Descripción
Mercedes-Benz Club Black Eau de Toilette, from the Mercedes-Benz house, is an oriental fragrance created in 2017. Composed by perfumer Olivier Cresp, it opens with a burst of bergamot, introducing a vibrant citrus note. The heart reveals an evocative blend of incense and jasmine, adding depth and floral character. It smells… well, but that’s it. It’s like putting a Starbucks vanilla syrup in your latte or cold brew.
It’s a perfume that delivers way too much for its price. Its only sin is being Mercedes-Benz. Just use it in the coldest weather possible. Greetings from Honduras.
This is pure little vanilla. The opening reminded me a bit of Arabian Tonka, but as it dries down, it takes another path. It’s a gourmand perfume, practically linear, you can feel the floral. It could be unisex and is ideal for dates because its strength is close-range projection. It’s for personal enjoyment or wearing with your partner.
Very good scent, a sweet note that doesn’t bother and is liked by those nearby. The vanilla and woods work well together, and the smoky touch makes it very masculine. Excellent longevity and good projection for the first hour and a half. It really shines at night in the cold. Rating: 8.3/10.
I love it, pity it doesn’t project as much, but the scent is exquisite. It lasts well on skin and clothes, it just needs more projection.
It’s interesting to see a car brand solidify itself in fragrances; for me, it’s a quality leader alongside Bentley and some Ferrari pieces. There are lots of vanilla perfumes, but creating an original masculine-unisex one is hard, and Club Black does it well. The top has bergamot, but little; what dominates is a dense, elegant sweetness. It’s a dark vanilla, slightly spiced, with a mineral touch from ambroxan that adds freshness. It’s a peak moment: complex but not confusing, a clear declaration of being sweet, spiced, woody, and elegant. Ideal for night; if you spray 7 or 8 times and lose sight of your partner in a club, just follow their scent and they’ll find you. Suitable for a wide range, it dances between woody, powdery, and sweet oriental with unusual performance. Remember, attitude matters more than age. Approved.
As a perfume beginner, I’m sticking with this. I bought it blind and it’s amazing. I don’t know much about references, but to my nose, it smells like that vanilla and iris blend from Givenchy’s Gentleman EDP that my dad used to hide. It’s not the same, but it has that vibe. It’s sweet but not cloying, elegant and flirty. Projects decently, it’s affordable, and lasts a while. Use it at night or in the cold, just 2 or 3 sprays because if you overdo it, it gets overwhelming, even though you’ll smell it all day lol.
Smells great; on my skin, it lasts about 6 hours. I love it. If you don’t like sweet perfumes, this isn’t for you.
The perfect scent for an intimate date, where you know things are about to take it up a notch. That’s all.
It’s the perfect balance between sweetness and freshness: the citrus opening invites you to try it, but if you linger just a minute longer, it evolves into an addictive vanilla. Easy to wear, I recommend it for fall and winter, though it works anytime at night.
Very good fragrance in terms of scent and performance. Ideal for autumn or winter nights; in temperate climates, only for some cool spring nights. Slightly citrusy opening, with vanilla and incense clearly noticeable throughout its development. A subtle incense that adds darkness. Although it’s for men, a woman could wear it without hesitation. I was pleasantly surprised. Those interested shouldn’t hesitate to buy it. Blind buy recommended 100%.
Very good fragrance, lasting over 10 hours. Very sweet, totally vanilla-forward. It’s the first strong vanilla that doesn’t bother my nose. I think men and women can wear it; the compliments don’t keep you waiting.
To my taste, it’s sweet, addictive, delicious, loud, and bright. Ideal for parties, spectacular. On my dry skin, it lasts about 8 hours, projects a lot for the first 3 hours without issue, then stays close but still noticeable. On clothes, it’s no contest. Buy blind: YES, IT’S A LOCK. For the price here in Colombia, it’s a 10/10 compared to other more expensive ones in my collection that have laughable performance. The Club de Mercedes line is high quality.
It smells elegant to me. Although it’s linear and almost always the same, it’s perceived as pleasant and more refined than the generics. I bought it for the price. Just a heads-up, it doesn’t have a great trail, but it smells great on the skin. Let’s see how long it lasts. I’ve had it for a month and I no longer like it; I feel it smells like a mechanic’s garage. First time I’m this regretful. I wouldn’t buy it again.
