Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche Eau de Parfum is a woody oriental fragrance for men. I don’t know what kind of lemon foot Fragrantica users and old YouTube guys eat; I love lemon cakes and have never eaten one that smells like sandalwood and vetiver, which are very present in this perfume. Not as gourmand or as daytime as Dior Homme Cologne. Those notes give it a more elegant and mature facet; the first thing I thought of was my childhood New Year’s parties or Bleu de Chanel. Perfect for day and night, very versatile. Edit: Totally unisex!
No doubt I like it more than EAU Extreme because the tonka bean makes a better team with the citrus and vanilla than with the mint in the Extreme. It feels a bit more peculiar. Lasting power is acceptable, it feels more masculine than unisex, and it’s for cold climates due to the sweetness of the tonka and vanilla. 8.5/10.
This is another level, completely different from anything I’ve worn before. What a gem! It’s my first Chanel and it left me speechless. It’s an oriental that doesn’t look like one, wrapped in a creamy lemon, with sparkling spices and high-quality vanilla. The vetiver and sandalwood are there to keep it from seeming feminine. It radiates energy, good vibes, and happiness. It makes my favorite lemon perfumes, like the floor cleaner, look like Axe, and Dior Homme Sport like laundry detergent. Only Prada L’Homme L’Eau could resist a few rounds, but it would lose. It’s so unique that it generates memories on its own. The performance isn’t beastly but not ridiculous either: it lasts 6-7 hours on skin, projecting for the first two. Those who say it should last longer due to the price ignore that quality is what stands out here. I see it more as spring or autumn than summer; it will surely attract bugs. It’s impossible to beat.
Hi community, I just picked up this fragrance and the scent is very special and noble. It opens with a slightly acidic lemon, then turns sweet, and after 15-20 minutes, the woody vetiver appears, accompanied by vanilla. It’s a clean, noble, and elegant aroma. There’s nothing wrong with the smell, but the performance is extremely weak: it projects for an hour and on skin doesn’t last more than two or three hours, ideal only for mild weather. It’s already heavily reformulated and isn’t new anymore. The community says it smells good but doesn’t mention the terrible performance, which is strange. I don’t recommend it if you want it to be noticeable on a long commute; it won’t project anything and won’t last long on skin. Maybe they’re too embarrassed to say it because they spent a lot on Chanel, but they aren’t being honest. If you buy it, get the small one to test the scent; I don’t recommend the large sizes due to the cost and poor performance.
Allure Édition Blanche EDP is one of my go-to summer favorites, but it doesn’t justify the overpriced tag since it projects so poorly. It smells like a lemon foot, has a masculine and youthful aura (if people notice you), but you have to spray like crazy to make an impression. They say the niche alternative Frapin L’Humaniste is worse, with natural notes but more expensive and short-lived. While I heavily criticize the price-to-performance ratio, I wouldn’t mind if it lasted at least 8 hours. Chanel tends to make their new fragrances less dense in record time; it seems you have to buy multiple bottles at launch to avoid ruining them too soon.
As others say, the quality is great, but the skin longevity is a dealbreaker; spraying it on clothes is almost mandatory to make it last longer. An alternative that plays in the same league is Mancera’s Lime Line: it lasts infinitely longer than Blanche EDP, though it lacks that same nobility.
I tried this again in Mexico in 2021. It opens with a delicious sweet and woody lemon, but after 30 minutes it fades to skin-level and lasts barely 2.5 hours. I don’t get what they’re doing with the new batches; they’re ruining it. I’ve tried others like Platinum Égoïste and Antaeus that suffer the same fate, though to a lesser extent. I doubt Chanel will sell me a recent batch.
Allure Homme Édition Blanche EDP doesn’t bring anything new to the table, but it works really well. It’s not groundbreaking, yet it has a captivating scent and is a safe bet. It smells like a perfect blend of lemon, sandalwood, and vanilla: a citrus opening that’s velvety and turns creamy without being sweet. It’s an intoxicating melody where every note shines. The soft vanilla adds warmth without overpowering the citrus. It has no gender or age limits; it’s for everyone. It’s a daytime animal—luminous and delicate. I recommend it for spring and summer with moderate temperatures; if it’s too hot, it’ll get lost. It leaves a pleasant trail. Everyone likes it, though experts might overlook it. Its Achilles’ heel is the price: it doesn’t justify the cost, as there are cheaper options that come close. It’s excellent for the office (clean and safe) and dates (warm and charming). Good construction, but the price is unjustified.
One of the best variations of Chanel Allure Homme. It smells like a well-made lemon tart, perfect for spring and summer: delicious, creamy, and very pleasant.
In my opinion, this is an exceptional vetiver—complex, delicate, and with a softness I haven’t found in other refined fragrances. However, its projection is quite weak; so while the scent itself is incredible, I don’t consider it a great perfume because no one will notice it.
