A greenery that shifts between meadows, plants, and the crisp green of fruits and vegetables. It has an intense floral-green flavor, like rhubarb, but here that unique and wonderful tomato leaf takes the lead. It’s the sparkling, cheerful freshness of a vegetable garden, slightly uplifting and peculiarly refreshing. Another sharp portrait from Maison Margiela, the house of the clearest aromatic moments.

A blend that takes you to an idyllic garden, nothing like the compost smells of reality. It replicates an ideal English countryside, fresh and green, without that Mediterranean heat or acidic fruits. It’s like being in Devonshire. The geranium shines here, with a light touch of tomato and a spark of apple not listed on the notes. I could pay more for the price, but it’s a lovely scent that puts you in a good mood.
The best combination that takes you to an ideal garden, not a real one smelling of compost. Replica smells like an English countryside in a dream: fresh and green, without the Mediterranean heat or typical fruits, it’s a perfect Devonshire. I love the geranium and tomato leaves, a spark at the start that leaves freshly cut herbs. Although it’s not written, I notice a touch of apple. For the price it could last longer, but it’s gorgeous, puts you in a good mood, and evokes a dream garden.
Seeing the notes made me fall in love; geranium is my favorite flower because my grandmothers had them in the garden. From the first spray, the tomato leaf dominates, almost wet earth but fruity. The mandarin is present without being tiring, just what I needed to make it my favorite. The trail is moderate but perfect: everyone notices you but no one gets a headache. I recommend it a lot <33
I fell in love seeing the notes; geranium is my favorite flower because my two grandmothers had tons of them in their gardens. From the first spray, the tomato leaf is very noticeable, almost like wet earth but fruitier. You can smell the mandarin, but it doesn’t get tiring; on the contrary, it’s exactly what it needs to become my favorite. The trail is moderate, but in the best way: people around notice the scent, but no one gets a headache. I highly recommend it <3
I’m surprised; it seems feminine, perhaps due to how it reacts on my skin. It’s fresh and pleasant, though it does get a little sweet later. I think it’s the prettiest green fragrance I’ve tried so far. It works for any time of year: fresh yet enveloping. It smells like a garden at dawn. The tomato note is brief, along with the mandarin, and then it transports me back to my childhood, to my grandmother’s patio full of geraniums that were the stars. The base is soft, lingers on the skin, and ends up being enveloping, with a slightly sweet, woody patchouli. I love it, I never get tired of it. Like others from Maison Margiela, it evolves subtly. It’s a clean, fine green.
Curious. It seems feminine, maybe because of my skin. It’s fresh and pleasant, then becomes sweet. I think it’s the most beautiful green I’ve tried, ideal for any day. It smells like a garden at dawn; the tomato and mandarin don’t last long, then I remember my childhood in my grandmother’s patio full of geraniums. The base is soft, lasts, and becomes enveloping with a sweet, chipri-like patchouli. I love it, it doesn’t tire me. Like others from Maison Margiela, it evolves subtly. A clean, fine green.
To me, it smells like salad. The tomato leaf note overpowers everything else, and on my skin, I only sense that. It’s not an unpleasant smell, but I just don’t like smelling like that. Sorry, it’s not for me.
Since I heard From the Garden at Sephora, I fell in love. It smells fresh and sweet, almost nostalgic, like a story where you tend a garden and magical creatures appear. Technically it’s tomato and patchouli, but for me they’re gnomes and fairies in a wild garden; few perfumes fly my imagination as much. I understand some might see it as intense, but for me it’s magical, it wraps around the skin and lasts 4-5 hours. People are surprised by how different it smells from other popular ones, it’s original and unique. I’ve searched for dupes and nothing comes close. Thanks to Sephora for this magical gem.
Ever since I smelled From the Garden at a Sephora sample, I fell in love. It feels like a fresh, sweet, almost nostalgic scent that makes me feel like I’m in a fairy tale tending my little garden until magical creatures appear. Technically, it smells like tomato leaves and patchouli at their finest (the rest is subtle), but to me, it smells like gnomes and elves, or a druid lost in their wild garden; few perfumes fly my imagination as much as this one. I understand some might find it intense, but for me, that intensity is magical, it envelops the skin, and lasts a good 4-5 hours. People are surprised by how well and differently it smells compared to other popular perfumes, and that’s because it’s a tremendously original and unique aroma to me; I’ve searched for dupes but nothing comes close to how it makes me feel. Always grateful to Sephora for discovering this little gem.
Honestly, with fragrances like DKNY Woman (the rectangular bottle) offering a great tomato scent, if you’re looking for that smell, I’d lean more toward that than From the Garden. Just a heads-up: From the Garden smells good, but I was looking for something more herbal and green, like a garden, and on my skin, all that’s left is the geranium scent. Plus, the DKNY one has a better price and longevity.
The closest thing I’ve smelled to the now discontinued Les Belles by Nina Ricci, the green tomato one, and it reminded me of it instantly. I like it more at first when it’s fresh and transparent. As it dries down, it turns into a strange spicy sweetness that doesn’t sit well with me (they don’t list spices here, but they are in the accords). Overall, it has something I like at the start, especially since there are so few green fragrances of this style nowadays; but in the end, it just doesn’t work for me. I think the spicy notes are too much, only creating friction and eliminating the transparency. It lasts a solid 4-5 hours, and there’s still a bit of a residue left.
Honestly, I love this perfume because it transports me back to my childhood helping my grandfather in the garden. There were so many tomatoes and carrots, and it smells exactly like the leaves when you pulled them off. I get that I like it because it brings back that memory; maybe if I didn’t have that memory, I wouldn’t enjoy it at all.
