Fakhar Black by Lattafa Perfumes

Honestly, I went by the reviews and didn’t like its aroma. It’s not bad, but it’s not to my taste. However, in a nostalgic way, it reminded me of a catalog fragrance called Dominic (from Avon, Yambal, etc.).

Clean and fresh fragrance, with a sharp opening that becomes much more pleasant as it dries. Quite similar, with some details in its evolution, to Y by YSL. On my skin, it lasts 8 hours well, maybe a bit longer. It activates with movement and releases bursts of this delicious scent. Without a doubt, a very good inspiration for Y. Highly recommended.

For me, it was a disappointment. It’s a rich, fresh, and masculine perfume, but the longevity is very short and the sillage is practically non-existent. I’d give it daily use, but nothing more. Simply a perfume without much else.

Copy of Y EDP, similar, but the difference in scent quality and longevity is huge. Longevity: Y EDP gives about 7 hours, while Fakhar lasts 3-4 hours with moderate projection; it’s a perfume you’ll have to replicate if or when, but at the price I found it ($25), I don’t see a problem. Scent: Luckily I own Y EDP so I could compare them side by side. As soon as I spray Y, I’m reminded of Fakhar, though the scent quality makes a difference. In Fakhar, I feel a sharp apple and ginger, while Y is more balanced, even though it’s somewhat synthetic and sits below Y. I must say, the few people who smelled it loved it; it smells like apple, ginger, herbal, and a touch of sweetness; very easy to like.

It’s 80% similar to YSL’s Y EDP. It’s an aromatic and fresh fragrance with that excellent woody dry-down; if you’re looking for something for daily office or university use, this perfume is ideal for those contexts. Many mention issues with performance, especially longevity; at first, I had the same problem, but over time, the performance has improved too much for a workday; I’ve had great performance throughout the day: +8 hours on skin and +12 on clothes. It’s not a perfume with great sillage, making it ideal for offices or university; that doesn’t mean others don’t notice it; in my case, it has been a perfume that generated several compliments.

I don’t understand the reference to Y by YSL. It’s a scent very similar to Paco Rabanne’s Invictus. Fresh, versatile, ideal for summer and spring, for everyday use, and masculine.

Rich fragrance, but somewhat synthetic; I haven’t smelled YSL Y so I don’t know if that one is too. I bought it blind and it didn’t disappoint; with this scent, you won’t look bad. It doesn’t project beyond two hours, but for the price, you can reapply. I’d say it’s a blind buy for the price; I’ll go smell the Y and come back to see what I think.

When I first got into perfumes, I tried Y EDP and it was my favorite. Later, I tested Fakhar Black at an Arab store and liked it, but I went with something else instead. Then came Christmas; I added it to my Secret Santa list because of the price range, since its best feature is the cost ($20). Now I have it and am testing it. It’s similar to Y EDP, but the difference lies in impact and duration. It’s rich, but you need to reapply a couple of times a day. That’s actually good because it doesn’t soak into clothes as much, making it ideal for reusing the same day. You can tell it’s versatile for day and night, all year round (maybe not winter). Adding it up, I give it a solid 8/10, but when I earn more money, I’ll switch to the real Y EDP, which is superior.

Very good aroma, super versatile for day and night, easy to use, and not tiring. It was the first bottle I finished. Aside from that, projection is moderate, and in my experience, longevity didn’t exceed 3 hours, plus the atomizer is below average. However, for the price, I would buy it again.

I tested the original fragrance it’s said to resemble (Y EDP) and I liked this one more. I don’t have a nose to identify notes or review like an expert; I just say I bought it blind and it was love at first sniff. I use it at night to go out, with temperatures not dropping below 15 degrees because the cold eats it up. It lasts about 4 or 5 hours and projects little, which is true, but since I like it so much, I’ll buy it again when it runs out.

My first blind buy and I won big. I spotted it for 15-20€ on Amazon and it was worth the risk. Fakhar Black is inspired by YSL Y, and while clones usually lack potency, for this price it’s more than decent. It opens strong with fruits, especially apple, then cedar kicks in. It smells like a 15-year-old kid who wants to party till late but can’t afford the real deal. If you’re young, buy it—you’ll smell like a star.

Bought it as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. At first, it smells like a man fresh out of the shower—citrusy and fresh—but then it turns sweet, perfect for everyday wear. The green apple note dominates. It’s rich, masculine, and for the price with this packaging, it’s an ideal gift. Lasts about 5-6 hours with moderate projection. I loved it and recommend it for daily use.

Excellent fragrance for those seeking a fruity and woody profile like YSL Y EDP Intense, but less sweet and drier. It opens fresh and energetic. The green apple is acidic and fresh, combined with lavender and geranium, creating a herbal and clean character. It has no sweetness from start to finish, focusing on modern cleanliness. It has subtle ginger and woods to add body and durability. It ends with a herbal, clean, and woody base. It’s purely masculine, projecting maturity and competence. Ideal for the office and daily use. Its light structure makes it versatile, especially in warm weather. It’s not complex, but very effective. I rate it 7/10 for daily performance and value.

I’m going against everything said: it’s not that versatile nor does it resemble YSL EDP. It’s a weird scent, not bad, in fact the apple is good, but in heat almost everything fades and leaves a heavy scent that also doesn’t project. I sold it because I couldn’t get used to it; maybe it performs better in temperate climates.