The opening is exquisite, rich, and captivating; it will make you buy it instantly. But… the drydown is identical to Natura’s Paz e Humor; both behave the same on skin, and if you don’t notice, it’s either because your nose needs more development or you only know designer fragrances. You can buy the Paz e Humor since it’s cheap, then go to a department store to have it applied, and you’ll see the difference. I have both, and the difference is that Allure has more projection and lasts longer.
What a rich perfume, that creamy and slightly sweet lemon in just the right measure, with a delightful opening… special for summer, so far my number one of summer 2022. I wore it to a civil wedding as a witness, and what a charm. It’s versatile for heat, the office, formal events, family dinners, etc. On me, it has decent longevity and projection; this EDP didn’t fall behind like people say, it’s revitalizing and gives you energy. 99% of people like it. Try it in summer with the heat; its magic is incredible. It also works in hot springs, during the day and night. Spectacular perfume, sorry for repeating, but this and its brother Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme are a safe weapon for seduction and charm. Projection: 6, Longevity: 7, Scent: 9, Overall Note: 8.
Today a friend who sells perfumes had this to sell, and I didn’t expect much based on the listed notes. I thought it would be a common little lemon, but when we tested it, since he didn’t know it either, we were both impressed. What a wonderful, well-made thing, a totally addictive aroma that became one of my favorites. If you have the chance to try it, don’t hesitate; the drydown is amazing.
Allure Homme Edition Blanche EDP is citrusy, creamy, and woody. It has one of the best citrus openings I’ve ever heard, smelling like a very realistic lemon zest, but it fades quickly and turns vanilla-infused and creamy, which is probably why people compare it to desserts like lemon tart. The scent remains pleasant, but it stays very close to the skin, only noticeable when someone gets close or on clothes. It could be daily, signature, or for casual and formal situations, but mainly daytime due to its energetic vibe. Longevity is about 6 hours, but very close to the skin. I definitely don’t recommend buying blind; I’ve tested it several times and although I love the scent, it always has poor performance with me, which is a pity.
Very rich, perfect for daily wear, great for Netflix and chill, works in the office, and is a good “I don’t know what to wear” pick. Citrusy, creamy, soft… so soft that unfortunately, it affects its performance. Obviously, if you find a crazy deal, go for it; there’s no loser under that condition. Hard to get at a good price, so… it’s not the best buy if you want to be remembered, but it’s great for making a woman who walks past your personal space remember how good you smell. Projects for 45 minutes and lasts 5 hours on skin. Batch 5907 from 2020 came with a defective cap that only comes off with your fingers.
I’ve spent years looking for something similar that costs less (Chanel is always super expensive, and the value for money on many is…) and haven’t found it. I never understood the simplistic comparison to “lemon tart”; it seems much more complex, elegant, and rich than just a vanilla-infused lemon. From the old EDT, which was more explosive, to this EDP, it’s a glorious scent, impossible to dislike. More than once, people have asked about it (the EDT got more attention due to projection). The day they release something similar at a lower price, I’ll be the first to buy it; in the meantime, I’ll keep saving up to have this in my collection and another one as a backup.
Citrusy and creamy, with a very natural lemon that anyone who smells it will like. The problem? With its difficult performance, people might not even notice it. I wear it above 30 degrees Celsius; it’s super versatile and one of the best scents I’ve ever tried. Chanel couldn’t have done a worse job with such a great aroma. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 8/10, Projection: 7/10, Price: 7/10, Overall Score: 8. If you have extra cash and want to smell exquisite, go for it.
The opening smells like a lemon tart: rich, citrusy, creamy, even mineral—I love it. But the drydown feels very powdery to me; the citrus fades, leaving wood and vanilla. It’s not unpleasant, but I wouldn’t buy it because there are other options. And don’t even get me started on the performance: 6-7 hours on skin, which is weak for an EDP. It must have been brutal at launch, unlike today.
It’s curious that people comment on the performance because I have two old bottles, both of this and the original Allure Homme Sport (2014-2016), and both are absolute beasts. With 5 sprays, I last all day, especially this Blanche, which is denser and gets tiring by noon. I don’t know if it’s due to IFR or greed, but Chanel hasn’t been bought by any monopoly yet, and it’s a shame to hear that. All their perfumes are great—balanced, easy, yet characterful and high-quality, setting them apart from designer shelves. It’s no surprise Armaf is thriving, but that’s another story.
