Ultra-feminine rose perfume, powdery and modern. Very coquettish, even refreshing. The rose predominates, nuanced by blackcurrant and powdery by that iris, with delicate woody notes. Despite declaring the same notes as the original Irresistible, they don’t smell the same. Rose Velvet is more youthful and doesn’t remind me at all of the LV Love Poem I currently use; the latter is a more mature rose, and I’d dare to say it has violets.
As soon as I sprayed it, it smelled of rose, blackcurrant, and creamy sandalwood. Once it dried on my skin, the rose and patchouli took over, with the blackcurrant and sandalwood lingering in the background; I didn’t really detect the iris. Compared to the original Irresistible, this flanker has a more intense rose and a fruitier touch.
I walked into the perfumery with a list, but a sales associate stopped me at the door and let me try this perfume. At first, I didn’t pay attention; I thought, ‘I don’t have this on my list, I don’t want it,’ but out of politeness, I smelled it and… it changed all my plans. I tried the others, but I couldn’t get this one out of my head. Finally, I tested it on my skin, walked around to see how it sat, and knew immediately that it was what I was looking for. I tend to get dizzy with perfumes and was searching for something clean, soft, with a moisturizing cream scent for everyday use… and I was lucky to find it. It’s true that its longevity isn’t extreme, nor is its projection, but that’s precisely what I like most. It smells like my natural body scent all along. A total crush! 💘

A bouquet of roses bathed in blackcurrant and honey syrup; that’s how I perceive this perfume. It’s rich from head to toe, and its sillage and longevity on my skin are brutal; I love it ✨.
I just tried it and I don’t detect the rose; I sense an undeclared neroli, which is very strange 😅. I had high hopes for the blackcurrants, but I only smell them at the opening; afterwards, it dries down very powdery, and I smell that undeclared neroli, which isn’t my style. Recommend testing before buying 😊.
This perfume is great for anyone who gets tired of roses; I have to say it has a lot of rose, it’s rose upon rose, but it’s so well blended that it doesn’t bother. You can smell the blackcurrant and a tiny powdery touch like a makeup note from the iris. I bought it blind and I’m very happy. The patchouli note isn’t high; everything is done very well, and the bottle is absolutely beautiful; the photos don’t do it justice; it’s a beautiful pearlescent rose that looks like mother-of-pearl. Good longevity and sillage, I think anyone would like it. Compared to the other Irresistibles, this is my favorite. I love it; if you have this, you don’t need another Irresistible. OMG, what a beauty! This is, in my humble opinion.
Unlisted citrus opening, followed by blackcurrants, rose, and iris. It feels juicy and slightly powdery. Very subtle woody base that provides support. Reminds me of the original Irresistible but more powdery with a hint of red fruit, perhaps more interesting. The iris note reminds me of My Way Intense, though this Irresistible is lighter. Soft sillage and 4 hours of longevity. It’s simple, nothing groundbreaking, somewhat generic but pleasant. Youthful and cheerful despite the rose and talcum touch. Suitable for medical settings or small offices. I could use it for a short outing in spring if it were a gift, but I wouldn’t choose to buy it. Scent 7/10, Longevity 4/10, Sillage 6/10, Value for money 4.5/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 6/10. Would I buy it again? I didn’t buy it.
It’s romantic, very similar to Irresistible but more powdery and creamy. What surprises me most is its longevity on my skin, about 8 hours with moderate to intense sillage. Plus, it generates compliments and is very feminine. Without a doubt, I would buy it again.
I received a sample of this when I bought the Irresistible EDP, and I did like it. Rose Velvet doesn’t resemble the ‘mother’ of the line at all. It doesn’t live up to its name because I would expect a prominent rose, but that’s not the case here. You can smell the rose, but what stands out most to me is the iris with patchouli; it’s a rose and iris scent wrapped in patchouli. I’ll stick with the Irresistible EDP; I wouldn’t buy this one. It’s too sweet, maybe more suitable for fall and winter.

Soapy blackcurrants and clean notes from the iris; the rose is strong at first but then fades to support them. If you’re looking to smell like you just stepped out of the shower, this is it! It’s intimate and subtle. As it dries down, a subtle patchouli with woody notes keeps a juicy, fruity richness that stays close to the skin. Lasts about 4 hours. EDIT: Like with the original EDP, it mellowed over time and now lasts all day; the rose is more prominent but still delicate. I absolutely love it 🫶🏻, though not quite as much as the original, which is my signature scent.

Pleasant surprise, I think it’s the best in the line. To me, it opens sparkling and slightly citrusy, like it has pink pepper, then quickly moves to a heart of red fruits with florals. In the middle phase, on my skin, the iris stands out more than the rose: creamy, almost edible. As it dries, I notice more rose, fresh and powdery, but without falling into classic territory. It smells sweet throughout its evolution but very wearable. At the end, it blends with subtle woods and musk, giving it a clean and delicate touch, not soapy. I barely smell the patchouli. It’s not groundbreaking but very pleasant. I see it as feminine, daytime (even for summer), and I think almost any age could like it, though maybe not a very young crowd. On my skin, it lasts about 5-6 hours with moderate-to-soft projection and sillage. It could be better in that regard, but thanks to that, I see it as super versatile for daily wear. I wouldn’t buy it, but I know I could enjoy it occasionally.

It’s soft and doesn’t invade. I feel like those perfumes that smell great on someone but you don’t know what they are because they’re uncommon. We’ll see if I wear it daily; the sillage is super subtle. The iris is very noticeable, giving a clean scent, until on the skin you smell like you’ve just showered all day. The blackcurrant is noticeable at first, but then it’s just the rose and some androgynous notes. Reminds me a lot of Anais from Cacharel, they share notes, but this Givenchy one is lighter and cleaner. We’ll see if I keep it as my signature. It’s a perfume you love or hate, try it first.

The opening isn’t my thing. It gives me the same vibe as Irresistible and My Way, just to a lesser extent; it doesn’t make me nauseous but smells weird for a few seconds. Then it turns into a strong woody scent, like cedar, and the dry-down is delicious—it obsesses me. It’s floral and not sweet, mature and serious. Good sillage and lasts about 8 hours on my skin. The dry-down blends the notes well, except for the blackcurrant which I barely notice. I wouldn’t wear it every day, but to feel special sometimes, I love it haha. Don’t buy blindly!

It gives off a spring vibe, ideal for summer afternoons or nights, and I think it works well in autumn and winter too. I loved it! Givenchy is back with the rose and I’m obsessed.

Similar to the original but with more rose and a creamier finish. Reminds me of GG Blush but fruitier. The dry-down sits closer to the skin than the original Irresistible but is very wearable. I’m sticking with the EDP original. Both are gorgeous, 10/10.
