Descripción
Montblanc Emblem Intense is a spicy aromatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2014, this composition was created by perfumer Sonia Constant. The top notes unfold with cardamom, helichrysum, grapefruit, and coriander; the heart reveals cinnamon, rose, apple, violet leaves, and nutmeg; while the base notes settle on tonka bean, suede, woods, and patchouli.

I was in the store and tried Lolita Lempicka; I liked it at first, but then I felt the strong licorice smell and stopped. I don’t like licorice. Then I tried Mont Blanc Emblem, whose bottle had piqued my curiosity before. I wanted something to neutralize the licorice, and it did. I liked it. I didn’t think much of it, mostly based on the salesperson’s comments, and bought a bottle. Yes, it’s pleasant, but the next day, with a rested nose, I felt a bit regretful. Although it’s a good scent, I didn’t find it as elegant or special as the Mont Blanc Legend line, which I like more. I smelled it several times justifying the price. Was it worth it? No. Do I enjoy it? Yes. The best part is the dry down: it projects quite well, feels like lemon, a touch of sweet rose and grape. Interesting. In the end, it becomes a bit powdery. Definitely a pleasant scent.
I started in-store testing with Lolita Lempicka, but the anise hit a dead end for me. I was looking for something to neutralize that, and Mont Blanc Emblem caught my eye with its bottle. I bought the scent the salesperson recommended, and while I felt it lacked the elegance of Legend the next day with a rested nose, I do enjoy its dry-down and projection. You can detect lemon, a pinkish hint, and something fruity that ends up powdery. It’s a pleasant scent, but I don’t think it’s totally worth the price.
You can hear every note in the composition; from the top to the base they are pronounced, though some stand out. For me, more the cinnamon, apple, nutmeg, coriander, and cardamomo. I feel it as a mix between Montblanc Individual and YSL Nuit de l’Homme, a fusion. Maybe the cardamom and semi-sweet notes make me think that way. Nothing bad about it, lasts 7-9 hours. Yes, it gets very powdery at the end, starting around hour 5-6, but it doesn’t bother me. It carries the Montblanc DNA. I recommend it for normal climates, neither hot nor cold. Ideal for daily wear, casual, work, or parties, although it doesn’t project much; its trail is better, leaving a good path. Smells rich, the best from Montblanc so far. Very versatile. Longevity: 8/10, Versatility: 9/10, Projection: 6/10, Longevity: 8/10, Quality: 6.5/10, Trail: 8.5/10, Scent: 7/10, Total: 7.5/10
Very good opening, but poor longevity. I like its sweet scent… great perfume!!!
Fresh and balsamic with a creamy touch; warm cinnamon and spices are balanced by cardamom, tonka bean, and a suede rose that adds sophistication. Sweet and spicy, it’s more intense than the original Emblem but remains subtle without being overwhelming. The sage clary adds a notable detail. I feel a pleasant balsamic richness, and the bottle is very attractive.
Pleasant, balsamic, and “creamy,” where cinnamon and warm spices stand out along with cardamom, tonka bean, rose, and soft suede. It’s sweet, spicy, and discreet, more intense than the regular Emblem. Wearable, not loud or mass-produced, resulting in an interesting scent. The sage clary note is notable. I sense a certain balsamic unctuousness and warmth. The bottle is very attractive
It seemed like a generic but pleasant fragrance to me. At first, it’s floral and sweet, similar to 1 Million with a bubblegum touch and certain creaminess reminiscent of 212 VIP. After a few hours, the spicy nature emerges with cinnamon, tonka bean, and herbal notes. It’s versatile, though better suited for fall and winter. Its biggest flaw is that it smells like other popular perfumes and loses on projection, being very intimate, although it lasts more than 8 hours.
Emblem Intense is very pleasant, generic but good. It opens floral and sweet, very similar to 1 Million in the first phase; you can detect the rose and a bubblegum aroma. Sometimes it’s creamy, with echoes of 212 VIP. After a few hours, its spicy nature emerges: cinnamon, tonka bean, and something herbal. It’s versatile, though better for fall and winter. The scent is rich, but it loses out to other popular ones like 1 Million and 212 VIP in performance, especially projection. It’s very intimate, though it lasts over 8 hours
Very similar to 1 Million, with a medium trail and 3 to 5 hours of longevity on my skin. But I wouldn’t buy it again; my style is more woody
Beautiful fragrance with an opening that dances between sweet and citrus. One or the other dominates for a bit until it stabilizes into the sweet side, without being overwhelming and very enjoyable. It resembles 1 Million Intense, but it’s more delicate and less intense than Paco Rabanne’s. After about 6 hours, I took a shower and it was still there. Estimated longevity over 9 hours with a great trail. Very refined and elegant
Some perfumes trigger strong reactions, but most Montblancs please everyone. While it doesn’t convince all men, women absolutely love it. Emblem Intense is super pleasant, cheerful, and inoffensive, creating a passive aura that invites trust. My nose easily detects the cardamom, which works wonders here: it removes the dessert-like effect of the cinnamon and makes it refreshing, nothing cloying. As they say, Montblancs are for meeting your girlfriend’s parents; they make a great impression. Trail and longevity are moderate. Very good scent
Some perfumes generate an immediate yes or no, but most Mont Blanc scents are agreeable to everyone. Emblem Intense is cheerful and harmless, creating a passive aura that invites trust. The cardamomo here works magic: it removes the cloyingness of the cinnamon and makes it refreshing. Ideal for making a good impression, like meeting your girlfriend’s parents. Sillage and longevity are moderate, but the scent is very pleasant.
