I bought it after falling in love with the Hypnotic Poison EDT, thinking it would be fresher for occasions when the other masterpiece felt too intense… but I must say, while it’s not a bad perfume, it’s very different. For me, citrus doesn’t agree with me, so it was a bad purchase. I even dislike it on certain days.
Hypnotic Poison Eau de Secret is a pure floral oriental. The citrus opening isn’t loud; it gently gives way to a wonderful jasmine that yields to a delicious Dior vanilla—that’s exactly what I love: that hypermodern vanilla tone with orange nuances. It feels much less heavy than the matching EDT, perfect for enclosed spaces without any risk. It projects quite a bit on my skin, especially since jasmine and I are inseparable. It’s not invasive, but it’s noticeable for about two hours. I adore it, but seeing that I only smelled it in a hidden perfumery and it’s not widely available, I resign myself to it disappearing like so many others. What a shame.
