my introversion, absorbed in my thoughts, probably thanks to the lavender that starts emanating from my skin after a few minutes. Lavender is a sacred plant to me 💕; I didn’t know we had perfumes with it in the collection. I prefer this version over the classic because it smells more youthful and playful; the other, even if it’s a 10/10 masterpiece, is more for an experienced lady due to that extra touch of incense, more appropriate for my mother’s age.