Nice scent, but poor projection and longevity. Acceptable quality, but not a blind buy. It smells good, yet nothing special or new. It’s a pity because it smells well, but it’s a very familiar scent with no surprises. 5/10
Smells very similar to synthetic One Million, but without that typical heaviness. This Montblanc is sweeter, with a floral touch—maybe rose—and a base of cinnamon and wood. Sometimes a very subtle lavender comes through. It’s a super sexy scent, perfect for dates thanks to those extra notes that make it seductive. The only flaw: it lacks projection and potency, despite being called “Intense.” In Argentina, it’s pricier than the average for its line. Scent: 10/10, Intensity & Projection: 3/10, Price: 6/10
Scent: Bad. Projection: Decent. Longevity: Average. Quality: Terrible. Blind buy: Don’t even think about it. It’s another store air freshener type, like Hollister or American Eagle. It doesn’t smell bad, but do you really want to smell like that?
Batch 2018: If you like Calvin Klein Man, go for this; it’s the next evolutionary step, less light, less youthful, and spicier (especially cinnamon), which enhances the sweetness. Maybe it’s not the best fragrance in the world (in what parallel universe does it resemble the One Million?), but it fulfills its function, the rest is smoke. In fact, my wife loved it. P.S.: Don’t buy blind; go to a store or get a decant.
Fragrance: Poor projection. Longevity: Average. Quality: Terrible. Buy blind: Don’t even think about it. Another one from the Hollister or American Eagle store air freshener list. It’s not that it smells bad, but… do you really want to smell like that?
It matches the One Million in cinnamon and woody notes, but what unites them and reveals their similarities is a synthetic molecule called Pomarose (C11H18O), which gives a sweet rose scent mixed with something bitter, like a plum pit. I think it’s a well-executed smell, typical of Montblanc, but it leaves the impression that it won’t be a favorite or go down in history like other super hits. That means it’s not for the masses. It’s elegant, a discreet accessory that doesn’t intimidate or stand out, ideal for a personality that stands out on its own. It’s like when a lady wears a red dress with subtle necklaces and earrings so the dress stands out, not the accessories. It harmonizes very well with a tailored outfit without competing to be the most noticeable thing.
It has something olfactorily familiar with Montblanc Individuell and Montblanc Starwalker.
I’ve finally finished the 100ml. In Chile, you can get it for very little money, which adds a huge value-for-money bonus. It took me a while to get used to it, but now I use it at home before bed. It gives me a sense of well-being; the cinnamon, which usually bothers me, is done here subtly and sweetly. I can smell the violet, and the blend of aromas is very well crafted, nothing synthetic. It’s not a beast, it’s discreet, ideal for autumn or spring. On my skin, it lasts 5-6 hours with minimal sillage and doesn’t bother anyone. For work, I prefer something more stimulating. Now I use it at home and on clothes; the soft vanilla helps me relax. For the price, it’s worth trying this Emblem; the bottle is very eye-catching.
I just finished the 100ml in Chile; for the price, it’s a steal. It took me a while to get used to it, now I use it at home before bed. The cinnamon, which usually bothers me, is subtle and sweet here. I detect violet and a well-executed synthetic blend that doesn’t irritate. It’s not a beast; it’s discreet, ideal for autumn or spring. On my skin, it lasts 5-6 hours with little sillage, perfect for not being intrusive. I apply it on clothes to relax with that vanilla touch. For the price and the striking bottle, it’s worth trying.
The Montblanc One Million is an amber, spicy, and leather (suede) fragrance. It’s rich, but lacks much power; it lasts about 6 hours on my skin. I see it as perfect for an intimate night out due to its low projection. Those who notice the One Million vibe are right: they share the same spirit and 7 out of 10 notes. It’s youthful, sweet, spiced with cinnamon, and heavy on amber. If you’re tired of the One Million style, this isn’t for you, even though it’s less overpowering. But if you’re a fan of the PR One or similar scents, you won’t be disappointed if you find it at a good price.
It smells like bubblegum to me, is it just me?
Flawless commercial proposition! Despite the negative comments, here the cardamom and nutmeg create a joyful, fresh, spicy, and even tropical scent. It rests on the DNA of ‘212 VIP’ but with a distinct dry-down. It’s playful, delicious, and generates tons of compliments. Plus, the price (under $50 for 100ml) is unbeatable. Great perfume.
Innovative bottle design. It shares the same structure as the Emblem, but the Intense version has a more refined and spaced-out finish, making it masculine, elegant, and full of contrasts. Perfect for everyday wear: it projects professionalism without being stiff, instead feeling relaxed and informal.
It’s the most praised fragrance I’ve ever owned: from salespeople to strangers on the street, everyone asked what I was wearing. Too bad it’s discontinued; I managed to grab a batch of 5 units and save them strictly for special occasions. I haven’t found a single dupe that even comes close.