I remember going crazy testing it casually on a blotter; that vanilla-infused lemon blew my mind, and I knew there was no other option but to buy it. The opening reminds me of Bleu EDT: lemon, bergamot, and pink pepper, very Jacques Polge style. Then a shy vanilla appears while the lemon becomes juicy, as if you’re plucking a fruit straight from the tree. In the heart, that sweet lemon with a vanilla tint makes it refined and unisex, but for me, it’s mostly masculine. By the end, after 5 hours, it turns creamy, almost milky, with sandalwood dominating and smelling like “lemon yogurt.” It’s a masterpiece. The performance is weird: with 5 or 7 sprays, I only feel it for 2 hours; by the third hour, it seems to fade, but people still smell it. After 7 hours, there’s still a trail. It lasts between 7 and 10 hours. A masterpiece, period.
One of the richest perfumes I’ve ever smelled, exquisite, but with lamentable performance. Between 6/7 hours: excluding the first hour where it projects moderately, it drops to skin scent very quickly. I’ve given it many chances because it’s one of my favorites; it would be a marvel if everyone could enjoy this scent, which doesn’t happen. What a pity, especially with Chanel’s prices. Coincidentally, most perfumes I’ve tried have disappointed me in performance.
Second review. It’s curious what happens to me with this fragrance. I gave up on it due to its laughable longevity, which made me angry. It’s so good and expensive yet lasts nothing. However, the last few times it lasted 10 hours on skin (2 hours projecting moderately, then skin scent, but on clothes there are bursts until 4 PM). I don’t know if the testers are macerated or if new batches work better. If so, I would buy it because the scent is exquisite.
The opening is an energetic citrus, like refined lemon peel essential oil with bergamot; over-application can be irritating. The good stuff arrives after 30-40 minutes: an exquisite, addictive, and creamy sweetness, nothing cloying. The vanilla creates a sexy complex with the citrus, the kind you don’t want to part with on your wrist. It lingers on clothes even after washing. Ideal for the office or outdoors, even for formal dates outside of winter. Not for the gym. The longevity has been good for me; it projects from moderate to quite strong with 5 sprays. It performs excellently at 20°C and has generated many compliments. Beautiful bottle that reflects that creaminess.
This is one of the fragrances I tried with no expectations, but it’s one of the best I’ve ever smelled. It’s like a meringue or lemon pie: citrusy but slightly creamy, not heavy. As it dries, it reminds me of laundry or freshly ironed clothes. The price hurts. Update: I’ve worn it to work for about two weeks and it lasts between 8 and 10 hours. It’s not a ‘beast mode’, but it’s soft, easy to like, and performs well in summer.
Not hate, just sharing my experience: it’s a little lemon-vanilla from start to finish. Forget it and go for the classic Allure Homme EDT instead. It’s even cheaper.
A love-hate relationship with this fragrance. It smells beautiful and evolves well. They say it’s just lemon-vanilla, and that’s a lie. The bad part: the longevity of the 2023 batch is well below average for an EDP. The sillage lasts, generously speaking, an hour. I hope it improves with maceration, because it’s a tragedy to pay Chanel prices for a body mist.
Chanel set out to ruin their perfumes, and this one couldn’t be worse. What a shame. First, they discontinued the EDT Concentrée, which smelled better: creamier, richer vanilla, natural lemon, and it lasted 8 hours. Then they released an EDP that behaves like an eau de cologne at an outrageous price. If it lasts 3 hours, give thanks. Those who say it lasts more than 5 hours are lying or smelling the old version. The current dry-down is pure vetiver, like Encre Noire Sport. I don’t recommend it today.
January 2024 batch. Smells like lemon with a very creamy vanilla, but the longevity and sillage do not justify the price (133€ for 150ml). I really regret this. In 1.5 hours, you can’t even feel it. Also, it smells like a parallel path to Armaf’s CDNIM, except this one lacks the smoky touch. Armaf’s performance is infinitely superior.
For solidarity, let me say this: test Chanel on your skin before buying. The current performance is atrocious. On me, without over-applying, it reaches my nose by night. It’s not invasive; it’s intimate and energizing. It’s creamy citrus with a subtle sweetness. It’s not meant to grab attention. To those who claim it lasts more than 5 hours, they are lying or have a serious vocabulary problem. Don’t buy Chanel if you’re looking for ‘beast mode’.
Beautiful, yes, but it doesn’t last anything. But nothing.
I thought the claims about its longevity were an exaggeration until I tried it. It smells citrusy at first, but on my skin it fades in at most 10 minutes. To catch the vanilla base, I had to press my nose right against my arm, and by the time an hour had passed, there was no trace left. A total joke for an EDP at that price point; I’ve used body mists that last longer.
Very rich. Very versatile and unique. Smells like sugared lemon. Ideal for summer (I don’t rule it out for when YOU want to!)… EXAMPLE: I collect party perfumes and for my next party I’ll wear this 🤙 (party, lockdown, heat… what’s better?). Let me tell you something: stop repeating what YouTube says! Chanel is good and its fragrances last normally, just like all brands. They last the same as any other perfume… all last between 4 and 7 hours, that’s normal! It lasts the same as any other perfume.
