I’m not a neroli lover; it still smells a bit like baby perfume to me, but it doesn’t bother me. I don’t have bad associations with this note, so I never say no to trying it. I don’t know the Tom Ford Neroli Portofino that people compare it to, but I can say that within the world of neroli, this is very well done. To me, the note feels present in both the opening and the heart. The sillage, projection, and longevity on skin are moderate. If you like neroli, can find it, and have the budget (it’s not expensive, though prices are rising), don’t hesitate to buy it.
The opening didn’t do anything for me at first—it was strong, almost like Chini—but once it dried down, I finally got it. That’s why I bought it; I’d already decided against it, but smelling it on my skin a few minutes later hooked me. I’m not a huge neroli fan, but I loved how it dried down and its lasting power.
Citrusy and floral, super clean… it really comes alive in the heat, lasts forever, and I’ve gotten so many compliments. 8.5/10
