Ideal for gourmand fans and it goes straight into my top 3 of Teo Cabanel. It starts with a dusty iris mixed with fruity notes and carrot seeds. Then it evolves into a super creamy, milky iris, supported by sandalwood and subtle spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, or clove, plus a citrus touch like orange or lemon zest from a dessert. And the surprise! At the end, it smells a lot like the best carrot cake you’ve ever tried, but refined. A delicious and 100% original scent; I’ve never smelled anything like this. Projection is moderate for the first 2-3 hours, then it becomes more intimate, lasting about 8 hours on skin. It’s not the best performer from the house, nor the worst; I think it’s acceptable, but if you’re looking for beast mode, you won’t find it here. For gourmand lovers, I see it as totally unisex and very versatile for any occasion or season. In short: I loved it and already have a bottle on the way.

  • Perfect for gourmand lovers and it lands firmly in my top 3 of Teo Cabanel perfumes. At first, you detect a talc-y iris with fruity touches and carrot seeds. As time passes, that iris becomes extremely creamy and milky, with a base of sandalwood and refined, subtle spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, or clove, plus a citrus note reminiscent of orange or lemon zest from a dessert. And surprise! The final result does remind a lot of the best carrot cake you’ve ever tried, but in an elegant way. A delicious and 100% original scent; I’ve never smelled anything like this. Projection is moderate for the first 2-3 hours before settling into a more intimate trail, lasting about 8 hours on skin. In this regard, it’s not the best performer from the house, but neither is it the worst; in my opinion, it’s more than acceptable, although if you’re looking for beast mode, you won’t find it here. If you like gourmand perfumes, I see it as totally unisex and quite versatile for any occasion or season. In short: I liked it a lot and I have a bottle on the way.

  • It’s a clone of Iris de L’Erbolario: a massive iris blast in enormous quantities! I’ve tried all 14 samples from the Teo Cabanel Discovery set and what a disaster; none of them pleased me even half. After all, a perfume has to be liked from minute one, especially at these prices. It’s useless if I only like it in the dry-down if I don’t like it at first; what am I supposed to do, lock myself in a room until the base notes arrive? I’m not surprised they give a €30 discount with the set if it’s not like this; otherwise, it’s impossible. Still, I’d have to choose which of the 14 samples I dislike the least—quite a challenge!

It’s really cute, honestly. At first, it’s pure sandalwood-peach; it reminded me of some compositions with osmanthus that smell like potpourri with pale, rough woods. As it develops, the carrot note starts to peek through, though on my skin it feels too subtle—I’m not sure if it would be more noticeable on others. There are also some lactonic-caramelized nuances that evoke the glaze quite well. Overall, it’s a fairly acidic perfume, with peach acidity, but with a soothing base underneath.

I get the comparison to Pantea and Sorce, but to my nose, they’re worlds apart. At first and even after several wears, this smells like those violet cycles from Canels sold in Mexico. If you don’t know the bakery or aren’t a carrot cake fan, it will immediately remind you of that. Here, everything is balanced with creamy nut notes, super subtle spices, and a blend that, in summary, makes you think of that cake. Time has improved it a lot, but if you’re the type to judge by the first spray and toss it, well… you’ll probably just think it’s an iris scent and move on.
