Descripción
La Vie est Belle en Rose by Lancôme is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. The top notes of raspberry, red berries, pink pepper, and bergamot awaken the senses; the heart reveals the elegance of Damascus rose, rose, peony, and lily of the valley; while the base settles on patchouli, musk, iris, and sandalwood.

Lancome has gotten us used to limited releases of their big hits. This version number 10,000 (I’ve lost count) is basically LVEB floral with a bit more rose and less longevity. The bottle is gorgeous. If you’re a collector, it’s worth having, but if you’re not, test it on your skin before spending so much on something similar to the original but with less sillage and longevity.
I don’t detect any rose here. It sounds almost identical to the Florale version. It’s not worth spending money on this flanker because the price doesn’t justify the quality or originality. The longevity is poor, although the sillage is a bit potent. The standout notes are raspberry, patchouli, red fruits, and lily.
For me, the original La Vie Est Belle is way too sweet, but this flanker is a whole different story. I tried it in-store and it absolutely captivated me. I’m not comparing it to the floral version, so my opinion is pure. It’s a rose that blends beautifully with red fruits, creating a gorgeous floral-fruity scent, and the iris adds that light powdery touch at the end. It didn’t feel like the original to me, maybe because I only tried it once, which was lucky because I loved it and it has great longevity. It’ll be my next purchase, right now that I’m recovering from Tresor Musk Diamant, which I adore.
Personally, I don’t like the original La Vie Est Belle; it feels overwhelming with so much sweetness, and I don’t understand how people tolerate it. But this flanker, which I tried in a perfumery recently, fascinates me. I’ll clarify that I didn’t try the floral version, so my review is innocent regarding any similarity to it. It’s a beautiful rose blended with red fruits, giving it an enchanting floral-fruity aroma, while the iris adds a very light powdery touch almost at the dry-down. I didn’t find it similar to the original, maybe because I only tried it once, which was lucky because I loved it and it has good longevity. It will definitely be my next purchase since I just recovered from Tresor Musk Diamant, which I love.
Holy smokes, how elegantly and exquisitely refined this Vie Est Belle In Rose version is. Its roses are powdery and intoxicating, richly intermingling with the other ingredients to create something majestic. It has something that reminds me of So Pretty by Cartier. It has a well-manufactured balance and equilibrium that make it absolutely beautiful. I’ve fallen in love with this gorgeous perfume.
This version is the one! And watch out, I’ve tried the European toilette version. It’s the sweet, youthful, and floral aroma I was expecting to accompany me through all my days. It’s an LVEB version for spring-summer, though those aromas work well in any situation. After all, a perfume is a shortcut to capture memories, but what scent identifies you? I find that here. It’s fresher than the original without losing its identity, ideal for dinners or special moments. More floral, just as long-lasting, with a gourmand trail that’s less invasive, perfect for the office or the library. Then, its elegance wraps around you at dinners with friends or short dates. This scent makes people remember you; it has its own identity. What I like most is its architecture: how it evolves, revealing the dance of roses, red fruits, and citrus without getting lost in the intense sweetness of the original.
Simply elegance and sophistication. I love it so much.
I just tried a sample, and it’s very pleasant and fruity. The raspberry stands out a lot when it dries down, while the rose is only felt at the beginning, very subtle. It reminds me a lot of Coach The Fragrance; they have almost identical notes, but I find this Vie Est Belle In Rose sweeter.
I love this fragrance: it starts with a potent rose bouquet that gives way to raspberry, creating a cheerful, tender, and super feminine aroma. The iris adds a powdery and distinguished touch, very youthful and elegant, keeping that warmth of LVEB as if you’re wearing baby powder. It’s perfect for day or night, not too casual, ideal for formal family gatherings. At first, the rose gave me a headache, but since I loved it, I used it sparingly in low doses until I got used to it; today it’s my daily perfume. It lasts 7 or 8 hours. I recommend it for hot days or humid nights; outdoors, its trail is noticeable without being excessive.
It’s delicious! I love it because I adore LVEB and wanted to try this just to avoid repetition, and I loved it because it feels exactly like the other but softer, more feminine, less sweet, a bit more elegant and refined. It’s super versatile, and most importantly, it lasts! Which has me absolutely enchanted. I can feel it, it’s noticeable, it stays. I’m so happy.
Sweetly enchanting with the LVB DNA but in a cosmetic version that evolves to fix roses on the skin.
I tried this perfume today; I thought it would be fruitier based on the notes, but I was surprised to find it’s more floral. It’s light, not for nighttime use, and suits any season. I must say, I prefer the original LVEB over this version; I love that sweetness you feel after wearing LVEB in Rosé for hours. As for age, I think it works for any age. It’s a rather discreet or ‘piola’ fragrance, as we say here.
I find a similar base to LVEB, but much more floral and soft. It allows for multiple sprays because it’s discreet, spring-like, and cheerful. Would I buy it? No, but if someone gifted it to me, I’d happily accept it.