I just tried it in-store. Citrus opening, but nothing groundbreaking. What I notice is a boozy, sweet scent with strong projection. It gives me vibes of Arabian Tonka (though they aren’t similar) and caramel-type honey, like Le Male Elixir. The incense isn’t very noticeable, just providing a dark base. Maybe it’s the blend of benjui and vanilla that gives it a gourmand touch reminiscent of caramel candy. It stays consistent in the dry down and the boozy side fades, which is a pity because it’s well-executed. Very underrated; it was the only one that caught my attention in Duty Free. 7/10.
Nocturnal, seductive, and confident; it gives you an extra edge for a date or a close encounter. Pleasant, sweet, and mysterious, refined and perfect for special occasions in cool weather. It generates curiosity in others. 100% recommended.
Exquisite fragrance, warm, sensual, and super long-lasting. With its chocolatey, vanilla, and resinous (benjui) notes, it reminds me a lot of Le Male Elixir’s dry down and some Invictus Victory I can’t quite recall. Wonderful if you like sweet scents.
First review. I was planning to sell it but had my eye on it anyway, so I decided to open it and wow, what an exquisite perfume. It’s like a mix between SWY Intensely, a bit of Althair by PDM, and others similar. The opening is fresh thanks to the bergamot, but after 5-10 minutes, it transforms: vanilla stands out with the woods, and in the trail, you occasionally catch the incense. Nothing invasive, sweet without being cloying, and creamy. Elegant 10/10, for dates or special moments, not for daily wear and yes for cold weather. I didn’t get the full performance, but totally recommended. I bought it in Chile for 42,990 in the duty-free zone.
Incredible value for money, even though the hype drove the price up a bit. The scent is dominated by vanilla with some base notes. It’s not for daily wear, but it works great for dates and nights out. Everyone I’ve let sniff it has loved it. A must-have for any collection.
I absolutely love it; it smells super unisex. I tested it before buying to see how it dried down; on my skin, after two hours, only the incense remains, which I don’t like, so it’s a shame. But the opening is a total delight.
Hello, I’ve had it for three days, batch 4162 (10/06/2024). The scent is nice, nothing extraordinary… but it lasts as long as a sigh and the projection is non-existent. It’s money thrown in the trash. It’s definitely been super reformulated and ruined. Maybe the old batches were good, but this one I received is a disaster. I don’t recommend buying it at all. If I’m not mistaken, it’s the worst perfume in my humble collection. Cheers. P.S.: The longevity on clothes is terrible too.
It’s exquisite. I tried it at the mall and felt compelled to buy it. It smells like the Argentine dessert ‘sweet potato with chocolate’; literally, within seconds, it reminds me 100% of it. It has vanilla with an incredibly rich, addictive, and gourmand incense. It doesn’t have many facets: it starts sweet and gets sweeter and more ambered. The closest match is Invictus Victory Elixir; some say it’s a dupe for PDM Althair. The longevity is very good: it projects strongly for about three hours and then lingers for another ten. I applied it to my hand, showered, and it still smelled. On clothes, it lasts easily two to three days. Recommended for winter, autumn, cold nights, or dates. It might work on a cold spring or summer night, but strictly forbidden in extreme heat. The atomizer and packaging are quite poor.
Translation of the comment below: A perfume I’ve been waiting for a long time; it was a blind buy, so I expected a surprise. However, I was truly shocked that it smells like nothing. Out of the four I bought, this is the one that doesn’t smell like anything. I’ll let it macerate for a few months to see if it changes and will update then.
It’s a more polished and complete version of Zara’s Rich Warm Addictive. I don’t usually talk about notes, but here they shine: full-on vanilla, followed by a boozy, ambered, incense-y, and apple-like touch. It’s a sweet, nocturnal scent, a bit synthetic but well-made. It’s the sweetest, most wearable, and delicious fragrance I’ve ever worn on my skin. Casual, confident, and it’s gotten me tons of compliments. Very, very good.
