I love La Belle by JPG (I think it’s more faithful to the original than Le Parfum), and knowing this alternative existed, I went straight to buy it. At first, it smells just like the original. The pear dominates. Once dry, I don’t notice any difference, and it lasts forever on my skin. The strong notes are pear, ylang-ylang, tonka bean, and vanilla. It’s intense and powerful, so I don’t recommend buying it blindly if you don’t like La Belle. Overall, I recommend it 100%.
The opening is very alcoholic and lasts only a few seconds; I can’t quite catch it, but the dry-down does magic: it turns into a sweet pear. The vanilla is dark, sensual, and slightly talcum-powdered. It’s absolutely delicious and I can’t stop smelling myself.
It arrived and the first impression is that it smells like Play-Doh. Once it dries, it becomes lovely—powdery but in a pleasant way. Over time, it gets richer; it’s a cute perfume, but it hasn’t made me crazy.