What a delight! It’s tender, feminine, and youthful—I love it more than LVEB. At first, it’s delicate and fruity, with juicy raspberry giving way to a bouquet of roses with pink pepper and patchouli. Once it settles, it’s a harmonious blend with a slightly woody and musky base; when it dries down, there’s a powdery touch from the iris that gives it that special point. It’s sweet but less so than LVEB, reminding me of Miss Dior 2017. It’s excellent and super youthful, perfect for a 25-year-old girl; I gifted it to my eldest daughter, and she’s obsessed—she’s already gone through a 50 ml bottle in two months. I get it, it’s beautiful and comforting in winter; it’s warm, its trail wraps around you, and makes you feel good. I can picture a bride in a white dress and Damascus roses, scented with LVEB in Rosé leaving a trail toward the altar. It’s very versatile, has a great trail without being intrusive, and lasts well: about 6 hours, strong for the first three, then medium distance, and finally skin scent. On fabric, it lasts until you wash the garment, and if you perfume a coat, the whole wardrobe smells amazing! Fragrance rating: 10 out of 10!
My beloved En Rose 😍, how pretty you are. Fresh and sweet roses bathed in raspberry juice with a touch of iris, you are gorgeous, juicy, and cheerful. I like it so much that I forgive its longevity; I would love for it to last longer; that’s the only thing I’d change. However, if they change the scent to improve its performance, I’ll stick with this one even if I have to reapply every 3-4 hours; I just love its aroma.

I love it!!! It’s a citrusy and sweet perfume with a fresh opening and a dry down that has the DNA of the original LVB. I really like the dry down of the traditional one, but the opening is very strong and bothers me. In contrast, with this EDT, I found an opening I like and a dry down I enjoy; it’s perfect. For an EDT, it has wonderful behavior regarding projection and longevity on the skin. It has become one of my favorites, perfect for fresh spring and summer. Edit: The description above is for LVEB in Rose but Batch 2021. I recently acquired one from 2019, and it is less fruity, less citrusy in the opening, and sweeter in the dry down. I love both, and although they keep their spirit, I think the launch date version is more delicate and the 2021 one is more wild.
I love it in its original 2019 formula: it was sweet without being cloying, feminine, and delicate. In my 8-year-old niece’s words (who is a huge fan of this fragrance): ‘This is how I imagine Disney princesses should smell,’ and she’s right; it smells like princesses, tenderness, and femininity. Not so with the current formula; it’s disappointing that they changed it to something citrusy. To my nose, it feels more like a citrus floral, suitable for other vacation perfumes…
It’s a shame they reformulated this fragrance; it was so rich, sweet, and feminine, and now all I smell is a harsh, low-quality musk with notes of old makeup, accompanied by something citrusy.
I knew I was going to like this version because of its notes 😍. On me, the rose, raspberry, and iris stand out, giving it that dusty touch that could remind one of the original LVEB, but it doesn’t remind me of it. The one I have is from June 2021, and now I’m curious to try the 2019 version. It’s a shame they reformulated it so soon.
It’s a beautiful perfume. I like scents with presence, and I must say this one is delicate, but I forgive it because the fragrance is just, so incredibly beautiful. I detect similarities to Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming EDP and, more distantly, Valentino Donna EDP. If I have to speak about the scent, it’s one of my favorites in my collection. I perceive it as floral, fruity, creamy, with a hint of freshness and a measured sweetness. I think it’s a perfect combination of notes; I love the iris paired with the musk. I highly recommend it, even for layering with the EDP by applying the EDP to other parts of the body further from the nose. I would buy it again if 💖💖💖
What a surprise, this aroma! In a positive way! I’ve tried the LVEB original, l’Éclat, and Soleil Cristal, and none of them quite work for me in the dry down; they have a slightly bitter note I can’t identify, very strong and a bit old-ladyish for my taste. But this one, right out of the bottle, is such a delicious fruity scent, I suppose the raspberry gives it that touch, I loved it. In the dry down, I feel it’s a bit similar to the others, however, much richer and more tolerable to my taste. Just a heads-up, I’m not an expert, but I love perfumes.
Floral and very fruity scent. What I notice most is pink pepper, raspberry, and rose. It’s not a fresh rose, but a sweet one subtly dusted with iris in the base. It reminds me of Alejandro Sanz’s Mi Acorde Ella (which is said to be a dupe of LVEB), but En Rose is more sparkly and fresh thanks to the bergamot. A very wearable scent for spring and summer, lovely, feminine, nothing extraordinary but beautiful in the end.

It’s the only LVEB I actually liked. I tried the original, Éclat, Cristal Soleil, and Intensément, and they were horrible… too cloying and annoying. I came to this one resigned, but knowing it had roses, I wanted to give it a shot, and wow! It’s exquisite without being overbearing. It’s sweet with a fresh touch. You can definitely smell the patchouli in the dry down, but it doesn’t bother me. Its sillage is moderate, and its longevity for an EDT is good. I was actually surprised.
