Cinnamon Rolls by Theodoros Kalotinis

Full-on gourmand. The scent is so real it tastes like a cinnamon roll. I, to give it more realism and sweetness (which it doesn’t lack), usually wear something like bianco latte or with white chocolate. For the price it has, it’s like owning a niche perfume.

Something weird happens with this one for me. On paper, it smells amazing: milk, lemon, and cinnamon, just like my grandma’s warm rice pudding. But on my skin, it lasts seconds before turning into rancid lard or old yeast, nothing like the description. I thought macerating would help, but it didn’t. Everyone else loves it, so I guess it’s my skin clashing with the butter note. The longevity and projection are very low. I don’t recommend buying it blind.

More than a cinnamon roll, it reminds me of condensed milk without lemon. It’s very rich and you can tell the ingredients are quality. It doesn’t have beastly projection, but it creates a very pleasant personal bubble.

The name reflects the scent well, no deception. It has a powerful opening that’s a bit scary, but the projection drops quickly into a personal bubble, which isn’t so bad. Maybe use it almost all year except in summer. This house has positioned itself well in gourmands with a very good quality-to-price ratio.

Most perfumers are abstract painters; Kalotinis is the photographer. The opening is super milky; I feel a lemon glaze with cinnamon and a strong milky base. Then it dries down in 2 minutes, balances out, and ends up as a hyper-realistic cinnamon cookie kuchen. My expectations were high and they were exceeded. I come from commercial and synthetic scents; they’re not bad, but I was looking for something new, realistic, and gourmand. I didn’t think it would be this quality, and for the price, it’s a gift. Definitely, you can hate it or love it. If you’re a gourmand lover looking for something realistic and edible, this TH is ideal to start with. It reminds me of a bakery, a kuchen, and glaze. Longevity is relatively good, lasting all day on skin, and if macerated, it becomes a bomb.

Like most Theodoros, this one is edible. If you were looking for a scent true to its name, here it is: cinnamon, butter, and lots of sugar giving a true cinnamon roll. When it dries, the buttery harshness drops quite a bit, which I appreciate, leaving a more wearable vanilla and cinnamon gourmand. Longevity is around 4 hours on skin, with overwhelming projection and trail at first, but don’t get fooled; after half an hour, it drops sharply and becomes practically intimate. I see it as unisex if you like gourmands. Wearable mainly in fall-winter due to its profile, though projection-wise it could be year-round. It tasted very good to me, but the same thing happens with all these perfumes: I find it hard to find occasions to wear them. Also, the performance is weak, so I probably won’t keep it.

More to me than Swedish cinnamon rolls, it smells like butter cookies with lots of cinnamon. Longevity and trail pass quickly with Kalotinis perfumes: at first, they hit you with an intense flash, making you think it lasts all the time, but it drops after half an hour. Quite photorealistic aroma, but longevity and trail leave something to be desired. Even with that, excellent price for a niche perfume. For gourmand lovers.

As explained perfectly above: it smells like marshmallow milk with cinnamon, even the cone. At first, the butter note is a bit sharp (happened to me with others), but once it settles, it adds more realism. I haven’t tested longevity yet, but it projects strongly and I can’t believe it won’t last. I’m not sure if I’ll feel comfortable because the scent is so realistic. I think the gourmand side is getting out of hand XD