One of the few summer perfumes with vanilla 😉🤙
I’ve had it for 10 years and the bottle lasted 2 years; out of nostalgia and because I liked it so much I wanted to get it again… I went to the store, two sprays on the arm and wow, there it is, that exact scent I remembered (I used it during two autumns), intact to my nose, no apparent reformulation. My favorites are zesty citrus and this one seems very special and unique, one of the few focused on lemon but at the same time sweet-creamy, something not so common. After 15 minutes the trail started to drop; I tried to convince myself it was normal entering the heart notes and due to drying the volatility decreases, at 30 minutes it was just residual scent, skin-level, as if I’d been wearing the perfume for 8h, which wasn’t the case before. At 45 minutes the sillage was practically non-existent. The bottle from 10 years ago was 150ml… I remember the performance very well. Maybe they didn’t reformulate ingredients but the performance did; it was never a beast mode, I remember it had standard performance leaning towards low, but the high quality of ingredients and composition compensated for it. After an hour, on skin it’s practically gone, maybe on clothes it lasts a bit more, but I think paying 200 dollars (price in Mexico) is too much for an ultra-light cologne. It’s not my nose, I gave it to friends and they perceived the same thing; besides I tried other Chanaels and although all show reformulation that equalizes them in (terrible) performance, this Blanche did very poorly. Invest in something else. High demand? Increased ingredient prices? Ingredient bans for health reasons? Maybe all are responsible for such mediocre formulas. And maybe the main fault is ours (excessive demand).
I think it’s very rich; it has a refined and elegant citrus note, unlike Allure Homme Sport, which is more of a casual clothes citrus. I don’t see it much for daily life (due to its price and relatively low performance), but it’s exquisite for a date in the heat where you want to look fresh but very classy.
I bought it despite the reviews about its performance. It’s exquisite, a true lemon cake at the start, very well done, but after just over 1h it smells very poor, power drops to 10%. What a pity that such an expensive perfume has little to no projection and longevity. I asked friends at the office in a closed room, it’s only noticeable if sprayed at that moment and very close to the skin. I wouldn’t invest here again, but I’d like to know what alternative has better performance and projection, hoping someone has found it.
Batch 2022. Rich perfume, you can tell the lemon, sandalwood (very subtle), and vanilla. When it dries, I get a reminiscence of Le Beau by JPG, not exactly the same but a similar sweetness without coconut… seems like the same vanilla, I’m not an expert but they seem alike 🤔. The creaminess drops a lot compared to Allure Eau Extreme (which discourages me, giving it a more masculine touch). Performance is quite poor, 4 hours, projection about 45 minutes and less than a meter. I don’t recommend it sincerely, maybe for closed social events at home, like a family dinner on a summer night, then yes. For daily life, no one notices it. I prefer the Eau Extreme version, it projects more, is less sweet, and more masculine.
Hello everyone. Reviewing this masterpiece. After almost 2 years of use, it’s extraordinary and I recommend buying it despite certain drawbacks. The good: enchanting scent, unconventional, refined to the point of seeming expensive with a simple profile. An almost perfect blend of sweet and fresh, ideal balance between effervescent citrus and vanilla creaminess that enriches the sandalwood base, giving it a masculine touch (not as unisex as they say). Very versatile, from casual to semi-formal. Works in warm climates without being overpowering and in cold ones without losing its shine. I receive many compliments without even trying. In my case, it’s one of the best (only surpassed by Y EDP) for hot nights; it’s striking and charming. The bad: performance. Lasts approx 7-8h if you’re generous with sprays. Sillage is good for the first 2h, then it becomes very close, suitable only for personal use. The worst: the price. Chanel charges an exorbitant amount; in that range, niche options would make you hesitate to buy unless there’s a discount. In short, it’s enchanting and never fails. Recommended for those looking for this or starting out in perfumes; otherwise, better opt for more sophisticated options if your budget allows. Extra: it has sentimental value; I lived the happiest day of my life on 06/15/2024 watching Atlético Bucaramanga win the Colombian football championship for the first time; it reminds me of that day every time I wear it, another reason it should never be out of stock.
The Alien33 review is the best, most complete, and honest one about this Chanel fragrance. For hot weather, it’s one of the most pleasant options alongside Dior Homme Cologne. Both are citrus with a sweet base, very wearable compared to the sharp and exhausting ones we’re used to. What a pity about the performance: one hour of projection and 5-6 hours on skin, maybe up to 7 if it hits clothes. For indoor daily wear, it’s fantastic.
One of the richest scents in the world, but its biggest flaw is that it doesn’t last.