It’s the absolute jewel. It’s not tiring, doesn’t give me a migraine, and brings joy. You have to apply it moderately because it can be a bit cloying (though not overwhelming). It’s like a blend of La Vie Est Belle + Tresor Midnight Rose + Idole. Oh my god, this is glorious! It’s magnificent; it’s finally the perfume I clicked with, and I’m making it my signature scent.
It’s the most wonderful thing that exists. It’s not tiring, doesn’t give me a headache, and radiates joy. You have to apply it moderately because it can get a bit cloying (but without being overwhelming). It’s like a mix of La Vie Est Belle, Tresor Midnight Rose, and Idole. Oh, wow, this is pure bliss. It’s magnificent; it’s the perfume I finally clicked with, and it’s becoming my signature.
It’s a very feminine perfume. Although it’s an EDT, it has moderate longevity of 3 to 4 hours. The top notes are a charming fruity touch, but what accompanies you until the end is the powdery trail of the roses. I’ve received several compliments, but I have to reapply during the day.
This is my signature fragrance. I identify with this scent a lot; it makes me feel comfortable. It’s fresh but noticeable, sweet without being cloying. I’ve received many compliments, and it’s undoubtedly the only one in the La Vie Est Belle line that I find exquisite because the sweetness of the classic is reduced significantly. Its longevity is quite good, although I can speak from experience having used three bottles; it has faded considerably. The first one lasted amazingly, while the last ones lasted a moderate 6 hours. They probably reformulated it. I love this fragrance; I could use it for the rest of my life. I give it 9/10 only because its longevity has faded a bit.
I bought it because I read it was similar to Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming, and it’s not. For me, it’s identical to the first version of La Vie Est Belle. It feels regal; its longevity is 20/10, but I don’t recommend buying it blindly.
I never thought I’d say I loved any version of La Vie Est Belle, but here ‘never say never’ applies. I adore this scent; I can even tolerate it in the hottest weather. It doesn’t resemble Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming, which I adore, although both share femininity, delicacy, and that feeling of joy. I’m sorry I suffer from migraines and have a sensitive sense of smell, but this scent passed the test. I’m fascinated by how balanced it is and how it blends naturally with my skin. It projects for about 4 hours and then fades, which doesn’t bother me. I’ll buy it a thousand times again even if I have to reapply; the pleasure of smelling good is worth it. In this composition, the fusion of roses, peonies, iris, and sandalwood with a touch of sweet raspberry and citrus bergamot creates the magic; all notes are in perfect balance. I expected no less from these great perfumers; thank you for challenging me, I’ll never say La Vie Est Belle isn’t for me again.
I must say I couldn’t stand the first LVEB. When I tried the Rose, it was an unexpected turn… I like this one, I love it… it’s soft, sophisticated, and pleasant. I can wear it in summer without it being overwhelming, which is important to me… Longevity on skin is 4 hours; if I reapply, it lasts at least 9, and it sticks very well to clothes. If you want something a little sweet but not dense, you can give it a try 😉The rose note is executed very well; they are sublime and fresh roses…

I really like this scent, especially for spring and summer. It lasts 4 hours: the first two project well, the third is still noticeable but fades a bit, and after the fourth, it’s barely detectable even on the skin. On clothes, I’m not sure; I finished the bottle in two months and sprayed it on my neck, arms, and hair. I used it for short outings. I’m not sure if it lasts longer with maceration; I bought it and started using it right away. I loved the scent, but I won’t buy it again due to the longevity; I’m not one to carry bottles in my purse, especially in summer. I found it similar to Jimmy Choo’s Blossom, which is sweeter, has a more intimate projection, but lasts much longer. It also reminds me of a Bath & Body Works body mist, The One, which has excellent longevity.
You can never say never. I tried this perfume recently, never having been interested in that line before, and it was a pleasant surprise. On my skin, it’s more floral than gourmand, and the patchouli is very subdued. I loved it so much that I bought it; before, I compared a sample from 2019. According to reviews, it has been reformulated, but the new version performs better on my skin and smells much rounder than the 2019 one. The first one seemed like a cologne, very fleeting, leaving no trace of patchouli. What a lovely duo of rose and peony; that’s what I perceive most, what lingers on the skin, and I’m enjoying it so much.
This is a super elegant perfume; I wear it to work for interviews or meetings. I don’t feel it lasts long or has a strong sillage, but it’s nice to feel it softly. It lasts longer on clothes, though nothing extraordinary. I re-applied it during the day to catch it again when it faded a bit. Although it’s sweet, I don’t find it cloying; it’s more formal and elegant. I wouldn’t recommend it for teenagers because it feels a bit mature; better for ages 25 to 30. That’s my personal opinion, of course, everyone decides for themselves.
La Vie Est Belle makes me gag; it’s cloying. I liked this one at first, but then I realized it wasn’t for me—it’s too sweet and heavy. You have to apply a little, but it can still be overwhelming. I won’t repurchase and haven’t even finished the bottle; I gave it away.
It smells exactly like Idole, honestly. It should be listed in comparisons; if you have one, the other is unnecessary.