This is my favorite perfume; it smells like an elegant man. One day I went to get Armani Code, but the price scared me. While I was hesitating, the sales associate applied Mercedes Benz Club Black on me, and from that moment on, I loved it. It’s a sweet, vanilla-infused scent that isn’t cloying, with a super masculine touch from the incense and woods. And the best part? It’s super affordable. I bought it there, and it instantly became my favorite.
Club Black never misses if you’re looking for vanilla. It doesn’t smell like cake; it’s a refined, delicate vanilla. The heart is jasmine wrapped in woods and benzoin, all bathed in that vanilla essence. Although it’s marketed for men, I wear it and enjoy it a lot in winter. My only complaint is the atomizer: it dispenses very little and tends to drip. Aside from that, the scent is spectacular.
Mercedes Benz Black is a fantastic fragrance: a sweet, white floral driven by jasmine, blended with leather, honey, hints of incense, and citrus. All of that gives it a vanilla undertone that makes it incredibly pleasant and well-rounded.
It’s a sweet perfume where vanilla takes charge from the very first spritz all the way to the dry down; it’s the standout note. It smells amazing, plus it has incredible longevity and projection.
Don’t buy this blindly if you don’t like amber, warm, ambroxan-heavy scents. In my case, this was exactly the style I realized I don’t like. The good news is I didn’t waste the bottle—just a decant that I wore maybe three times. Definitely not for me.
Definitely for dates and a nighttime scent. Breaks the code with a black semi-formal shirt. Vanilla dominates: rich, slightly feminine yet sexy on a man. Incense adds class. Smell: 8, Longevity: 8, Projection: 7, Compliments: 9, Price: 4 (better find a good cheap sweet Arab perfume, cheaper and just as rich). Recommended if you like vanilla scents. Fits that old-money semi-formal vibe.
Stains clothes. If you apply it on a white shirt, you look like a Dalmatian. Otherwise, an excellent fragrance.
A formal scent for me, ideal for a winter birthday, outdoors at minimum. Smell rating 6/10: it works, but reminds me of rice pudding cooking right before taking it off the heat. I’d say it’s good, but it feels like someone cooked and the smell stuck to them. Like wearing fried eggs before going out, but with rice pudding.
This is for a quiet but interesting man. Not beast mode, but not shy either; you notice him when he gets close. The opposite sex showers him with compliments; girls go crazy smelling it up close. It performs incredibly well and is exquisite; the vanilla is spectacular, one of the richest I’ve tried. Price went up a lot: was $40, now around $60. If you want strong vanilla, look elsewhere. If you want subtle vanilla, this is yours.
Bought it blind and the sweet scent upon opening was a hit. One of my favorites: not overpowering, but rich. Projects a soft, pleasant aroma that doesn’t offend—perfect for cold days or evenings. Surprised it’s from a car brand. Recommended for dates. 9/10.
My husband bought it for me and it’s a delight, very sensual and addictive. I see it as unisex and I’m going to wear it too because on my skin, it’s a delicious vanilla.
Okay, I give up. I can’t insult car brand perfumes anymore, because this is a bomb. It smells like sex. Literally, it smells like a guy about to have sex with the girl you like, but she’s ignoring you because you’re a troll who wears niche perfumes nobody likes, like Tom Ford. Joke’s on me, it’s actually amazing. It’s masculine, imposing, and reasonably priced. Maybe it’s too vanilla, but the incense note tames it and makes it exquisite. 9.5/10.
I’ve always wanted one. After hearing so many great reviews, I decided to try a decant, and what a relief. Honestly, it’s nothing extraordinary: sweet, pleasant vanilla, but without adding anything new. It’s affordable and lasts about 8 solid hours. I wouldn’t recommend it if you already own more than 20 fragrances; it doesn’t offer that differentiating factor you look for once you’ve explored the perfume world.
Brutally feminine vanilla. I had to gift the bottle because my skin just couldn’t handle it… a major fail on my blind buy. But what can you do? I’ll keep enjoying this hobby.
It’s a gem, a perfectly executed vanilla. The perfumer really outdid themselves here. It’s incredibly rich yet not cloying, playing beautifully with amber and incense. Every time I wear it, I feel like I’m carrying something noble and super luxurious.
