Gardenia is for those who love white and talcum-powdered scents. At first, on my skin, I only smelled talcum, talcum, and more talcum. It seemed very soapy, loud, and didn’t quite convince me. But after an hour, the flower softens and blends with a sweet vanilla that makes it feminine, delicate, and sophisticated. It’s not for everyone, but it has great quality and incredible longevity, projection, and sillage. It’s worth trying.

More powder, more powder, and even more powder is what I feel on my skin. The opening is intense, and gradually the gardenias emerge; I don’t detect any vanilla. It has excellent longevity and sillage, but be careful with the amount because it can be overwhelming. It’s a unique perfume that doesn’t resemble anything current. I was surprised by the quality, and the price is very low—I bought it at Ciberday for 40,000 Chilean pesos (about $43).
