This perfume is delicious; you can tell the natural essences are there. It’s well-citrusy but without that spicy dry-down others have. It’s unisex with a clean scent. I’m still testing the longevity and sillage, but so far it’s excellent.
The opening is a potent, well-executed citrus with white flowers, faithful to the notes. I don’t like it unless it blends with woods, but if you enjoy clean, citrusy scents, this is a hit. I let it rest and shook it to tame that strong citrus tone, and it did, becoming enjoyable. After 1-2 hours, the amber notes kick in, making it warmer. It’s unisex, perfect for daily wear across all ages and from mild to extreme climates. It lasts a bit longer than the average citrus and projects well. I paid under $20, and it’s totally worth it if you’re looking for a well-crafted citrus.
The opening is a powerful, well-executed citrus with white florals, true to its promise. It doesn’t sit well on me unless blended with woods, but if you love clean, citrusy scents, this is a find. I let it settle and shook it occasionally to tame that intense citrus note, and honestly, it softened enough to be enjoyable. After 1-2 hours, the amber kicks in and adds warmth. It’s a perfectly unisex fragrance, ideal for daily wear across all ages and climates, from mild to extreme heat. It lasts a bit longer than the average citrus and has strong projection for its concentration. I paid under $20, and it’s totally worth it at that price. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a well-crafted citrus.
Lazuli is 75-80% similar to Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino, but more citrusy and soft. It lasts longer than the TF and smells like a summer day by the pool.
Excellent purchase. I haven’t used the original, but for the price, it has great performance, ideal for hot days.
I don’t get the reviews; I bought it blind based on the notes, and it turns out to be eau de cologne. It smells like Nenuco or the original 4711. It doesn’t smell bad, but smelling like a baby or cheap cologne isn’t what I’m looking for. Basically, it’s just bottled Nenuco eau de cologne; the comments are nonsense.
I don’t get the reviews for this perfume. I bought it blindly based on the notes and ratings, but it turns out it’s eau de cologne; it smells like Nenuco or the original 4711. Does it smell bad? No, but smelling like a baby or cheap cologne isn’t what I’m looking for. Basically, it’s just bottled Nenuco eau de cologne with fancy packaging; what people are saying in the comments is just movie magic.
I agree with @reydereyesperfumista: I’ve never tried the original 4711, but here in Chile we have the ‘Colonia Inglesa’ (451). It’s rich and cheap, used by humble folks, grandparents, and even babies, which stigmatized it as a scent for those with limited means. But it smells like perfume, not social class. For us, what matters is enjoying it. That’s why, even though Costa Azzurri smells like cheap cologne compared to Al Wataniah’s Lazuli, the latter has more nuances and quality, and I prefer it.
The packaging is top-notch, but the performance is non-existent; it fades in minutes.
I agree with @reydereyesperfumista: I’ve never tried 4711, but in Chile we have the 451 or ‘English Cologne.’ It’s rich and cheap, though low quality, which is why grandpas or people for babies use it, creating a stigma that this scent is for those without resources. That’s absurd; scents have no social class, what matters is enjoying them, whether they’re budget or luxury. That’s why, for us, talking about the quality of Costa Azzurra or its dupes sounds like cheap cologne. I really loved that smell, and even more the LAZULI DE AL WATANIAH, which has superior nuances and quality compared to those old colognes.
