Ojos Claros
Intense, sophisticated, and powerful. Amber with addictive and precious notes. If you don’t know what to gift: any Montale. These are very complete perfumes. So Amber is a soapy amber you can’t stop sniffing—it’s captivating and warm. Absolute perfection. In Roses Musk, the rose takes the lead; in So Amber, the rose blends perfectly with the rest like a musical chord. Sensually feminine.

They market it as unisex, but for my nose, it’s too feminine and too floral. I don’t see it as unisex at all.

Love at first sniff. The rose is pleasant—not freshly cut, but soft and comforting. The saffron lifts it up. Everything works with the raspberry, but it’s not cloying; surprisingly, it carries vanilla without being overly sweet. No pralines here. The amber is oily and lasts all day.

Delicious fragrance that opens with the house’s typical sugary rose, very similar to others I adore: Roses Musk and Intense Roses Musk. But I’m not sure if it’s the raspberry that adds a touch of freshness, lightness, and a slightly masculine edge to the sweetness without losing its unisex appeal. Hard to decide which one I like more…
